The Office

As a base to explore Ironbridge, The Office is perfect.

Believe the description when it states there is a hill to the accommodation, but then it is in the gorge! Perfect walking distance for the many restaurants- but the accommodation is also well equipped to cook in. The allocated parking space was a big consideration in choosing The Office. We would totally recommend.

The Office is, without doubt, the hidden gem of Ironbridge.

A beautifully presented hideaway cottage and although just a few hundred yards from the High Street it's in a peaceful setting. An ideal place for a great holiday for two. It really is highly recommended.

A lovely, well equipped and comfortable cottage.

This was a lovely cottage very well equipped kitchen and a freezer was a lovely bonus.

The shower room was lovely - I've never seen electronic controls like that before but we followed the instructions and it worked well. The lounge and bedroom were fine although I did find the mattress too soft. It was good to have a designated parking spot although it was a bit of a climb to the cottage but we expected that from the description on the website. Jude was very helpful and even asked if we had any dietary requirements for the welcome pack (we did). It was lovely being in the centre of Ironbridge. The museums are now in the care of the National Trust and most were open so we really enjoyed visiting them. The bus stops are 5 mins walk so we just used the buses to walk farther away. A perfect size for two.

Very centrally located and great to have dedicated parking very close by. Well equipped and comfortable. Nice to have option of two outdoor sitting areas (albeit weather wasn't quite good enough when we were there to use either).

Absolutely spotless accommodation.

Jude the owner was so kind leaving us a welcome pack too. Small but very modern. We were very impressed with the property. All the amenities on your doorstep too . Just a short walk from the property to the main street. Plenty shops, cafes . Ideal location.

This is without any doubt the nicest cottage I have stayed in.

Clean , Quiet, well equipped , complete with private car park. The Proprietor was extremely helpful. I would highly recommend recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to a peaceful holiday. This is my third visit

We had a really lovely time the accommodation was immaculate, well situated, close to all amenities, and the chap who looks after the accommodation left some lovely little touches, like wine, cookies, milk in the fridge & the flowers on the table.

From 3 days before our visit to the Office we were contacted by Jude asking if we had any request, we asked if we could park earlier then the 3pm check in time, Jude contacted us on the day of our arrival and we were allowed park and get into the cottage at 12pm which we really appreciated.

It was lovely to receive a bottle of wine, biscuits & flowers overall the property was very clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would like to thank Jude for all his help and making our stay realy enjoyable.

The Office is located in an ideal place in Ironbridge.

It’s close to so many of the historical sites and amenities. The private parking space is easily found with the directions given by the owner. Early access was granted, which was a big help. The walk up the fairly steep hill is around 100m from the parking space. The road surface is uneven and broken and care needs to be taken especially if elderly. The accommodation is well equipped, especially the kitchen. The toilet is located upstairs next to the bedroom and has a massive shower which is excellent. The bed was a particular disappointment with the mattress being very soft and I found getting a decent nights sleep difficult. The cleanliness of the accommodation was mixed. The bathroom and kitchen were clean and spotless, but the place was riddled with well established cobwebs particularly in the living area, kitchen, stairs and bedroom. I understand it is an old house and spiders are common, but the cobwebs were not recently developed. Overall the cottage is quiet and offers a private retreat. The surrounding area is truly beautiful and well worth visiting.

We would highly recommend 'The Office' which was really cosy and warm, with a well equipped kitchen.

The location was fantastic and we hardly used our car because you could access all the local museums by foot, and the town centre was very close by. There are some great walks straight from the accommodation. Also the flowers and wine was a lovely treat.

Fab, absolutely fabulous.

Felt at home straight away, enjoyed our weekend of relaxation. Bit of a puff up the hill, but its only minutes from the car. We'll equipped, lovely and warm, will try to come again in the summer.

The Office is a beautifully designed space and was just right as a base to explore the wonderful Ironbridge Gorge.

The flowers and wine made a lovely welcome. We left the car in the car park space all week as there are so many walks in all directions and so much incredible history to see. The best meal was at the Golden Ball Inn and the best ale was at the Coracle Micropub. Stunning scenery, and plenty of sunshine between the rain showers, definitely recommend for a holiday.

. on a lighter point, to help brushing up, perhaps a long handled brush and shovel for brushing tge floor especially for old fogies like us..

After a fraught few months we decided to take a break.

We came across The Office and it looked like the ideal place to spend the bank holiday weekend. We were not disappointed. The Office is immaculately presented and also has a real home from home feel to it. We arrived early evening on the Friday and immediately felt at home. There were fresh flowers, a welcome pack, which included a nice bottle of fizz, perfect way to start the weekend. The Office is situated just up the hill from the main road in Ironbridge and the car parking space is in the private car park next to the White Hart. The owners directions are perfect. There are plenty of places to eat and drink without walking distance and we recommend The Malthouse is you're looking for good pub food at reasonable prices. We were only staying for the weekend so ate out each evening but The Office has a well equipped kitchen if you decide to cook for yourself. We had a wonderful time during our stay and the batteries are well and truly recharged. A further stay at The Office is already on our 'to do list'. Thank you to Jude for your hospitality!

