Belinda and Nigel Manning live on site and were extremely welcoming and helpful.

We particularly noted the provision of a jar of strawberry jam, a pack of butter in the fridge and full kilner jars of muesli anf cereals, a part of a generous attitude to guests. In the extreme heat wave across the UK this basement apartment proved to be cool as a cucumber and the huge bed allowed a night's sleep when much of the UK was sweltering - what an unexpected gift !

Very clean, comfortable and spacious.

For two of us loads of space. Kitchen had everything including a welcome pack of milk, eggs, bread, butter cereal. It is well located for the older town with choice of pubs and restaurants, and a 10 minute ( steepish hill) to the opera house, crescent, shopping arcades etc. The owners are on site but not intrusive. A good place for a relaxing break

Number 32A is the ideal location for a visit to Buxton, and the Peak District.

It's situated on a quiet street, and it's just a short walk into the town centre from this property. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming and friendly. The property itself is scrupulously clean, and very comfortable, warm and inviting. Everything is provided for, for a comfortable stay, and more importantly it all works. The obvious question is would we stay at No. 32A again if visiting the area ? The answer is definitely yes.

The apartment was lovely, clean. But unfortunately there was alot of footfall/ slamming doors noise because the owners lived upstairs, early evening, bed time, and early morning. Had to leave to due noise & my anxiety was so bad I couldn't sleep.

We've just ha a lovely short break in 32A.

The apartment is well maintained. Large superking size bed. Kitchen has everything you need, including a washing machine. This is situated 10 mins walking distance from Buxton pump room / crescent. It is a nice walk, you do go down a big hill to get to the town so bear that in mind if your mobility is limited. There is parking at the property.

We had a great 3 days in Buxton and our accomodation was excellent.

Centrally located close to the centre meant we were able to walk to all the amenities of the town ( and with off road parking.) The apartment was spotless, modern and warm. P.S should you be walking mam tor dont do it from the local village but rather use the National Trust car park much closer - but get there early!

We had a great week at 32A.

Hosts were excellent and we had some very good weather for visiting and walking in the surrounding countryside. Just a short walk to the center of Buxton which has lots of restaurants and shops. Would highly recommend it.

A lovely basement apartment, clean, comfortable, well appointed and stocked, with off road parking too.

The town centre is only a short walk away, so you can use local buses to get around. We would happily stay there again.

Nice cottage near everything quiet abit bland needs a rug and some pictures to make it perfect had to bring our own throws and bath mat yes heating is good but sometimes you just like a cover especially when your elderly friendly owners let us park early and lovely little dog bed large and comfortable thankyou

Couldn't get the oven to work which Nigel the owner promptly sorted. Great welcome pack which always goes down well. Loved watching the birds in the tree house and we were able to sit out on the garden bench on our first day before it rained the rest of our week. Property was about 5 minute walk from the bus stop for getting to other villages/towns which was very handy as we don't drive. Our only issue was the settees were too low down and not very high at the back but that's a personal choice to us. If we were ever in Buxton again would definitely stay at 32a.

Excellent property for two.

Bedroom is much bigger than it looks in the photos. It has all the facilities that you need and the welcome goodies were much appreciated! It is ideally placed for exploring Buxton and there are several pubs and restaurants within east walking distance. All in all a highly recommended property and one that we will return to.

Off road parking a real bonus in Buxton. Quiet road but convenient for town and facilities. The owners are welcoming and helpful but not intrusive, and supplied us with tea. coffee and breakfast items which were much appreciated. We would be very happy to stay again.

Very warm welcome from Belinda and Nigel and very much appreciated and generous food parcel of bread, eggs, jam , butter, coffee, sugar, tea, milk ,etc., etc. Scrupulously clean apartment, very comfortable bed and everything that we needed was available. Parking off road a huge benefit, and bus passes meant that we only used the car to visit Chatsworth House - our favourite stately home. Highly recommended holiday apartment.

