Morgan's Barn

We had a fantastic time at Morgans barn.

The location was beautiful. Hosts available if needed. The barn itself was comfortable and we had everything we needed. The night times were so quiet and we all have a wonderful time where we got so R&R. My grandchildren always looked forward to going into the hot tub after tea. overall this is a lovely place and wonderful relaxing holiday was had by all. Many thanks to the hosts.

Morgan’s barn is the perfect place for a relaxing break.

Our adult family loved the space, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen and hot tub and the dogs loved being next to the woods for great walks. We really enjoyed the walk into the friendly village with great dog friendly bars and tasty food and drinks.

Morgan’s Barn was a delightful, comfortable and beautiful barn conversion.

The 2 bathrooms were warm, modern and spotless and the beds very comfortable. The owner went out of her way to ensure we had a fantastic stay. The log burner was a bonus. We had a lovely pre-Xmas break meeting up with family and we appreciated the xmas tree and decorations that completed the experience.

The accommodation is perfect for a chilled walking weekend. Lots of walks in the area and lovely cafes nearby. Everything is spotlessly clean and tidy and very homely. The welcome pack was much appreciated. We have already booked for next year we love it that much.

Every detail was carefully considered. Katy was extremely helpful and welcoming. The hot tub was a real treat. This has to be the best property we have stayed in and I would not hesitate to recommend it. Hopefully, we will be able to return in the future.

We have recently returned from a wonderful 5 night stay in this beautiful barn.

Everything was perfect from start to finish. The owners had thought of everything and the complementary shortbread and Prosecco was and added bonus as was the lovely hottub. The property is set in a lovely location, just a short walk to the local villages. Thank you for making our stay so special and I'm sure we will return again soon.

Exceptional experience.

..surroundings, accomodation, the wonderful Katy and comfort. We really could have stayed much much longer. Superb accomodation but Katy was just so welcoming and kind. Plenty of super places to visit. Cannon Hall Country Park took.our breath away....free too. Hawarth, Holmfirth satisfied the 'soap' yen. The countryside is stunning. Thank you Katy....perfect break.

Beautiful location, wonderful hosts and amazing property. Six best friends enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, playing games by the fire, walking through beautiful woods into Honley from the house and a trip for a gorgeous meal in Holmfirth. We have all recommended this gorgeous place to our friends, and hope to return one day soon. Thank you for having us!

This is the third year we have stayed at Morgan's Barn and it did not disappoint again.

The barn is stunning, the location is excellent and it provides a very comfortable stay for a group of friends. The hot tub is fabulous and well-maintained too. We will be back for year 4!

We had an amazing time at Morgan’s barn. Everything was perfect. It has everything you need and their hospitality was fantastic. Honley was a beautiful village, good food at pubs with friendly staff. I would highly recommend this property.

What an amazing property this is!

We were wowed from the get go when we were showed around and that didn’t stop the whole stay. It was clean, had everything you needed in the whole property, was warm and the little extras just made this property and stay 5*! So much care and thought has been put into it. Katy and Stuart couldn’t have been more accommodating! Very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Milk, Prosecco , Snacks and Homemade Shortbread waiting for us. In a lovely quiet location with woods either side to walk in with the dogs couldn’t have been more perfect! 20 mins stroll into the village of Honley which is lovely. A very nicely presented property in a great, peaceful location.

Easy access to local walks for the village, amenities & countryside right from the doorstep and only a short drive to the routes to explore further. A very friendly welcome and owners available if needed. The hot tub adds that bit of extra luxury relaxation. A great base for enjoying some of the areas cycling terrain.

My 2 cousins and I spent 3 nights at this beautiful accomodation.

It was clean, comfortable with bright, open space. The barn feels secluded even though the owners were in the property next door. It was quiet with stunning views over the fields yet only a short drive into the lovely vllage of Honley. Katy, the owner, was there to greet us and had left us all the essentials as well as being kind enough to leave us some delicious home baking! There are a number of lovely spots to eat in Honley and we chose Savaro, The Lebanese Restuarant which gets 5* from us! All in I woud highly recommend Morgans Barn for a get away from it all. 5 Stars plus!

Absolutely fantastic holiday break!

The location was breathtaking, offering stunning views in every direction. The owners were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They live on site but are respectful of your privacy. They also left a welcome gift of prosecco and home made shortbread. The cleanliness of the accommodation was impeccable, and the interior design was simply beautiful, adding to the overall charm of our stay. With plenty of room to relax and unwind, we found it to be the perfect retreat. Additionally, being close to the village and shops made it convenient for any necessities. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. Oh, and did I mention the hot tub? It was not only clean but also incredibly relaxing, adding an extra layer of luxury to our stay. Can't wait to visit again!"

