The accommodation was very nice, as was the hot tub.

It was a little disappointing to be situated right next to a farm shed, but thats aesthetics. The sofa bed used as a sofa was low and not easy for everyone to comfortably stand up from. Had to raise with cushions. Did not use as a bed. The wet room was very slippery when wet even with the small mat and the squeegee mop provided. The beds were comfy, and the kitchen had all necessary utensils and everywhere was beautifully clean. We did not use the log burner but I’m sure it would be lovely. Nice outlook from seating area and enclosed for the dog. Hosts were friendly.

This is a lovely property, very original, it's private & quiet & comfortable, bright during the day & no light pollution during the night.

It's clean & spacious, we had 5 staying plus the dog. Front garden is big enough to let the dog run out on & have a kick around with the kids. The owners leave you be but are close at hand for any queries etc. Be aware there are no shops close by, supermarket is 15/20 min away, nearest town is 20 min away so nowhere to walk to for a coffee & a wander to local shops. Some great places approx 20 mins drive away; Dimmingsdale, Trentham Gardens, Millennium Point & Peak District 30/40 min away. We enjoyed our stay here, kids loved the hot tub which was well maintained, thank you!

Had a wonderful stay at Saddlers during May half term.

Property was clean and well maintained with good facilities. The hot tub was a big hit with us and it was nice knowing that it was attended to by the owners daily. The weather was hot and sunny so we made good use of the sun loungers and big sun umbrella provided. Enclosed garden was great for the dog and was private and not overlooked. Location wise, there's lots to do in the area, some great places to eat but you need a car.

Great instructions on how to find the accommodation beforehand. Rachel showed us around explaining how things worked. A yummy plate of cakes for us to enjoy was a lovely treat. A beautiful, peaceful location perfect when sitting in the hot tub. The accommodation was warm and cosy, beautifully decorated abd furnished. Great location to explore the local area. Slept like babies in the peace and quiet. Definitely recommend.

Owners greeted us with a tour and welcome they were very pleasant and friendly.

We spent 4days in this beautiful accommodation for my birthday, so peaceful and private.

Enclosed Garden, so perfect for our dog to roam around freely, whilst we relaxed in the hot tub. Inside, it's as beautiful as photo's shown, log burner is wow! Prosecco and cupcakes on arrival, beautiful touch. The owner Rachael was very polite and welcoming on our arrival she showed us around the place and how things worked etc.. Rachael is a phone call away if needing anything. Whilst staying here, we explored the beautiful Peak District and found lovely woodland walks which our dog loved and definitely tired him out ha! Lovely accommodation which is set in a peaceful setting.

The hosts are friendly and welcoming and they are easily contactable if you have any questions. This is the second time that we have been to this cottage and we would fully recommend it to anyone who is in need of a place to unwind and relax.

What a fantastic weekend we all had at saddlers everything we needed was there very clean property and Rachel was a brilliant young lady who greated us on arrival showing us how everything worked she was only a phone call away and the local village pub shoulders was brilliant also definitely would go back again

Rachael was very friendly and met us on arrival and departure.

Nothing seemed too much bother and she was very helpful. Saddlers was exceptionaly warm and well appointed, we only used the log burner once, just for effect and to try it out. Hot tub was great and relaxing after a long day. Property is very central for visiting attractions and if needed Tesco Woosh service is fast and easy to use. Thankyou for the complimentary cupcakes and Prosecco.

I would highly recommend saddlers.

If you are looking for a quiet getaway this is the perfect place. I stayed here with my two sisters and brother-in-law for 6 nights. Rachael the owner was very hospitable and nothing was to much trouble. On arrival there was a bottle of prosecco in the fridge and a cake cloche of cupcakes, which was a lovely touch. Our only issue was the shower, which was temperamental temperature wise and we felt it could use a screen around it so the water was contained rather than having to squeegee the floor after use.

We couldn’t have asked for for better hosts, greeted us, informed us of all essentials then left us alone, but if we needed them for anything we had a number to call.

Stayed for three nights with our dog.

Saddlers is set in a peaceful rural location next to the owners house but private. There is a secure front garden so we could let our dog out or leave the door open without worrying about him escaping. The owner Rachel came to greet us on our arrival and was available if we had any issues. There was a welcome pack including some dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and cloth. Saddlers has all the amenities you could need. The bed was very comfortable and there is a choice of pillows. There are smart TVs so you can stream your favourite shows and we had no issues with the WiFi. It was a very peaceful location and the directions to get there were easy to follow. There is a pub nearby and it’s not far to Stone which has shops, pubs restaurants and a canal.

