Very beautiful part of the country.

Scenery is wonderful. Very peaceful, restful place to stay. Perfect for walkers, etc.

The Parlour is a wonderful, cosy base for a super holiday in the Peaks.

The location is superb - extremely quiet and peaceful yet a short 15 min drive from so many fab places. We were able to get to Mam Tor for sunrise in no time at all and we never had to drive far for an adventure. The accommodation is really comfy and clean and fully equipped with all the things you need. The dishwasher was brilliant and made cleaning up after dinners quick and easy. We felt very welcome and loved our stay - thank you.

Great week away again in this cottage, clean, well equiped and the owners are so approachable and my little girl loved seeing all the animals.

The surroundings are beautiful and with lots of the Peak District within easy reach and we were made very welcome indeed. We hope to return again soon.

We loved staying at the Parlour on Wendy's farm.

It was home from home with everything we needed for a week long stay in Derbyshire. My daughter loved seeing all the animals and appreciated Disney Plus on the TV for cosy evenings after a long walk. The cottage was conveniently located within half an hour of great walks and popular towns/attractions. We would definitely return and stay here again.

It’s a comfortable 2-bed accommodation with a spacious bathroom, ample storage, and an open-plan set-up downstairs that offers everything you could possibly need for a short stay. A great location to explore nearby towns and stately homes like Chatsworth or Haddon Hall. ^A log fire or burner would make a perfect addition — the Peaks tend to be much colder in winter. It snowed while there and we loved it.*

The cottage is sick cosy and the use of the washing machine and drying room was brilliant seen as I forgot to pack my son extra pants! The holiday was marvellous, entirely due to the perfection of The Parlour Cottage in which we stayed.

We kept saying, ‘There’s nothing lacking here’. It was comfortable in all respects, and lovely and quiet. It was situated on the cleanest, tidiest farm I’ve I’ve ever experienced. The Cottage reflected this too. Wendy was very welcoming, and helpful at all times during the holiday. It was was a lovely relaxing time: just what was needed.

The cottage has everything you need and is a lovely comfortable place to be.

If you like "middle of nowhere" vibes, this is the place, although the owner lives next door and is always happy to sort things out. Tideswell is only 10 minutes drive away and the location is lovely. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful spot, quiet and rural.

Lots of parking and space. We were lucky enough to be here at lambing and the very friendly owner showed us the new born lambs and introduced us to the horses. Perfect base location to explore the surrounding area of the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District which was just gorgeous. Accommodation was quiet and cosy and pretty well equipped. We were here for 5 days, I would have loved to have stayed for longer.

Cottage nicely decorated for Christmas including a Christmas tree.

Owner lives nearby and was very helpful if needed. The Anchor Inn at Tideswell made us very welcome for Christmas dinner kindly organised by the owner of the cottage.Excellent parking spaces.Everything one needs for a quiet getaway.

The cottage was comfortable and cosy, it had everything we needed and despite being nicely remote was easy to find.

We had great walks from the door but there was also lots of information about local places to visit if we had needed them . We would definitely love to return.

We had a very lovely stay at The Parlour, and really appreciated the accommodation.

The cottage provided very comfortable, and well equipped facilities on a very well maintained farm, and while compact, was perfect for our family of 5. We especially appreciated the cleanliness and the lovely bright flowers on arrival. The WiFi and charging stations were a nice touch for those who needed them, and the shared utility space, and access to a paddock for kids to play were also great benefits. The cottage was fantastically well placed for the locations we wanted to get to, and we were only a short drive from walks at Mam Tor, Monsol Trail and Chatsworth, as well as the caverns at Castleton, the reservoirs and Buxton and Bakewell. Thank you for a very comfortable and lovely stay!

We had all of the facilities we expected and a few extras, which were a lovely bonus.

The cottage was very clean and although the kitchen area was small it had all the necessary items most people would require. We also had a basket of snacks provided which went down very well with a cup of tea on arrival. Our host was very helpful despite having some family issues to deal with during our stay. The cottage is at the top of a steep hill and when you go out in either direction you have a panoramic view of green fields stretching out as far as the eye can see.

We absolutely loved our time at The Parlour.

Host made us feel very welcome, including lots of recommendations for days out. The cottage itself is perfect, we are a family of 5 and it was a great base for us. Already looking at dates to book again for next year. Is a great place to get some peace and quiet, but not far from everything you’d like to do in The Peak District.

Stayed at this property a number of times and will definitely stay again.

The location is great for visiting the surrounding area. On this occasion we also rented the adjoining property (the Dairy), for my daughter and her young family. We all enjoyed our stay, and time in the peak district.

Excellent location for exploring the area-although we didn’t find the private footpath.

Loved seeing the horses in the morning, and hearing curlews in the nearby fields. Lounge area comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Both bedrooms very comfortable. The triple bedroom looked like it had 3 proper beds rather than 2 and a folding bed. There was an issue with the broadband which was solved very promptly by owner: thank you

Only down side if family of 5 needed to cook the space is very limited Perfect area for visiting many places of interest around the Peak District.

