What guests are saying
We had a lovely stay, even though it rained quite a lot.
Glossop is a good place to visit and the owners of the property were lovely. Linda and Chris
Loved our stay at little birchenlea it was so relaxing, if I am in the area again will definitely book the same place the owner's were a lovely couple and very helpful cannot fault it in any way thank-you for a lovely few days
We wanted to spend a relaxing holiday near Dark Peak.
We didn't know that Glossop is in the flight path of Manchester Airport and that there's no real night flight ban. What we didn't realize from the photos: The kitchen-living room can only be ventilated through the front door. The window front (a frosted glass pane with narrow viewing strips) facing the terrace and overlooking a cow pasture above is strictly private and may not be opened. The "patio" in front of the front door is the space between the garage and the garbage bins. The bedroom and bathroom windows face the homeowners' parking lot. The bed is narrow for two people, and one blanket for two isn't ideal in summer. There are cupboards, but we had to store our suitcases in the kitchen-living room. These were the less-than-ideal conditions. Since we arrived at night, a welcome gift of tea bags, instant coffee, fresh milk, and a small cake for the next morning (before our first shopping trip) was a real treat! The Wi-Fi worked very well. We spent a week in Glossop as a mother-daughter getaway; we wouldn't be staying in Little Birchinlea again, but we still had a lovely week.