We had such an amazing time at Saddlers!

The house was beautiful, as was the hot tub! The owners Paul and Rachael made us feel very welcome. We will definitely back soon.

Family of 4 adults and a dog.

The parents and Bonnie the collie loved the cottage, decorated with taste and amenities well thought through. Paul and Rachael are extremely friendly and very approachable if anything bothers you,just ask. Lovely walks and nice dog friendly pubs. The Oak house nearby is a must! Dogs allowed outside. Not far from the Peak District . Bonnie got to meet her first sheep, on the lead of course, and she behaved beautifully to our surprise! The young adults went to Water world, Alton towers, game grid in Stone and Ashbourne quadbiking...They had a fab time too. All of us appreciated the hot tub , which sold the cottage to us frankly. Superb temperature and different jets just wonderful, ( not in the sun after 4pm in July) The nights are very quiet and cosy. We are very happy to recommend this lovely cottage and it was a pleasure to meet Paul ,Rachael and and gorgeous Ted

You need handels in the shawer and a toilet seat that is the same size as the toilet and not fever pillowe they are not nice to sleep on

Was a lovely place to stay, perfect for a family, lovely enclosed space for the dog in a completely quiet secluded area.

Would be perfect if you had nice outdoor seating as the place isn’t that big inside and would be nice in the sunnier days to relax outdoors too ( just a suggestion to make it even better ). Hosts were nice and friendly and the location is perfect to explore lots of different things in the area. We especially liked Cannock chase for Go Ape, downs bank for a walk and picnic, stone for a walk down the canal and pub lunch and further afield we visited Cheadle, Ashbourne and Alton.

This is a very nice property but is smaller than it appears in the pictures.

Tbh, it appears that the owners have decided on 2 bedrooms when 1 would commonly be found in other cottages. It was ok with a wheelchair user but the lack of space did make it challenging around the bedroom and bathroom. The doors are not wider than normal. The property is right next to the owner’s house, which is fine , but for the daily interactions with the owners. They seemed to enjoy talking with renters! Probably a bit overzealous on check out as they turned up at 10.02 am to ‘say goodbye’!

Location is just lovely with plenty to do in the local area. Stunning dog walks and dog friendly pubs in walking distance. Rachael and Paul excellent hosts and Ted is a beautiful friendly dog. Highly recommend, can’t wait to go back.

The property is fabulous, very spacious, warm and has everything you need to make your stay memorable. Rachael and Paul made us feel very welcome, the prosecco and cupcakes were a lovely touch. We would highly recommend Saddlers and will certainly return ourselves if we come back to the area.

Saddlers was a perfect weekend getaway for my partners birthday.

The property is clean, well maintained and has all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. The hot tub was a nice touch and a great way to unwind. Our host Rachael was very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay and recommended a number of great activities with the family locally like Trentham Gardens. The towns of Uttoxeter and Stone are only a short drive away for nice restaurants & bars. We would highly recommend Saddlers and would definitely stay again in future!

We have had a pleasent stay loved the view and being in the farm with that view we was lucky as the area felt like london not much to do apart from monkey forest we have enjoyed.

On the discription of booking said fulford which is right but next to it said peak district derbyshire dales which wasnt we had to do 35 miles to get there it was more near to stoke-on-trent but the lodge i have nothing to say about it was verry clean hot tub was great everything we needed was there we have enjoyed each day there thankyou to owner rachel verry helpfull its a great lodge for those who want to have a peacefull time and dont go out much to visit tourist places for us if we dont count the area we have enjoyed the peacefull lodge and the beautifull farm will defo go back sometime just to rest and be away from lot of things thankyou again

Comfy bed and lovely aspect. Hot tub is a must. Rachael is on hand and a great host. Loved the fizz and mince pies on arrival. Well placed for Trentham, Shugborough and the Peak District. Will return at some point.

It was a great find and the perfect retreat for us. Rachael and Paul were the perfect hosts and Nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely go back again to stay longer and explore more of the surrounding areas.

I’m sorry we had to leave early because my husband was not well but we enjoyed it very much.

The Saddlers is a lovely property.