Lovely apartment within walking distance of the main areas of the town and provided a good base for numerous walking areas in the Peak District.

The kitchen was well equipped and the owners had provided some essential groceries to start the week. If I returned to the area, I would certainly consider this property again.

This was a return visit to Buxton, all be it in different accommodation.

This apartment is fantastic and is well situated ust back from the High Street; even though it's very close to the High Street, it was lovely and quiet. Belinda, the owner, was really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome. The welcome pack of eggs, bread, jam and butter was all local and really excellent quality. We couldn't have wished for a nicer place to spend our holiday, and would highly recommend the apartment and location to anyone wanting to stay in Buxton. We will definitely be booking this property again when we return to Buxton in the future.

The stay was great.

The hosts are very nice & hospitable. They had fresh towels, local butter, local eggs, tea, bread and a very clean flat ready for us. We enjoyed our time here, and would love to visit again. The surrounding area is also great for hiking - and the hosts already prepared material for their recommendations regarding hiking routes & restaurants. We also visited Lake District which was a bit of drive away from this spot. Was great for exploring both Buxton peaks and the Lake District. Highly recommend.

The apartment was exactly as described.

Belinda was so friendly and showed us around when we arrived. The kitchen was well equipped and the rest of the property was comfortable and spacious. So close to the centre of Buxton was an advantage as was the off road parking. Would certainly book again.

Absolutely lovely little flat.

Hosts were great. We had milk already in the fridge so didn't need to go out to get some to make tea after our journey. Added to that, a loaf of lovely rustic bread, some really nice local butter, local jam and 6 eggs. We didn't need to go for breakfast as we had all that we needed. Place was very clean and spacious. Bedroom and bed are huge. The ONLY thing I could pick on was in another review too in that there's nowhere to hang a towel or clothes when you shower. This was a great stay. You're only 5 min walk to the centre. I would definitely come back here and also recommend to others.

Clean,comfortable, well equipped and warm as it was November. My only niggle is a hook for your towels when getting out of the shower. Great central location can walk everywhere.

the basement apartment is surprisingly light and warm with the ability to park off road very welcome given the parking restrictions in Buxton.

the small garden with a comfortable bench is a pleasant place to have a cup of tea which the owners provided together with coffee, pot of jam, loaf of bread and muesli. artisan butter and fresh milk was also gifted. 32a is very close to the town, 5 mins walk, and is ideal for a peak district base. the facilities and décor are new or nearly new and are of a high standard.

Excellent, modern accommodation in a location providing easy pedestrian access to Buxton’s town centre; its principal heritage attractions; and its restaurants & pubs.

The car parking space on-site is also a welcome feature. The only items that could further enhance the accommodation, albeit minor, would be a couple of clothes hooks in the bathrooms!

Clean, central, modern, parking, a lovely big comfortable bed everything you could need and the lovely touch of bread, milk, eggs etc being there when you arrive. The only small thing we missed was somewhere to hang your towel when showering. Would definitely recommend and will book again.

32A is a little gem.

Its position is perfect and has off road parking which is important when the property is in or close to the town centre. The facilities in the apartment are everything you need and are modern and the bed was very comfortable and big. Eating places and supermarkets are within close walking distance. A brilliant find in Buxton!

Close to the centre of town with restaurants and supermarkets all within easy walking distance. Comfiest bed we’ve ever slept in on holiday. Property owners were extremely helpful and kind.

The location was excellent and the hosts made every effort to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as possible, including leaving provisions such as bread and milk for our arrival, meaning we didn't have to rush straight out to a shop. There was lots of information about the local area provided, including walking directions and menus for local restaurants and takeaways. The owners also gave some personal recommendations for days out. The flat itself was spotless and had all the home comforts we needed. We would highly recommend this property and would be more than happy to stay here again in future.