Lovely accommodation that suited the needs of 3 couples perfectly.

Nice open plan social layout upstairs and all 3 bedrooms good and equitable sizes. The hot-tub was fantastic and the whole area is quiet and relaxing. Short walk into Honely with a lovely meal at Punch Tapas. Lovely welcoming host, shortbread was fantastic!! Thank you for a wonderful weekend break.

Totally wonderful place to stay for a few days with our adult daughters - so much laughter.

The large open plan upstairs kitchen/sitting room made it so very social - - amazing views and a warming log fire just added to the delight. Great to have three bedrooms that could all be made up as very comfortable doubles - and lovely warm bathrooms. Katy made us all very welcome - her shortbread is legendary.

Katy looked after us so well both before and during our stay with gifts of homemade shortbread and fizz in this lovely barn.

The accommodation was just perfect for us with the enjoyment of a hot tub too. The surrounding countryside is lovely with lots to do nearby although we enjoyed just chilling and watching the rain by the log burner.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful area.

Comfy beds and well appointed although the hob was very difficult to use and a bigger decent frying pan would have been useful particularly for 5 of us, there was only one small frying pan. The upside down accommodation was good although the only exit to the yard for the dogs was through the bedroom. We had a lovely relaxing weekend with some lovely walks from the cottage. The owner left the most delicious home made shortbread and a bottle of fizz which was much appreciated. We stayed Friday to Monday and intended to use the hot tub on Monday morning before breakfast but it had already been emptied and was being cleaned by 8am, we were a bit disappointed by this as check out was 10am and the next guests wouldn’t be checking in until 5pm so plenty of time to do this after we left. We did feel a bit rushed to leave because of this.

When we arrived the owners were there to welcome us and throughout the weekend they were there to help.

The barn is an amazing renovation that has lovely features of old and new. The underfloor heating in the bedrooms is lovely and the bathrooms are gorgeous. The spot is so close to Honley but far enough away for a quiet night. Also so close to the woods for walks with the dogs

Beautiful accommodation, clean and welcoming. Hosts very friendly and nothing too much trouble, homemade shortbread and bubbles on arrival a treat. Great location for getting around and our pooch Rocky had the best time on the lovely walks nearby. Would 100% reccomend .

A lovely relaxing stay at Morgan’s Barn.

The property is very spacious and finished to a high standard. The outside space was private and peaceful, with the hot tub a very welcome addition. The owners were easy to communicate with and welcomed us on arrival (and left us some Cava and delicious short bread). No complaints about anything! I just wish we could have stayed longer!

This is a beautiful property and the photos just don’t do it justice.

We were greeted by the owner who took the time to show us round and explain how things worked. There was tea/coffee on a tray with delicious homemade shortbread to go with it. We found milk in the fridge along with Prosecco chilling down. Such lovely touches. The property is furnished to the highest of standards, the fixtures and fittings just speak quality. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or return.

A little piece of heaven!

We spent a wonderful short break over half term with 3 boisterous boys and we loved the space, close proximity to the woods where the boys loved climbing trees and were delighted to find a rope swing! The owners were super friendly and introduced us to Morgan who's barn had been converted into the most luxurious bedrooms. Morgan seemed most comfortable in his new stable accommodation

We had a wonderful weekend stay in Morgan’s Barn.

It is very comfortably furnished and has all facilities that you could want. The hosts were very friendly and on hand if there are any problems, which we had none. The wood burning stove is a lovely feature and the hot tub is fabulous. We would be more than happy to make a return visit.

Morgans Barn is exactly as the listing.

It really is a lovely place to stay. Very rural and quiet but within easy reach of shops and pubs etc. It is a lovely warm barn with excellent underfloor heating, so if you are going in winter, fear not. We actually had to keep turning the heating down. Well furnished with plenty of crockery and glassware, you can prepare anything from a snack to a full on dinner. Katy and her family are so friendly and very responsive on Whatsapp to anything you require. We enjoyed it so much we are going back next year!!!

Second stay at Morgans Barn for us five Golden Girls and what can I say other than 'home from home' but ten times better!

We had such a lovely time from the pre arrival information, the warm welcome, shortbread, Cava and not a single ‘please do not’ instruction from Katy when she showed us round.

