The Mounts was a super bungalow with above and beyond what was required.

Everything was so good, lovely location, peaceful and hens and birds all around and horses too. Magnificent welcome pack and very good hosts. Can't find anything to fault. We and our dogs had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend it.

The best dog friendly cottage we have stayed in.

Our four small dogs just loved to roam outside and we could let them without fear of them escaping. Surrounded by fields the bungalow is so user friendly with everything to hand and very warm. Thank you to Margaret and Brian for the lovely welcome pack. We so enjoyed our stay that we are going to book again for next year.

Peaceful location with lots of birdlife and great views of sunrise and sunset.

The bungalow is roomy and well equipped and has a very secure garden for dogs. Plenty of local footpaths but also near to the Wyre Forest, Ludlow and Bridgnorth. There is a good cafe at Clee Hill serving excellent cakes and we had a takeaway from the Thai restaurant at Cleo Mortimer which was very good. The owners are very friendly and hospitable leaving a very nice welcome pack and bringing a bottle of bubbly on New Year’s Day. We were a bit worried it might be chilly over New Year but we needn’t have worried as the property was lovely and warm. Would definitely recommend for a group with dogs. There were four of us and two dogs and we had plenty of room.

We have just returned from a wonderful week at the bungalow.

The welcome pack was far beyond any we have had before,for which we were most grateful.Lovely Santa bedding on all the beds and plenty of nice clean towels. In fact,even though it was Christmas,the cupboards were so full of utensils etc that we needed for nothing. Beautiful views and walks completed our enjoyment and the dog safe garden meant no problems there. Thankyou Margaret and Brian for a lovely break and we hope to return soon.

It is in an excellent location to visit many towns and villages all within easy driving reach. The Bungalow sits in beautiful surroundings on the Clee Common, the scenery is breath taking. I cannot recommend the Bungalow enough.suitable for people of all ages. The owners are very friendly and helpful, but not intrusive.

The Bungalow has absolutely everything you need, it's like a home from home.

Quiet, comfortable and deceptively spacious. We loved our stay, the kids loved the patio area with friendly horse. And the first holiday ever, with comfy beds and sofas! Highly recommend.

The Bungalow is in a perfect place for a relaxing holiday,the back garden is very secure so you have peace of mind in letting children and dogs run round safely, it has everything one would need and very comfortable.

The welcome pack was the best we have received in 30yrs of self catering ( a big thank you to Margaret). it is within easy reach of many lovely towns and villages. We canot fault the Bungalow and would recommend it without hesitation.We hope to return early next year.

The Bungalow is a lovely place to stay in wonderful surroundings.

We thoroughly enjoyed watching the birds on the feeder especially as many were feeding their young. The owners were very friendly and the dogs enjoyed playing in the field. We just wish you could transfer it to Yorkshire. The wetroom is accessible but could be improved by additional rails and a nonslip floor in the shower - just a suggestion. The welcome pack was very generous.

The Bungalow is a perfect place to stay for peace and quiet.

The property itself is a delight, the furnishings are perfect for a family holiday and the kitchen is perfectly fitted out with all that's needed for a self catering holiday. The enclosed garden gave immense peace of mind for us with dogs, the chickens and horses were a delight to see. Our holiday was appalling for weather, but it didn't dampen the enjoyment we got from our holiday or the accommodation. And the owner is really lovely lady

Felt at home as soon as we arrived.

Greeted as we pulled up. Then finding the welcome hamper was wonderful. Nothing dampen our enjoy, not even the weather. We've even booked another stay!

The Bungalow was perfect for what we needed.

The owner was very facilitating with our animals and all people on the site of the Mounts were friendly and welcoming. The property was very comfortable and decor upgraded nicely since we visited 5 years previous. Walks from the property for miles and outstanding views. Visiting Bridgenorth and Ludlow were easy drives. Would love to experience this in a better season as everywhere was wet and muddy (expected as due to the recent and continuous storms) but we had no worries as the facilities and location made it easy for us. Recommended for animal lovers and those loving the great outdoors. Thank you.

