We had such a relaxing cosy comfy stay.

The location was perfect for us to visit all areas of Staffordshire. This is the second time for me to stay at this property and will definitely book Avon for our future visits.

Holly's Barn was beautiful!

Instruction very easy to follow for arrival and sent in plenty of time before the day of our travel. When we arrive Rachael was there to greet us, show us useful things in the cottage and a few instructions, heating etc. underfloor heating was lovely!! There were cupcakes on the table waiting for us as well as bottle of wine and milk in the fridge. The cottage was immaculate, perfect for a couple and a dog! We took throws for the dog but Rachael had also supplied two incase we needed them. The garden and views are beautiful, peaceful and some great walks! Good information in the book provided of the surrounding areas. All three of us enjoyed our 4 nights at Holly's Barn and would love to come back and try the bigger cottage with some family! Thankyou again to Rachael! X

We had a perfect stay at Hollys Barn.

Rachael was the perfect host and was on hand if we needed her, not that we did as we had everything we needed.

Quiet location and easily accessible from many nearby places of interest. Friendly and welcoming owner.

The property owner took time to meet us shortly after our arrival and along with complimentary “cup cakes and chilled Prosecco” we felt that we were made to feel very welcome from the start.

We found the accommodation to be tastefully furnished with all practicalities thoughtfully catered for. Highly recommended.

Lovely holiday cottage, not far from amenities but far enough away to enjoy the countryside.

The bed is so comfortable. Rachael was very welcoming (had cup cakes and a bottle of procesco in the fridge). All the the information provided was detailed and helpful. Definitely recommend

We did honestly have a lovely stay, place is cosy and a good location for a wander round somewhere new, but we did feel slightly disappointed that some parts were different to the original listing/online photos, mainly the outside space as it was just two plastic chairs covered in dirt and cobwebs that when you sat on, sunk into the grass.

It just made it impossible to relax outside in the gorgeous weather we had, which was one of the selling points for us on the listing and seeing others comment to say so over the years. The bathroom looks stunning, but the shower was so impractical and with no bubblebath provided it was hard to just have to keep managing with showering awkwardly. One thing that we also really struggled with was keeping our dog downstairs AND of the couch at the same time, we should be notified of this instruction prior to booking, not the week before we're supposed to go, to me this isn't truly dog friendly. I100% agree to off the furniture rules but seems excessive to also not allow them upstairs. Its well noted that the kitchen space is small so you cant complain however it is actually really tricky to cook, wash up and clean etc, especially as the most of the counter surface is the oven, which we were also told to be careful leaving stuff on it as it could turn on.

Made to feel very welcome! Beautiful location to explore the local area with great pubs nearby (dog friendly). Cottage was well equipped with a luxurious bath, comfy bed and everything you need. Thoroughly recommend!

We had a very comfortable stay at Holly's cottage.

Thank you for your lovely welcome and the delicious cakes and wine., The tea, coffee, milk and sugar available were greatly appreciated too after a long journey. The bed and bedding were sooo comfortable and the pillows...just as I like them being good quality and plump. It was lovely opening the patio doors with the sun streaming in and the birds singing in the trees. Beautiful peaceful surroundings. Loved the pony's in the nearby field. Great parking space. We will definitely be coming back. We absolutely loved our stay.

Had a lovely short break with beautiful weather in April.

Cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable with plenty of hot water and facilities. The small rear garden was ideal for our little dog. Quiet location with lovely country lane walks with a dog. Visited Downs Bank and Trentham Gardens, great days out. Beautiful scenery all round. Highly recommend Holly's Barn and hope to return. Thank you.

Absolutely beautiful place.

I would definitely love to return. The place was so welcoming and clean and was exactly how it was described on the website. The owners were lovely too; very helpful and down to earth. I felt at home and really enjoyed the stay. After my boyfriend and I are always so busy, it was nice to get away to have a break and relax. It was such a relaxing place

This is a gorgeous cosy little cottage!

The owners are so welcoming with Prosecco and cupcakes on the table to greet you and Rachel the owner came out to say hello. It is beautifully furnished, the bed is so comfortable and a lovely bath to soak away any stress. It is just right for two people and a hound. It’s very quiet and has a small enclosed patch garden to let the dog out. Rachel is so helpful if you have issues or questions and gave us good tips on the local area. We had a lovely two night break away, thank you Rachel for a lovely stay!

A lovely stay at Holly’s barn.

