Mel and her family are always welcoming and on hand if any advice is required. We have family in the area and this is so much nicer than staying at a hotel, more homely and comfortable. A great spot to base a visit to the Midlands and Peak District.

"Bellamour End Cottage was perfect for us and in the ideal location."
The cottage had every amenity that we could wish for and was spotlessly clean throughout. Everything was extremely comfortable and we felt totally relaxed throughout our stay. On arrival we were made very welcome by Mel, who was the most friendly and obliging of hostesses. The welcome basket including fresh laid eggs, homemade marmalade and sourdough bread was the icing on the cake!
We would have no hesitation in returning here again should the occasion arise.
Thank you Mel for your most kind hospitality.

"Lovely cottage and lovely owners!"
Clean, homely and comfy, lots of books and games provided for entertainment. But of course, the big draw for our family of townies was collecting eggs from the chickens and feeding the very friendly sheep! The owners were very kind and helpful, telling us about walks we could do and some places of local interest, like the book exchange and excellent playground. Really enjoyed our weekend Chez Bellamour, the kids loved it and being in such a cosy place in the country was just the winter getaway we needed.

Beautiful location on the edge of Rugeley with a local pub and railway station within walking distance. Mel and her family are great, really helpful and kind. What’s not to enjoy in this lovely cottage, with owls hooting at night, free range eggs and chickens scratching outside. Plus Cannock Chase on the doorstep.
PS for those of us who need a comfortable bed, these were very comfortable. One of the best cottages we’ve stayed in and we will be back.

"The cottage was beautiful, and so well-equipped."
There was a lovely cosy feel, with the log burner already set for us, and beautifully decorated, comfortable bedrooms. The kitchen had everything you could need to cater for a family, and the information folder gave great recommendations for local eateries and takeaways so we didn’t always have to. There were even toys and tableware for the kids. Our host could not have been more welcoming - from the delicious home baked bread and farm produced eggs and honey left for us on our arrival, to letting our son feed the chickens and collect the eggs. This is the first time we have been on this type of holiday, and we will definitely be back.

In fact we joked about leaving a terrible review so they we could keep this little gem a secret from the wider world!! It's a perfect cottage in a beautiful location. Tastefully furnished with lots of extra touches to make our stay even more memorable. The log burner was set, ready to be lit, fresh milk in the fridge for a cuppa and other delicious treats were left for us, by Melanie the super friendly and helpful host. It's perfect for couples and families and there is plenty to do in the local area, even in lockdown. We cycled, walked and ate out, it was a well needed break from 'normal life'!! We will definitely return.

"We (a three-generation family) had a most wonderful stay at Bellamour End Cottage last week."
Given the difficult circumstances of the current uncertain times, we, understandably, had some concerns about travelling anywhere but we needed to have no worries - the minute we arrived Mel was there to greet us in person.
What a great welcome - Mel's whole family were involved in the preparation - George baked the bread, Wren gathered the eggs from the free-range chickens and ducks, Ted provided the firewood and the bees provided the honey. By the time we left we felt part of this lovely family - including the grandparents!
Mel is such a super lady and a super host. She strikes that difficult balance of ensuring we had everything we could possibly need throughout the visit and the recognition of letting us just get on with whatever we chose to do.
The cottage is top notch - pristine, warm, welcoming and so well-equipped. Mel's attention to detail assured the most relaxing break, proving beyond doubt that a 'staycation' is the way to go! Having never visited this area before, there was little or no need to pre-research places to visit, eat etc. All Mel's files and recommendations had been updated with the latest Covid-19 information regarding openings, routines, deliveries for take-outs etc - thank you for recommending the local Chinese - first rate-cuisine was delivered fresh, on time and roasting hot!!
Mel - your (and Wren's) kindness and patience with the children went above and beyond the norm - such a wonderful experience for them and fond memories to take home.
I would unreservedly recommend Bellamour - it is what it says on the tin - a beloved place.