It was clean, cosy and comfortable. Racheal was very responsive to all our questions and needs, a fantastic and attentive host. The log fire was lovely, sofas comfy and everything you could need was available in the kitchen. Our visits from Ted (the friendly dog from next door) were a lovely surprise, and it was nice seeing the cows graze in the field in the mornings. If I was being very critical, the bin was a little far from the kitchen, and the lid could do with fixing. And the microwave was a little rusty on the inside, it could do with being replaced. But honestly, these are very minor issues. The place really is a lovely retreat from the hustle and bustle of life. I highly recommend it :)

We had a lovely stay at Saddlers and enjoyed time together as a family.

I think on reflection, maybe just a few points that would of allowed us to give more than 4*. Yes it sleeps 6 (2 people being on the sofabed)- but this sofa bed is in the living room with no curtains to block the light out or give you any privacy. For me, this place is better suited to 4 people maximum. We felt the place could have been a little cleaner but nothing outrageous. Eg-some dishes and utensils were dirty, floor a little muddy. There was also some dog poo on the garden out the front, not ideal when you have children with you- but, this is a dog friendly cottage so, we accept it to a degree. Overall, a lovely place, the owner was lovely and we did have a great time. Just those little things which have knocked it down to a 4*. The hot tub was lovely & private.

A lovely greeting on arrival and the little bonus of a chilled bottle of fizz and cupcakes was a nice touch. Some lovely dog walks around the area too. The hot tub was all ready and up to temperature when we arrived

We knew as soon as we saw the property online that it would be a lovely place to stay and we were right.

The location was perfect, the property was clean and had everything we needed and the owners were very helpful in providing additional facilities (grab rails, shower seat etc.) for a guest with mobility issues. Finding such a nice property that’s also dog friendly and with a hot tub was a real bonus. The owners went out of their way to replace a kitchen item damaged by previous guests (within a couple of hours of mentioning it!) and couldn’t have been more helpful. We rarely return to the same place as we like seeing new areas but it was so lovely here that we will book again. Would highly recommend to all but especially anyone looking for a dog/disability friendly place.

Saddlers is a lovely quiet place and gave us a chance to relax and recoup.

The most important thing to us, when we stay anywhere, is cleanliness and this place was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, well equipt and perfect if you have a dog as the property is secure. The underfloor heating worked well and the hot tub was fantastic. Our host Rachael was welcoming and you get the feeling no ask would be too big. It has a wetroom, and the the next time we visit we'll take my mother in law as it is also accessibility friendly. We'll be back.

What a stunning house!

The owners had treats for us on arrival and had thought about all the little personal touches to make our stay perfect, the property was 10/10 and perfect for out girls weekend away. Just 5 mins away is the best spa we have ever been too. If you are looking for an escape from the world, this is the house for you!

A secluded, peaceful and relaxing holiday was enjoyed by our family due to approachable and helpful hosts, a warm fire, comfortable beds and a great hot tub.

Visiting a nearby farm where organic milk shakes, eggs and potatoes could be purchased was also a bonus.

The wheelchair ramp and wet room made our stay easier. There was enough room to get her wheelchair around. Had everything you needed. The hot tub was nice but it could do with a wind breaker.

Our mini break away at Saddlers provided everything we needed for rest and relaxation.

The owners were lovely, helpful and courteous of our needs. My 3 year old daughter's haven't stopped asking about our return to the 'holiday house' since we left.

Rachael was very kind to show us around when we first arrived and we were greeted with some lovely cupcakes, Prosecco & a small carton of milk in the fridge to start us off with. We took our Labrador Winston who also enjoyed his stay very much, the area is great for dog walking and we visited some beautiful places during our stay especially in stone where we found some lovely coffee shops. The amenities were great and we really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a long day! The property was fantastic and had everything we needed, we couldn’t of asked for more! Thanks again.

This was a beautiful and tastefully decorated property with everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay.

Spotlessly clean and well maintained and with the added bonus of the hot tub. It was also lovely to watch the cows in the opposite field in the mornings which being townies we don’t see much of! Perfectly located for Alton Towers and the potteries and with a safe and enclosed garden for our dogs. Thank you to owners Rachael and Paul for the welcome Prosecco and cakes! Would definitely like to return but preferably without the dogs so that we can do more exploring.

Owner was really friendly and happy for us to move furniture to make a bit more space for 2 wheelchairs. So very wheelchair friendly as advertised. Shower room could do with a grab rail but other than that loved it. Would book again if come back to this area. Thank you!

Really friendly owners, quality accommodation and a really secure garden for the dog which was also an all-day sun trap. Looked out over a field with visiting cows. Great pub down the road.