The bungalow in a beautiful setting has everything you could possibly need, is clean and so comfortable and the welcome goodies (fresh eggs, bread, butter, wine and fruit) from the lovely hosts much appreciated. Loved waking up to the sound of the Cockerell and chickens outside the bedroom window and the horses coming to say hello over the fence of the patio. Our dogs also enjoyed the many lovely walks right on the doorstep. just cant fault it

Our weeks holiday at the Bungalow was very relaxing.

It is situated on a farm surrounded with fields most of them with Horses. It was spacious comfortable spotlessly clean & very well equipped with everything needed to make our holiday perfect. The basket of fruit & other goodies was very welcomed The Hopton Crown pun nearby was also good for meals. Would definately recommend this property to anyone

A peaceful, spotlessly clean cottage in a lovely location close to the common and the far reaching views.

We so enjoyed our walks with our dog. Margaret and Brian made us feel so welcome with the goodies waiting for us on our arrival. The fenced rear garden is perfect for a dog and lovely to sit in on a sunny day. We hope to return next year.

It had everything we needed and was very homely. The property was so clean and had beautiful views.

My dogs and I had a very comfortable, quiet & relaxing week here.

The directions to "the Bungalow" are spot on made easier by the fact that the garage at Doddington is on the curve of the A4117 where the required turn off is situated. "The Bungalow" is situated at the far north-eastern corner of the smallholding, past Margaret's and Brian's house, however whilst they were always there, they were never intrusive. The welcome package of wine, fruit, milk, eggs and bread was greatly appreciated as were the little items that can be so easily forgotten like tea, tomato sauce mustard etc. "The Bungalow" is very spacious and well equipped with the extended garden being greatly appreciated by my dogs. The free-range hens in the next field kept the dogs amused as they are used to seeing horses similar to the ones two fields down. The Bungalow itself is spacious, tastefully decorated and well-lit with natural daylight. Next to the smallholding is Catherton Common which has a well laid out path network with some fantastic views. "The Bungalow" is well situated for exploring not only the many attractions of South Shropshire but also those in Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Mid Wales.

We enjoyed our week away in this beautiful property, it was so peacefull and relaxing in the middle of nowhere with fields all around most of them had horses in them ,the one next to the bungalow garden there was a lovely horse called Della who visited everyday for carrotts and apples.

Margaret and Brian who owned the property were lovely and very kind they left us a welcome gift of bread,milk,butter,fresh farm eggs from the chickens that were running around also a basket of fruit and bottle of wine .It was my husband and myselfs 50th wedding anniversaery while we were there and we had a great time with our family . Thank so much Margaret for keeping my surprise secret LOL will definitely be booking again in the near future ,it was just what the doctor ordered .

We really enjoyed our holiday at The Bungalow.

It was comfortable, clean and very well equipped. A large welcome pack was provided which was unexpected. The area was peaceful and had some amazing views and there was a calming aura and slower pace of life which was relaxing. We enjoyed watching the birds (including a woodpecker), rabbits, squirrels and making the acquaintance of Della the horse and the cat. Margaret and Brian (owners) were friendly and helpful which we appreciated. This was our first time staying here but we would like to return soon and totally unwind.

We loved our week at The Bungalow.

Very comfortable, spacious accommodation. Plenty of places to visit within reach. There was the additional treat of a friendly horse, Della, in a field just outside the back garden. We will, hopefully, return in the not too distant future.

A well designed, equipped and located holiday home combining rural seclusion with easy access to Shropshire’s many attractions.

The owners were very friendly and provided an unexpected, very generous, welcome pack of provisions. It is in a private area with an enclosed garden and being all on one level with ramps to outside was perfect for one of our dogs who has poor sight. It is well equipped and we needed for nothing. The local scenery and walks were beautiful. All in all, The Bungalow was ideal. We hope to go again soon.

The place was lovely, need to update the photos as they ones onsite do not do it justice, everything was provided and you could not want for anything, it was lovely and peaceful and would definitely go back again.

