Bramble

Amazing!

Lovely cosy cottage, great little heated swimming pool and games room. The games room could do with a fan as it was very humid in there. We were a family of 6 with a baby and it was perfect for us as it would be for 6 adults.

The cottage is dirty and needs urgent attention to have a deep clean.

We stayed at Bramble Cottage as a family of 4 with 2 young children.

The 3 bedrooms suited us brilliant so the kids could have a room each. Travel cot and stair gate supplied (just needed own mattress and bedding). The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfy. The rooms were all clean. The lounge area was comfortable with plenty of room, 3 sofas and a large TV. The dining table was the perfect size especially to keep squabbling toddlers away from each other. The kitchen was well equipped. They supply salt and pepper but everything else you'll need to bring your own including foil, kitchen roll. They do supply a few dishwasher tablets, tea towels, washing liquid and dish clothes. There is also soap by all taps. Very helpful that there is a toilet upstairs and downstairs. We made use of the swimming pool and games room which were brilliant! The pool was nice and warm and clean. Deep end very deep so you can have a proper swim. We were able to use a supermarket delivery on the day we arrived which was extremely helpful. Absolutely loved our stay and will definitely recommend to friends and family. Thankyou!!

House was nice during our stay.

The property is located in a superb position near Bakewell. Unfortunately, the property is in need of refurbishment for sure. Sofas needed cleaning, the house was not cleaned prior to our stay. I could expand o this, however, a quick look around can tell what is needed. Kitchen cupboards had parts missing from them. Decoration was peeling away in a number of areas. This isn't what you expect when paying £1300 for a weeks vacation. Pool was nice and warm. No issues with that facility. Generally we had a good break, tge owners just need to ensure the property receives adequate maintenance. I've been renting house like this for the past 20 years for vacations and the bulk of whi h are spotless. This one needs some TLC...

Lovely cottage, plenty of space and comfortable.

A couple of minor things to improve the stay; on arrivals day, a pint of milk in the fridge would be super appreciated. A pair of scissors in the kitchen would be helpful. Pool and games room were fab for the kids.

Kitchen utensils were limited.

Rooms were warm. Plenty of hot water.

We had a wonderful family holiday at Bramble Cottage, six adults and a baby.

It suited us perfectly, the bedrooms were comfortable, en suite a bonus. Wonderfully comfortable beds, duvets and soft pillows covered in lovely Egyptian cotton. Blissful sleeps. Lovely kitchen, lounge and dining area and big family bathroom. Loved having the pool and games room. We managed tp time it when we had it to ourselves which was a bonus. We would definitely return and definitely recommend a stay there. Easy reach to all of the Derbyshire countryside if you want to explore or just a nice relaxing, chilled break.

We loved our cottage stay.

The property was rustic but we liked that. It was very clean and comfortable. Could do with a few more pots and pans and a shelf in the oven but this didn't dampen our stay. The pool and games room were an amazing addition and we made good use of these facilities. It was in a beautiful location and had easy access to Bakewell and Peak walks. Our only issue was in initially finding it. Our Satnav took us to the campsite and we had to ask for directions. Stick to the main road folks.

The tap for the kitchen sink is very, very wobbly.

Thank you so much for the Easter eggs!! It was such a treat for my family to find them around the house. Really nice touch. The playroom, pool and game room really helped with the rainy days! Finding the location caused us some trouble - but we found it in the end when double checking the “check in” email.

We enjoyed our stay, loved the pool and accessibility and freedom of the site.

When the WiFi stopped working it was repaired the next day and another empty cottage offered with its WiFi for the day in the meantime.