They were very welcoming and gave us lots of tips about the local area. Great location for exploring Buxton and the Peaks in general. Around 10mins walk from the town centre and the supermarkets. Flat itself was clean and felt very safe in the current situation. Hand gel and wipes were provided and instructions and precautions to take.

Plenty of places to go in the area, We particularly enjoyed Crompton Mill, Chatsworth and Eyam the Plaque Village, and if you like walking plenty of walks for all abilities. Further afield we visited Holmfirth ( Last of the summer wine Country) Most enjoyable, if we come this way again , we wouldn't hesitate to rebook.

We booked a few days in this apartment in early December as we were attending a concert and celebrating a birthday.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It was well appointed and nicely furnished. There was a generous welcome pack - eggs, milk, butter, bread and jam. Also plenty of tea bags and coffee. We were there during quite a cold spell but the apartment was warm. We visited Chatsworth and Hardwick Hall which was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The owners were very friendly and helpful. It was useful to be able to park in the drive and walk to the concert venue. We had a really relaxing break. The apartment was close to shops and cafes but also in a quiet street. We would not hesitate to recommend number 32A and hope to return some time.

The lady owner was very helpful, by giving us information with regards to eating out and places to visit etc. We are already considering making a return to the property next year and recommend this place to everyone. Everything that we needed was provided and it was immaculate.

32A is a wonderful place to stay.

It is so close to the main part of Buxton, but you don't know it until you walk there and it is such a pleasant short walk. In side 32A is warm, clean and spacious, I especially liked the walk-in wardrobe (I called it my dressing room). It's a great base for walking, with many good walks close by. And there are plenty of leaflets to help you decide what to do if you don't want to walk. The owner is very friendly and helpful. She came and introduced herself on our first evening and informed us some of the good places to eat. We had a great week at 32A and intended to go back again.

Off road parking is an added bonus for Buxton and the walk in to the town with all the amazing facilities it has to offer, is just a few minutes walk. The owners are charming and informative.

This is beautifully designed, well equipped accommodation and we found it to be very comfortable.

Loved the huge bed. It was conveniently situated in the “HighTown”, only a few minutes walk from shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and another five minutes walk down to the Crescent and Opera House etc. A welcome pack of goodies was a delightful surprise.

32A is a lovely basement apartment in a quite side street.

The unit is bigger than expected and very well appointed with everything, and more, that we hoped for. Our hosts were really friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Only a 2 minutes walk from upper Buxton market square, and a 5 minutes walk to lower Buxton, with lots of places to eat and drink, suiting a wide range of tastes. Although a very wet week, we found lots to do in and around the area, and had a really relaxing time. We would recommend 32A to couples, looking for a get away with all the creature comforts. If we find our selves in Buxton again, we would certainly wish to make a return booking.

A perfectly positioned property, only five minutes from the centre of Buxton.

Shops and pubs and eating places nearby. Parking on the owner's driveway was very welcome. We had a warm welcome from the owner and she provided a generous helping of basic foodstuffs for our use. The apartment was clean and comfortable and catered well for visitors, with local information and books and dvds for spare time.

Excellent modern and clean apartment, that against expectations really didn't feel like you were in the basement - plenty of light.

Many local restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance. Maps and walking guides available within the apartment, as well as some books and quite a few DVD's (should it be raining too hard). Welcome pack of bread, jam, milk etc. left by the owner. Comfortable bed, and a powerful spacious shower with lots of hot water.

The owners provided all the basics and extras. it was a peaceful location but just a couple of minutes walk away from anything you could possibly need.

I booked through Tripadvisor and sent a message 3 times but didn't receive a reply eventually contacted Sykes direct.

From then on all okay. Stayed at 32A South Avenue for 4 nights. Excellent apartment, comfortable, very clean and had all we needed. Belinda (owner) was very friendly and helpful.Off road parking. About 10 minutes walk to the centre of Buxton with many restaurants and cafes. . We will be returning.
