Stonecroft Lodge has great accommodation in a lovely setting, a relaxing environment, a very nicely decorated warm and comfortable annexe, spacious, spotlessly clean and with everything you need for your stay.

Surrounded by fabulous gardens and parking is a plus. Ideal for all Peak District locations including nearby Ashbourne and Belper, with some great cycling routes.We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

We felt at home here from the minute we arrived.

A beautiful, clean, well appointed property with plenty of space for the two of us and a warm, comfy feel once the heating went on. This late November visit was more for R&R than exploring but we would definitely like to go back in the summer and would not hesitate to re-book Stonecroft Lodge.

A lovely place to stay in quiet surroundings yet close to local villages lovely views from all of the windows.

Everything you could possibly need provided and everywhere spotlessly clean. Would say a perfect place to stay with a new sofa and chair as they seemed over soft and quite old - if like us your knees are aged too is a struggle to get up from them

We take the opportunity to catch up with relatives and to tour around, so many places to visit.

A really nice property for two people, in a quiet location and easy to reach local attractions.

However, for me in the kitchen, 4 of everything isn't enough and a few more items, like a bread bin would be useful.

This was our 3rd holiday at Stonecroft Lodge obviously that's a statement in it's self, we love the area and can visit family too.

Andrew and Christine are lovely hosts and keep the property beautiful I'm sure we will visit for a 4th time soon x

Lovely apartment with everything needed for a holiday.

Extremely comfortable and peaceful. Perfectly situated to visit the surrounding area with a 5 minute walk to the local buses to Derby.Nice to leave the car for a change. Owners left me to my own devices but were on hand if needed. Highly recommendable and will return when next in the area.

Great place to stay.

Very comfortable with a smart tv so we could log on to prime and Netflix. Also the added use of a dishwasher. Even though the owner lives on site they are there just if you need them and do not encroach on your space. Would definitely return and would recommend it to anyone

We had a lovely time in this Annex.

The furnishings were very nice, very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. We only put four stars for comfort because with the two days when the weather was hot we found the Annex a bit hot for comfort and there was unfortunately no fan supplied: We wondered how hot in the Annex could it be if the temperature would be 30 degrees or more. But in the Autumn or Winter months the Annex must be absolutely lovely.

The property was lovely and so comfortable.

It was in beautiful surroundings and close to attractions that we wanted to see. The owners had put milk in the fridge and provided a packet of biscuits, which we thought was very kind. We actually arrived an hour earlier than the 4 o'clock check in and we were greeted by Christine who promptly said we were welcome to enter the property and showed us around. Would definitely recommend this property to family and friends and would definitely come back.

This was our 3rd stay at Stonecroft Lodge & as always on our arrival everything was perfect for a comfortable & cosy stay.

Christine & Andrew are lovely & although they give you complete privacy they are always available to help if you should need anything.

Stonecroft Lodge is a quality place to take some time out.

It is really clean, well kept with added gestures including a loaf of bread, and milk in the fridge being provided on arrival. We would highly recommend treating yourself to a stay in this peaceful, relaxing place which is in a great location for exploring Derbyshire.

Thought the apartment was very nice and very quiet, and we would be happy to stay there again.

Only problem we had was with the shower head wanting to hang down and face the wall. Perhaps it was us, but the only way we could keep it in place was by wedging flannels behind it. Mirrors were in need of a clean. Apart from those minor things it was all very satisfactory. We appreciated the bread and milk left for us on arrival.

This was our 2nd visit to this lovely property, it's a good location to visit many places of interest, we were down there for a family wedding and thought as well make it a week's holiday at the same time.

We enjoyed our stay at Stonecroft Lodge.

The owners were very pleasant and welcoming. The accommodation was very clean, and well equipped. The summer house was nice to use on an evening for a comfortable read. The area was very quiet, which added to the relaxing atmosphere. Plenty to do around the area including Kedleston Hall, Carsington Water, etc. The Great British Car Journey well worth visiting especially on a rainy day. Also visited Ashbourne, Buxton and, of course, Belper. Would definitely like to stay here again in the future.

It was wonderful to revisit Stonecroft lodge.

Very clean and comfortable. A good base for getting out and about as well as catching up with family. Will return very soon we hope.

Spacious annex above triple garage, which I found comfortable and relaxing.

Easy parking on the driveway and a beautiful garden to look out onto and enjoy. I appreciated the Smart TV when indoors, and enjoyed getting the bus into Derby (about 5 minutes walk to the bus stop). The popular destinations like Buxton, Bakewell and Matlock are an easy drive, many roads with great views. Wirksworth town, and nearby Black Rocks were an unexpected delight. Great location and lovely hosts.