Beds are very comfortable and ample storage space. The Hot tub is excellent and unlike previous holidays where they say it’s a hot tub and leave you a inflatable one, this one is amazing. We had the best time away at Saddlers for my birthday! We arrived and Rachael came over to say hello and showed me around and let me know everything and anything we needed to know! Saddlers was incredibly clean and well laid out, perfect if you are visiting with someone who is in a wheelchair! My partner is wheelchair bound and found it easy to use the wet room and get over the toilet in her shower chair. I don’t think we can fault Saddlers in any way! We will definitely return again in the future!

The only one comment I would make. When the sun is coming through the glass doors in the kitchen/lounge area the voiles aren't strong enough to keep the sun out. So it becomes hard to sit in there. I though there may be some blinds fixed within the doors. The rest of the accommodation was amazing, so thank you!!!

The property was super clean and stocked with everything you could need. The garden was great for our dog, who loved to watch the birds and cows from a safe enclosed place. The beds were comfy and the log burner was a real cosy treat. Would definitely recommend!

we was greeted by our wonderful hosts who showed us around and told us everything we needed to know and congratulated us on our recent wedding.

The cottage was beautiful and super clean. I had the best nights sleep id had in a long time and swear the bed and pillows are made of actual clouds. We will definitely be back.

Lovely little extra touch of the bottle of fizz on ice for our arrival. We found a great walk at Downs Banks to take the dog, each day we went a different route and it was brilliant - just a short 10/15 min drive from the property. A small suggestion - we got lucky with the weather and it was very warm. A fan or two would be a great addition to the facilities. As it’s south facing and we get the sun all day, the addition of a parasol outdoors to provide some shade for us but also our four legged friend would be hugely beneficial. Thanks again!

Such a lovely place to stay, we didn’t want to leave and we would definitely go back.

The accommodation is so tasteful and comfortable, and the hot tub is amazing. As a family we include a 5 and 6 year old, and a larger dog who all also loved the garden. The owners are close by, helpful if needed, but were very respectful of privacy. They knew our dog could bark when seeing another dog so kept the lovely Ted (black lab) away. The local pub is a fun footpath away and it was also easy to travel to lots of places of interest, and stock up at a supermarket. Really can’t recommend enough

We had a lovely time at Saddles, and we would not hesitate to return.

We didn’t know before we booked that the property is next door to the owners and normally this may have put us off however please don’t let it, they were lovely, very knowledgeable about the local area and where to walk our dogs, we only really saw them when they checked the hot tub, which by the way is one of the best and well kept we’ve used. It is very private and we returned totally relaxed. The interior of the accommodation is very luxurious and the beds are the comfiest we’ve stayed in. Thank you for a wonderful week and as I’ve said we would love to return at some point.

Lovely venue, it gave enough privacy and was rural enough without being too far from everything.

The hosts (Rachael and Paul) were wonderful and friendly too and were extremely accommodating.

Sadlers is a lovely holiday venue.

The accommodation is high quality with everything you need and Rachael and Paul are on hand if needed. The area is quiet and tranquil, which suited us well. But there is plenty to do if you are happy to jump in the car. The National Abroretum, Trentham Gardens and Alton Towers are easily accessible and all worth a visit. Definately recommend this lovely hideaway.

The cottage is finished to a very high standard.

There is everything you would need for your stay. The enclosed garden was brilliant for the dog and the views are lovely. The local village is a short walk away and would highly recommend The Shoulder of Mutton at Fulford. They do amazing meals and all the people in the village are very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

If you have dogs and want somewhere to go away look no further.

Large fully enclosed garden our whippet and greyhound had lots of room to run around in. Gives complete reassurance that you don’t have to worry about letting your dogs out like at some places that isn’t enclosed. The barn is lovely to stay at. You’re roughly about 40-50 yards away from owners property but they are lovey and give you all the privacy you need. Literally everything you will need to stay there has been provided. Beyond amazed at home much stuff was there. We brought too much but always better to be prepared. Slight ongoing issue with WiFi (Sykes hadn’t updated advert correctly for mobile viewing) and the roof is a metal roof so you don’t get any mobile signal once inside. So if you are like us and watch everything through Netflix/Amazon/Disney etc download things first. Once this issues has been sorted(nothing to do with the owners all down to stupid BT) it’s literally the perfect place to stay. Stone is a short drive away and has plenty to offer. A+ place

If you would like a peaceful trip this is the place lovely and peaceful and quiet beautiful views absolutely amazing owners and the building it’s Self absolutely gorgeous I would give it 100/100 highly recommended love to go again