Beautiful cottage everything we needed for a relaxing weekend break!

Cottage extremely comfortable and very well equipped.

Beautifully designed and decorated cottage, in an ideal spot right near the actual bridge of iron bridge, but just tucked away enough to escape the hussle and bustle and relax in near silence, with just the old clock in the church just up the hill chiming on the hour in the distance, very nice to hear.

The cottage has modern fitted kitchen with all appliances, comfy lounge and comfy bed. Large modern rain head shower, heating if you need it. Private Car park space off main road, and a short steep walk from the car past the pub to the cottage, only about 20 yards. Had good communication with owner , making sure we were happy , and a nice bottle of fizz and biscuits , tea and milk and coffee all there for when we arrived. Lovely place and will probably stay again in the future

The Office is the perfect base for exploring Ironbridge, clean, stylish, comfortable, well equipped and peaceful.

It was thoughtful of Jude to check our dietary requirements for the welcome pack.The flowers, oat milk, wine and vegan biscuits were much appreciated after a long drive. Thank you Jude!

Very poor description of access to the property!

Extremely narrow and steep track. The road/track is poorly maintained; the listing of the property should be corrected to direct guest directly to the dedicated parking space and a description of the 70 meter, 1 in 3 to 1 in 2 access track to the property should be given. The largest sensible car that can be driven along the track is something no bigger than a VW "Up" the small city-car. he property itself is very nice.

The property is small but ideal for a couple and is as described in the overview.

Ideal location with a small walk to all amenities. Lovely flowers included in the welcome pack. Appreciated the text before our arrival to see what wine we would prefer in the welcome pack and whether we had any queries, very nice touch.

Beautiful property up a steep quiet lane.

The property had everything you could possibly need for a break in Ironbridge. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed and luxurious shower. Newly renovated. Had a fabulous break and will return.

This was the second stay in a beautiful cottage.

Perfectly situated, everything to hand. , spotlessly clean, and extremely modern. The location was perfect. Would have liked a more comfortable settee and a chair rather than what was there, not comfortable for an older person. Other wise perfect. I hope to come again. Holiday property very well kitted out, with a wonderful location.

Truly marvellous stay at The Office, much different from our normal ones.

House was super cosy and a home from home but without the grown up children we still have living at home. Ironbridge gave us lots of memories from walking up some very steep hills, shaking knees descending down very steep hills and loads of places to eat out and replace any calories we might have lost. We walked Benthall Hall/gardens on a super sunny day which was beautiful and also drove to the RAF air museum which my husband enjoyed immensely, warning it’s quite a big museum with 3 hangers to enjoy. We will definitely aim to visit again and thanks to Jude for the bottle of wine/chocolates and anniversary card.

Modern, clean, comfortable & easy access to all amenities. Vendor far more accommodating than ‘Sykes Cottages’.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Office, using the comfy outside furniture a lot on the patio, as we were lucky with the weather.

The Office was really comfortable and had everything we needed. It was easy to communicate with Jude, who was very kind and welcoming, leaving wine , biscuits etc to start us off. We would definitely stay here again.

Very enjoyable stay.

The Office was all as described, very clean and comfortable and had all the facilities required and close to all the amenities and museums. No real issues, the walk up the hill was a bit of a struggle, but then we knew that. There was a problem with hot water first thging but easily sorted. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay for a Christmas break at The Office.

The cottage was comfortable and very well equipped. Communication with the owner was very good before and during our stay. As we staying at Christmas we were offered the option of Christmas decorations which we appreciated. The cottage is very close to the centre of Ironbridge with pubs and restaurants a short walk away. The cottage was set back up a steep hill in a quiet position. The owner kept us informed and gave us plenty of notice when the Ironbridge flood defences went up and arranged alternative parking due to road closures. We really enjoyed our stay and are considering booking again.

Immaculate accommodation.

Warm, modern and everything you need. Close to the little shops and pubs in the quaint town. Perfect for a couple for a weekend break. Excellent communication prior to arrival. Highly recommended.

The cottage was superbly equipped and located. Our host was extremely helpful, contacting us before and during our stay to ensure everything ran smoothly.

Jude was a fantastic host, communication was brilliant (especially as it was during Storm Babet and the River Severn flooded) we were kept updated throughout our visit, thank you we will definitely return again.

The Post is a lovely place to stay.

It is very well decorated and furnished. The finishes inside and out are of very high and modern quality. There is everthing you need for a stay here. With just a very short walk to the main street of Ironbridge, the Post is in an excellent, very quiet spot for exploring the nearby countryside. Jude, the host couldn't have been more helpful. We thouughly enjoyed our week here and would highly recommend this lovely holiday cottage.

Stunning little property with a dedicated parking space around 100 yards away.

Comfy bed, fabulous walk in shower and two outside seating areas. Right in the town centre but felt a million miles away from it at the same time. Will definitely be back was perfect for my annual solo trip I do.

Well equipped and clean cottage.

Had a problem with water supply but this was sorted very quickly and efficiently. Parking space is very tight if you have a large car. Would stay here again.