We really enjoyed our stay at Stonecroft Lodge.

Weather was good and we enjoyed eating our evening meals in the garden area. During our stay a new high speed wi-fi was installed and works well. There is a good bus service that we used about 10 minute walk to bus stop. One way runs to Matlock and Bakewell and the other way to Belper and Derby.

What a fabulous property.

We found everything to be perfect for our needs. The accommodation is ideal as a base for enjoying the many and varied aspects of Derbyshire. We were extremely fortunate with our allocated weather and whiled away many hours sat outside the summer house soaking up the early evening rays.

This was our 2nd visit, staying for 2 weeks this time, as we enjoyed our 1st stay so much!

The apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped for all our needs. Well situated to reach much of the southern Peak District. The location was very quiet and had beautiful views. Bed is really comfy. Dishwasher, washing machine, wifi and smart tv were much appreciated. Heating and hot water very efficient. Highly recommend.

A beautiful, comfortable apartment with everything we needed.

Owner is a lovely lady. We used it for a few days when moving house as we had a short delay between sale and purchase and it was ideally positioned near to our new property. Unfortunately, because of the forecast for heavy snow, we had to vacate early to ensure we were able to get to our property which is much higher in the hills nearby. Would highly recommend it for anyone visiting Derbyshire as it is well positioned for exploring the area.

Very cosy and we found it ideal for what we wanted.

Quiet and handy for visiting the White Peak area. There is a bus service nearby which we used a couple of times but need a car to make the best of the locality. We will certainly check availability if back in the area. I followed the directions given coming via Cross O The Hand and missed the property; would have been easier directed from Wirksworth. A very minor point and not related at all to the actual property and facilities.

No complaints about our stay - we loved the accommodation.

The only slight problem was the virtually non existent Wi-fi, but this wasn’t a big deal as the internet was available via my phone which has a generous data allowance.

Always cosy with heating that was so easy to adjust. Had everything we needed although a hairdryer would be a helpful addition. Beautiful countryside and plenty to do in the locality.

A wonderful place to stay!

Stonecroft lodge is a perfect hideaway, far enough away from civilisation to be quiet and relaxing, yet close enough to enough pubs, shops and local attractions.

We absolutely loved our time there and will certainly visit again.

The apartment is a perfect base for exploring the southern (White) Peak District.

It was beautifully furnished and well equipped. We were particularly impressed with the cleanliness and COVID precautions - so we felt at ease immediately. The owners are very friendly. It is located down a quiet rural road and we enjoyed the peace and tranquility. Would highly recommend and would love to return.

Had a week long staycation in this beautiful property, which had everything I needed and some.

Spotlessly clean, the owners were around if needed, but very discreet. Set in lovely rural Derbyshire, yet only 15 minutes drive into Belper, for shops etc. Local pubs in all directions. Was blessed with dry weather all week and had some fantastic walks in the nearby Peak District National Park and local area.

Only one tiny problem - no hairdryer.

The apartment is located within easy reach by car of local places of interest e.g. Kedlington Hall, Carsington Water & Dovedale

We were made very welcome and loved being in Turnditch, and exploring the local area. It was a perfect spot for anyone visiting the Peak District. The apartment is very comfortable with all the facilities you need. It’s spacious and was very clean. The countryside around Turnditch is stunning and it was a great area for walks. The owners were very friendly but discreet. We really enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful week at stone Croft lodge.

We were made to feel very welcome by Christine who reassured us that the annex had been given a deep clean and indeed it was spotless. We travelled out and about feeling very safe, although Bakewell was very crowded, and of course masks were worn be most people. We hope to return in the near future.

Stonecroft lodge is a really spacious, comfortable place to stay, the owners are so helpful and accommodating, evan leaving a small loaf of bread and some milk for us when we arrived, that was a huge bonus, plenty of cupboard space in the kitchen & bedroom.

Stonecroft lodge is ideally placed for exploring the peak district, and the surrounding area. we wouldn't hesitate to recommed Stonecroft lodge and we would love to stay there again sometime.

This is a stunning, spacious, well equipped apartment in beautiful extensive gardens with the use of a summer house and garden furniture.

This holiday annexe is a very comfortable place to stay.

There is plenty of room for 2 people and it has all the necessary facilities for a very comfortable stay. There is a beautiful shared garden to sit in with a table and chairs for al fresco dining. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It is ideally situated for walking and touring the area.

The original cottage we booked became unavailable at the last minute, but the customer service team were quick to find us an alternative which we were really pleased with.