Such a positive, relaxing experience in a barn which has everything you could need in all the right places. Cannot recommend Morgan’s Barn highly enough. Katy has got it just right in every way. Thank you from us all.

The property is stunning and certainly as the WOW factor with everything you need for a great stay. Hot tub was great addition and used daily. Honley is a lovely village with great pubs and cafes and also some great walks in the woods. All in all a great stay

We were a group of 5 girls staying at the property, and we couldn’t fault anything!

It was lovely. The cottage is done up to a very high standard, under floor heating, sensor lights on the mirrors, the beds are comfy and can be either kind beds or split into singles which was perfect for us! The owners live on site and are more than happy to help with any queries; but also leave you to it if that’s what you prefer. They also offered us a late check out which was very kind of them! We would definitely like to return again. It is set in such a peaceful idyllic setting also and the village of honley which is a short 10 minute walk is great if wanting to venture out for some food or drinks. We ate at punch tapas restaurant which is also would highly recommend!

This is a lovely, modern property which was very clean.

The owners were most welcoming and helpful throughout our 2 night stay. We enjoyed the hot tub and local woodland walks. They accommodation was beautiful and very comfortable and as a family with two dogs it was lovely to have a space we could all be together. Amazing walks all around and Honley is a lovely place, really didn’t need to venture much further.

Morgan's Barn is simply beautiful!

It is such a high quality and spacious property. There were 3 of us friends staying and we each had a king-size bed. The property being upside down is genius as the views are incredible! The hot tub was lovely and clean too. The property is in a perfect location. It was quiet and beautiful but only a 20 minute walk into the town to the pubs and restaurants. A fab place with really friendly hosts!

We were greeted warmly by Katie and Olivia. The shortbread and fizz were very welcome. Everything was so clean and comfortable and you had thought almost everything.The hot tub was clean and well maintained and we also made good use of the woodburner on our wet week. We would definitely return. Morgan's barn is close to some beautiful scenery and we enjoyed a few walks ( sadly the weather was against us) It would have been even better if there was a chest of drawers in the bedroom. It was difficult to find places to put some of our clothes. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Katy and her family have created an amazing little gem at Morgans Barn.

Their hospitality was second to none and the generous touches of providing milk, cava and homemade shortbread on our arrival, really made us feel welcome. The Christmas tree was a lovely touch. We had a fabulous stay and the upside down planning of the property made the very best of the surrounding countryside. The open plan living room meant that we could all be together and enjoy each other’s company whilst there being more than enough room to move around. The kitchen is very well equipped even down to plastic glasses for using outside. The barn is very well placed for exploring the surrounding beautiful area by using the walking maps provided and the livery stables means that there is always someone around to have a chat too. The hot tub and log burner were the icing on the cake.All in all the owners should be very proud of what they have achieved and what they offer. We will most definitely look to return, in fact several friends have already requested the details

Fantastic holiday cottage and hosts.

Absolutely loved our stay, owners were very friendly and helpful and the accommodation was beautiful.

Considering Storm Arwen's arrival, the heated floors were a godsend. We didn't get to use the hot tub as much as we would have liked (maybe a cover on the hot tub would help) but most people will not be as unlucky as we were with the weather! We would all happily stay again and would like to say thanks for a brilliant getaway.

Beautifully restored cottage with excellent facilities in a scenic and peaceful location.

Katy the host was very warm, friendly and helpful with homemade shortbread and bubbly in the fridge ready for our arrival. As she lives at the location it took away all stress of locating keys and made departure easy.

This barn conversion was in immaculate condition thoroughly clean from top to bottom the hosts stuart and Kate were really friendly and helpful great surroundings hot tub was excellent would definitely recommend we will be returning in the future.

Such a beautiful property and location. Immaculately clean. High end spec. Bedding lovely. Lots of towels. The owner contacted us before our visit. Very friendly and helpful. The visit was for my 50th birthday extended celebrations. It was perfect! Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful property in a lovely location for walking.

Lovely welcome pack on arrival including a bottle of fizz in the fridge which was a lovely touch but the quality of it was really poor so we decided to pour it down the drain and drink our own Procecco. Great that there was an electric charging point for my car and the hot tub was a real bonus - loved it!

A get together with friends. The barn is lovely and the hot tub was very relaxing. In a year that has been nowhere near normal and very stressful with covid19, it was lovely to have a weekend of calm paradise. Would definitely visit here again

!! loved how rural it was, and great walks just on the door step. Hosts were always there if and when needed, but kept to themselves other than this. Would 100% come back, and have recommended to everyone I know. Absolutely amazing!!