Very confusiing about laundry bags and ringing bell on departure - couldn't find bags and no-one answered bell. Your instructions sheet has several ends of lines missing, slightly confusing. Took us a while to find cutlery! Overrall, very satisfied.

The cottage has everything we could need for our toddler.

The kitchen is also well equipped, lovely location, really friendly owners. I’ve been recommending it to everyone back home and can’t wait to visit again.

Wonderfull little cottage very cosy with a lovely atmosphere stunning views and the sunrise views was spectacular mile walk to bus stop close to bradwell tideswell and bakewell, highly recommended to those that like a quiet getaway, owners are lovely and I would visit again , 5 star holiday.

This was a comfortable well-equipped cottage on a fairly remote farm location but with easy links to many places of interest nearby.

The host was friendly without being intrusive and we enjoyed meeting the various animals on the farm.

We where made very welcome by the property owner and assured us if we needed anything just ask.

This was a family holiday we also had the connecting cottage and together we had enjoyable holiday.

The beds were really comfy and we had a great stay!! Wendy came to meet us and we were even able to say hello to her horses! Would deffo come back and recommend if you want a peaceful weekend away! Only 'bad' thing we found was the kitchen equippment wasn't very clean - maybe dishwasher is a bit old? But we washed it again and wasn't a big deal :)

The owners have thought about everything especially with Covid 19. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and was very comfortable. Added bonus with the dishwasher in our cottage and use of washing machine in the utility room. My children loved the animals around the cottage and loved exploring the farm's fields. Thank you Wendy for the tip with the hillocks. My children are going to miss your sheep and cats.

Great place to stay very quite very clean and everything we needed Loverly touch is the biscuits tea and coffee in the cottage Flight was delayed and host kindly let us remain in the property well past checking out time

What a lovely cottage - very well equipped compared to some I've been in!

Lovely touches show that these cottages have been put together thoughtfully and with care. Peaceful and close to many great places, Wendy was very hospitable and checked we had enough supplies when it snowed, as driving without a 4x4 wasn't possible. Walks from the door and great views, would love to return :)

We booked the cottage for Xmas week and wondered whether to take Xmas decorations with us.

We needn't have bothered: the cottage was decorated throughout and included a tree with lights - far more than we would have expected. We were met on arrival to make sure that everything was alright and were greeted with mince pies and chocolates. The whole experience was terrific with the reassurance that assistance was always nearby without it feeling intrusive. Highly recommended.

The cottage is in a beautiful area and has wonderful views.

Although the cottage is on a single track road it is a very busy road with traffic racing by. Everyone is very helpful and when we had problems with the television set, they couldn’t have been more helpful.

During our stay rain & snow leaked in through the window which was dissapointing.

We had to put up with the sound of splashing water. Sadly the owner was going away & her comment on return wasnt really apologetic didnt offer us anything for inconvienance.

This little cottage is so cute and comfortable.

We have had an extremely enjoyable and easy going holiday because the location is idyllic and so peaceful and quiet. Our host is so helpful and very attentive to any requests. The facilities are more than adequate. We’ll be back! Our granddaughter (aged 10) summed it up when she wrote in the visitors book ‘fantastic place , 5 stars! The view from the cottage is so interesting as you watch the sheep and their antics as well as the horses. Surrounding areas are wonderful to walk, and the villages are very quaint. We only live in Sheffield, but we could have been a million miles away.. that’s how it felt.

The host was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location is great, only a few miles from everywhere we wanted to visit, as well as great views from the front of the property. The accommodation was perfect, very cosy, had everything we needed in the kitchen(including a dishwasher!), the shower was amazing! I would be clutching at straws trying to find something negative to say about our stay.

It was a lovely homely cottage with little extras that we wouldn’t even have thought of, such as torches by each bedside and labelled light switches.

The owner was very friendly and helpful and suggested walks and days out that were just great! A lovely holiday.

Lovely, clean, comfortable cottage in a beautiful serene location.

I came in May for 2 nights, as part of a group of 5 ladies, looking for a pleasant base to go sight seeing and have a catch up weekend. Mrs Mycock, the owner was so friendly and on hand if we needed anything. After a busy day we slept like logs in the super comfy beds! We would all definitely come back, fantastic value for money.

The views across the dales from the cottage are wonderful as are the sheep, with their lambs, in the field across from the cottage.

It feels and sounds as if you are in the middle of nowhere but in reality the cottage is not far from main roads and has wonderful access to all of our Derbyshire favourite walks and areas. The cottage itself was wonderfully warm and cosy having had a new heating system fitted recently. The cupboards were well stocked with plenty of pans and crockery. Dishwasher tablets were provided and hand washing liquid for those of us who prefer. The cutlery is hidden in a drawer at the end of the dining table......took me a while to find this, so perhaps it needs to be on the description somewhere? We would love to do a return visit as we were so pleased with our stay.

Derbyshire was a beautiful place to visit, even in the cold, damp month of January! Wendy (the owner) kindly checked in with us re: our journey as she was concerned for us and the snow. The cottage was well-kitted out and very cosy. Our girls were able to help with the horse too which made their day! A lovely getaway and we will definitely consider going again. :-)
