A very peaceful location and just on/outside the Eastern edge of the National Park providing great access.

There's much to do nearby such as visiting Chatsworth house, Haddon Hall and great walks on the doorstep and nearby. Bakewell is nearby also. The accommodation was roomy and clean and there are most things you'd need there in terms of crockery, pots/pans and cutlery. The TV is ok, however It is nice these days to be able to access some sort of streaming service for evening entertainment and smart TV's these days are inexpensive and common place, and so that would make be a useful upgrade. There is an X-Box/DVD but this isn't in the living room and is set up for a child's entertainment really. Take a fire TV stick or similar if you want streaming services, and your own washing up liquid. A minor comment is that although the fridge is fine the freezer section had iced up and it's door could not be closed. Perhaps it had been left open at some point and just frozen over as a result? It wasn't a major issue since we had nothing to freeze, however as a result shutting the main fridge door successfully required a shove and it was quite easy to leave it open. These are very minor points and overall the property and location were great and would be highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay, the cottage was immaculate and a great size for a family of 4.

It was cosy and warm. The log burner was great, beds were comfy. A few things that could have been improved are the sofas as they weren’t that comfy as the leather was a bit slippy/not cosy. A sofa in the playroom/study would have also been nice so the children could sit and watch tv. But overall it was a gorgeous cottage and we had a great week. Great location for Peak District and plenty nice villages and pubs around. We would visit again.