We go away quite frequently as a group, and this has been by far the best place we have stayed to date. We never usually return to the same place, but we will definitely be back here. Almost wish we'd not already booked new year 2020. Amazingly clean cottage, good quality furnishings, pet friendly however zero odour, close walk to amenities however far enough away to feel nicely isolated....and the attention to detail is second to none - handmade shortbread, fresh milk, logs provided for log burner I could go on. Perfect for our girls weekend away. Equipped with everything you would need, perfect location and the owners around in case you need anything. The cava, bread & butter and homemade shortbread was a great touch. Already looking to book again next year.

The place is so clean and has everything you need for the perfect relaxing weekend away. The facilities are great and the beds are very comfy! The hosts were lovely and there was a lovely welcome package when we arrived. Couldn’t recommend it enough!! Would love to return again.

We've just returned after our stay at Morgans Barn and what a fab weekend we've had!

The barn is in a perfect location - we enjoyed walking around the local woodland and was handy to a shop and local cafes. The barn itself is finished to a high standard with great facilities and a very cosy feel! We enjoyed our evenings in the hot tub despite it being November and loved getting back inside and sitting around the log burner! The little touches of homemade shortbread, bread and milk on arrival were very thoughtful. Great facilities, friendly hosts and an amazing cottage - we'll definitely be back!

A fantastic place to stay with great views and access to places to walk right on your doorstep.

The layout and spec of the accommodation was to a very high standard and with controllable heating in every room you really could please everyone. The hot tub was a great addition and the bottle of cava included in the welcome pack was appreciated. Instructions for all the facilities was well set out and was easy to follow. There were laminated walks to give you a few ideas of where to visit and there’s a surprising choice of places to eat and drink from a Lebanese restaurant which we celebrated my wife’s birthday to a recently refurbished farm shop/cafe for afternoon tea to a great Sunday meal at Jacob’s Well pub. There are Indian restaurants. Italian. Takeaway Pizza. There’s more available with enough choice for everyone. We also visited the local brewery and a lovely place for lunch called the cider press after a great walk. Katy and Stuart were great with ideas for walks and places to visit and we enjoyed the places they recommended for us. We would definitely return as found new places we would like to visit on our walks. They were always willing to assist but they weren’t intrusive and we found them perfect hosts and the shortbread they left for us on arrival was lovely All in all a great place to stay and value for money

Very well equipped property, Kate met us on arrival and went the extra mile for my little girls birthday.

The added extras on arrival were a lovely touch (bread, milk, shortbread) it really is the little things that make a break like this extra special. Everything was exceptionally clean and the hot tub was lovely. Information was available for local walks, restaurants etc The location was perfect for what we wanted, I really cannot recommend this property enough and I would love to return in the future.

Amazing space for a holiday, the upstairs is stunning (pictures don’t do it justice) with lovely views and walks nearby.

Cottage is very well equipped, amazing bath and the hot tub is very welcoming after a day out. Homemade shortbread and bottle of bubbles on arrival is a lovely touch, and Katy the owner on site is great for local info and recommendations. Equally good for active people wanting to enjoy the peaks or dales, or those wanting to just relax in a warm cozy environment. Looking for a date to go back.

The property was exactly as described; beautiful location and gorgeous house.

It had all the facilities you'd need and the extras left by the host were a nice touch. Short walk in to the town where there are shops and nice pubs. Katy (the host) was really helpful and answered messages quickly. Would definitely stay again

After a two hour delay due to traffic, Katy and Stuart made us feel totally at home .

The cottage is beautifully decorated with all mod cons and a Hot Tub out side. The cottage has many walks mapped out leading from the gate. In under a mile down the road is Honley with a lot to offer restaurants, pubs , cafes and many shops. We enjoyed our stay so much we have already booked for next year.

Fantastic top class accommodation.

Katy & family couldn't have been more helpful to make sure we had everything we needed with homemade shortbread, bubbly, milk, bread and butter waiting for us when we arrived. Lovely scenic walks, then back to relax our weary legs in the hot tub. Even our teenagers put down their mobile phones to play board games and cards in the evening. Everyone in Honley were very friendly and Dougal our dog was made a fuss of wherever we went. Had a lovely time. Just a shame the time flew by so quickly and we had to return home.