The owners left you to your own devices but there is needed. The common is a stones throw away from the cottage which the dogs love, we would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. The Gardner Household

Very friendly and helpful owners.

Very clean and spacious. The welcome pack was tasty and helpful for the first night. A great place to stay if you are looking to go walking with dogs. Ludlow is nearby and has markets and great places to eat or stop for a cuppa and slice of cake.

Generally loved this cottage - very quiet and peaceful.

I am always a bit wary of renting a cottage with owners close by but Margaret and Brian were perfect hosts - helpful but left us on our own. The sitting area is by necessity quite small which with 4 dogs was occasionally a little difficult - they learnt to back out of corners very successfully! The horse over the fence did on occasions shatter the peace with dogs barking! The utility area is a godsend with muddy dogs who loved the walk from the door onto the common! ( beware of sheep hiding behind gorse bushes!) A slightly larger area of enclosed garden would have made a good garden perfect! Overall a really good cottage to stay in especially with large numbers of dogs!

Lovely location for a peaceful week.

Cottage is well equipped and clean and the owners had thoughtfully left some welcome items. Rear garden is secure and as a result is great for the dogs. In a perfect world, the far side of the cottage (bedroom side) would also be fenced as part of the garden and the cottage would have a wood burner or open fire for cosiness. We would happily stay here again. Local top tip is the Bennett's End pub for Sunday lunch: friendly locals, good food, and dogs welcome in the bar.

Lovely holiday bungalow in a lovely quiet location.

Comfortable beds and comfy sofas to relax on. Lovely outlook and apart from the occasional neigh from one of the horses it was so quiet and relaxing. Our daughters dog, Jazz thoroughly enjoyed herself ,although she didn't know what to make of the strange animals just over the fence, that would be the Llamas. She is so brave she just stood and watched them until the day before we went home when she summoned up the courage to run up to the fence and bark at them, but they just stood and looked at her. Family had a few trips into Ludlow, mainly so that the dog could go stand in the river that runs through there, being a dog friendly town the were plenty of other dogs to talk to. Grandaughter had a day out at the West Midland Safari park and the amusement park attached to it, had a super day there. I think the only down side was that some of the kitchen equipment could do with upgrading. Mainly the frying pans. Other than that we would be more than happy to stay at The Bungalow again. we would be more than happy to stay there agin.

Just that the surrounding countryside is beyond beautiful and it's a lovely place to explore all the Shires and Cotswolds, the Malverns, Worcestershire.

So many hills to climb and beautiful towns to visit.

The owners have obviously updated the accommodation since the photos were taken and the living room furnishings in particular, were of a much higher standard than we anticipated.

The owners were very friendly and the welcome pack of food and wine was a treat. The whole accommodation was set up with a dog-loving family in mind and the curious alpacas added interest. Although set in a beautiful rural location, Ludlow was not far for supermarket shops and the scenery in the general locale was breathtaking. I would recommend The Bungalow to anyone wanting peace, quiet and a lovely area to walk their dogs.

The showers were a little bit slippery due to the tiled floor and step up into the shower which was also tiled so care is needed when using.

The bungalow is in a beautiful setting with a group of Alpacas on the other side of the fence who were very curious but friendly! If a quiet holiday is needed then the bungalow is the ideal place to stay.

Lovely, peaceful, rural setting.

The bungalow was so spacious with two shower rooms and two separate toilets. The beds were very comfortable, the best we have had in rented accommodation, previously having had unaired bedding an lumpy, uncomfortable mattresses.It was well furnished and spotlessly clean, and had a good sized well enclosed garden, safe for small dogs. The owner was very welcoming, and had provided a lovely welcome pack of bread, butter, eggs, milk, wine and an enormous basket of assorted fruit. Coffee and tea was also provided. I would highly recommend a stay there.

The accommodation was very spacious, extremely clean, comfortable and nicely furnished with a well-kept secure lawned garden for our dogs.

Tranquil location, excellent parking. The Owner of the property was friendly and helpful but unobtrusive. The provision of domestic appliances and equipment was outstanding. I wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend this property.
