Great location and lovely cottage at a fair price, only downside is parking is difficult on very narrow and bumpy road
Beautiful cottage which was extremely well equipped.
Really loved the 'welcome to our home'. As a self-catering property, it was good to find lots of staples such as sugar, milk, tea, coffee, condiments, etc, provided. Great location, easy to get to pubs, shops, and Belper Football Club grounds! Stairs not as steep as some old cottages, and plenty of headroom throughout. Really nice bathroom in which it was cute to see the sheep motif hand towel - so suitable for us being from New Zealand! Only wish was for an outside clothes line as we didn't want to turn on the heating to use radiators given the outside temps!
We’ve stayed at 16 Long Row for week in late September and have been very impressed with the quality of the accommodation.
On our arrival we found the cottage to be exceptionally clean throughout and well equipped - for example with a good range of kitchen utensils needed for a self-catering holiday. The bedrooms are spacious and well presented, with very comfortable beds (including an antique brass bed with genuine spring base!) and quality bed linen and towels. The shower temperature can be accurately controlled (one of my pet hates is a shower with poor temperature control) and it produces a good ‘downpour’ of water. One evening was a bit chilly but we found the central heating worked well, so no issues there. Having a spacious garden with plenty of outside seating was a real bonus too. Our only suggestion for improvement would be to install some blinds across the kitchen windows and perhaps the back door which would help to improve the ambience for evening meals, although the back of the cottage is not overlooked at all. This quality accommodation is excellent in every way and very good value - we had a wonderful holiday with lots to see within easy reach. Thank you for making us so welcome.