Lovely area, nice and quiet surroundings. Perfect break away from day to day life. Can’t fault the owners, they were brilliant. So warm and welcoming and helped me when I had an issue, quickly solving it and insuring we had everything we needed. Would definitely return and recommend.

The hosts are the best and really take care of you if you need anything. We’ve been back a number of times and everytime has been a perfect stay!

Holly cottage was perfect.

Beautifully decorated, very comfortable bed and gorgeous bath tub especially with bubbles after a 10 mile walk around the Peak District. Host was lovely and very helpful and sorted out small issue with wifi and light bulb very quickly. The kitchen area is small but perfectly adequate for our needs with everything we needed. I would totally recommend Holly barn

We had a delightful stay with our old dog Wilson.

The cottage was very tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Racheal was a very pleasant host and the goodies on arrival were very appreciated. A perfect place for two people to have a relaxing break.

Great location. Nice and quiet. I had a very relaxing break. I was greeted by Rachel on arrival and she was lovely. There were cupcakes and Prosecco on arrival which was a nice touch. Would definitely stay here again. My dog also loved her break.

Really nice I could leave doors open on the back so our dog could lay outside. The bottle of perseco and fresh cupcakes was a really nice gesture!! Would highly recommend if you want rural and peace and quiet!!

Lovely cottage in a quiet area, just what we needed whilst visiting family.

The barn is tastefully furnished, with a comfortable bed. Missed not having a shower, but was nice having a relaxing bath.

Beautiful location, good area for the dog, helpful and friendly owner, very nice bathroom and bedroom.

Our only issues were the size of the kitchen (no draining board for washing up, microwave oven in the cupboard under the stairs, only two hobs) and the comfort of the sofa.

A lovely little cottage.

Very peaceful. Although out of the way it was ideal for touring the area. As there is no local shop I would recommend visitors to take provisions with them ie bread butter jam breakfast items. Tea bags and milk were provided as well as a bottle of Prosecco and cupcakes. A nice touch.

Great little cottage in a good location for exploring Staffordshire.

Very warm and cosy and in the main well equipped ...we only missed a toaster, rather than using the oven grill. Great walks and pubs nearby, easy to get to surrounding towns and cities. Our favourites were Stone and Lichfield. Fab bathroom, loads of hot water and a very pleasant welcome surprise of iced prosecco and cupcakes ....yummy. Really quiet at night and when clear, the night sky was brilliant. Highly recommended, thanks very much Rachel and Paul.

Rachael and Paul were very helpful and friendly; they made us and our dog feel very welcome without being intrusive. We thoroughly recommend this property if you’re looking for rest, relaxation and enjoy country walks & cycling or using it as a base to explore the wider surroundings.

We stayed at Hollys barn for a few days.

It was presented fantastically, and we were welcomed with some delicious plums and Prosecco. There are some great walking trails around the area. Would recommend.

Lovely accommodation that was decorated in a cosy way.

The owners were easily contactable for assistance and to recommend places to visit. They also left a lovely welcome of cakes and Prosecco. This is a great place to stay if looking for a quiet getaway.

A lovely, clean, well equipped cottage with treats for us and for our dog on arrival.

Our hosts were helpful with recommendations of where to go, good food, and dog walks. They were lovely with our dog (even when he made a break for their kitchen!) The cottage was spotless, it was well decorated, comfortable, and the bed was lovely. The hosts couldn't have done enough to make our stay a lovely one. All I would say (which was not their fault) is our sausage dog managed to jump through the fence slats of the back garden, we popped some washing line across the slat he got through and no problem from there, but just a heads up if you have an adventurous pup or a sausage dog like we do! I would fully recommend this stay, it was just what we needed.

Rachael and Paul were very friendly and helpful, all of our needs were catered for, very good attention to the details and we felt at home right away.

We would definitely recommend staying here - we had a lovely time at the cottage - it was cute and cozy and like a home from home.

The bed was a little firm for me - perhaps a topper might be an option? And the only thing I found that we’d like was an ice cube tray so we could add ice to our drinks. Everything else that we needed was there. Rachael and Paul were lovely and very welcoming and even kept an ear out for our pup when we popped out for dinner one evening which was very reassuring. The welcome fizz and cakes was a lovely touch. We were also offered some rhubarb out of the garden to take home so we’ll be rustling up a crumble with that! Thank you for a lovely stay!

The cottage was perfect, very clean and comfortable; an easy walk to the local pub and a great location for exploring.

The area was great for walking and the dogs loved it. If you like to eat out the Spotgate Inn (walking distance) serves great food with great service and accepts dogs.