The holiday cottage was perfect with everything we needed.

We had a bad week of weather but we still had the best time using the hot tub and log burner. The owners were so helpful with tips on the local area and checked if we needed anything during our stay. Really lovely walks from the cottage .

Loved the flowers in the hall a great welcome ,and the bottle of fizz after the road trip. Would like a sign on the road with the cottage names on as we were not sure at first if we had the right place and that is being very picky. Lovely little village with some great eating place ,co op fish and chip shop and a fabulous interior shop well worth a visit. All walking distance from the cottage loved this place Honley thank you x

The owners where extremely helpful and informative about the surrounding area. We are loking to return if not in Morgans Barn in the smaller 2 birth accommodation.

From the welcome on arrival and friendly departure our experience was wonderful.

Morgan’s Barn has everything you need for a short or long stay. Situated in a stunning location with walks on your doorstep, this is a good find. Only there for 4 nights but hope to return for longer. Thank you Katy and Stuart for creating such a wonderful holiday cottage and ensuring we had such a good time.

Morgan’s barn was so beautiful, it’s so comfortable, in a perfect location picturesque and quiet and really, really clean I’m allergic to animal hair and often have reactions staying in properties where dogs have been, this barn was spotless.

The owners are warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The little extras provided for you on arrival mean a lot and are very much appreciated. The homemade shortbread is just fabulous! The barn itself is exactly as you see it in the photographs (in our experience, this doesn't always happen). It is very light, bright and comfortable and is kept immaculately clean. The owners are on hand next door should you need anything and we would recommend staying there without hesitation. Nothing else to say except, we hope to have the opportunity to stay there again in the not too distant future.

Lovely accommodation. Hosts very friendly and left us little treats for the whole family including the dog when we arrived. They are also on hand should you need assistance. The area is beautiful with opportunities for lovely walks and some nice restaurants and a pub a short walk away. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

A wonderful week spent here in February 2019.

The owner has considered every last detail and is a great host. There are fantastic walks right from your doorstep, Honley Old Wood being a particular favourite. For the kids, Huddersfield Leisure Centre is less than 5 miles away and has a pool with excellent slides, a 12.5m climbing wall and a massive inflatable indoor park. At the end of a busy day we wood relax in the hot tub under starlit skies or walk through the woods to the village (with the torches provided) to one of the great restaurants, Tapas, Italian, Indian... This is up there with one of the best properties we have ever stayed in!

This barn conversion has been done in the most beautiful taste.

We had a family Christmas here that surpassed all our expectations. After a difficult year to end up here for a few days was utterly magical. The hosts left us such a lovely welcome gift of shortbread and fresh bread with a table laid and warm rooms. They were discreet and we felt like we were in our own home able to relax fully. There was even a Christmas tree! Thank you so much!

A lovely weekend away in this beautiful cottage.

Tucked away in the hills but within easy reach of Holmfirth which has lots of shops and cafes. The communication from the owners was great. The house itself is beautiful throughout - obviously been renovated with much care and love. Well equipped and comfortable.

Morgan's Barn, is a brilliant place to stay, done up to a very high standard, Katy and Stuart were very welcoming, with home made shortbread and Cava, nice villages and walks, there was six of us and 2 dogs, plenty of room for all of us.

...oh and hot tub!!! What is also good to know that they have accommodation just for 2 also in The Stables, which is good to know.

Everything to the highest standard. Five star plus. Quiet location within walking distance of Honley village . Beautiful area for walks weather permitting! Hosts were extremely helpful during our stay. Wish we could have stayed longer than a week.

Lovely property, recently completely refurbished to high standard.

Located in countryside but only a short drive from Honley Village centre. Very pleasant and helpful owners live next door. Unfortuately didn’t have time to use the hot tub but it did look inviting. Overall a very pleasant 3 day stay and highly recommended

Just got back from a weekend away at Morgan’s Barn.

There were 6 of us (3 couples). The barn is absolutely stunning. Everything is to a very high standard. The kitchen is fully equipped, Bath and hand towels were provided and we even had fresh flowers in the hallway and bathroom. We also met the owners of the barn who were lovely and made sure we had everything we could possibly need for our stay. We had an amazing time and we will definatley be booking to stay here again. I would recommend this barn to my friends and family.

Such a stunning cottage, everything was perfect and what a lovely welcome gift that was left for us, thought was even put in for the children with their chocolate buttons which they loved. Great selection of games which we made use of. We cannot fault this little gem of a place.
