Amazing cottage - perfect for Christmas for our family: couple and 2 teenagers, to enable us to be based close to relatives.

The cottage was very well appointed and there were many lovely festive touches Excellent communication from the owner.

We have been to Olive Tree Cottage several times and always enjoy our visit.

The place is spotlessly clean, warm, cosy and well equipped. The host has been extremely helpful and obliging over the years.

We had a lovely week at Olive Tree Cottage in the beautiful Yorkshire Peak district.

The cottage is beautifully decorated and had all the facilities we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was very well appointed and there is a great little store just a few minutes walk from the cottage. Honley is a lovely little village and we enjoyed many lovely walks up to the surrounding hills.

We have just returned from a short break which we really enjoyed The cottage was first class with everything we needed for our stay Very clean and tidy with lovely comfortable beds a very well equipped kitchen and comfy sitting room with an open fire Outside was a well kept garden with plenty of room to relax after a stroll in the countryside The village of Honley was a short stroll away with a good range of shops pubs and restaurants Would highly recommend this cottage as a base to explore the the beautiful surroundings of the Peak District and would definitely stay here again Jim

A beautifully appointed home in a lovely setting, small things make a difference, we appreciaited the dog gate to stop the dogs going upstairs that made our lives very easy on a night.

The house had everything we required and was lovely and homely. The village has good amenities and the shop around the corner was great for our everyday needs. We would recommend a walk to Victoria Tower and through the woods.

We're a family of 5 adults who stayed in this charming cottage for 3 nights.

It was comfortable, cosy, quiet and had everything we needed for a lovely short break. The owners were super friendly and communitive. The local town was a short walk away and had a great selection of restaurants, pubs and shops. Everyone really enjoyed their stay.

Very cozy, comfortable, every household item is available, you will find surprise in each corner, it's a luxury home, I don't wanna leave, I would love my house to be like Olive Tree Cottage, our lovely neighbor Mis Ann was very kind and generous, thank you very much Linda and Ann, best wishes.

Beautifully presented, brilliant location close to groceries, pub, village and woods. All in a quiet neighborhood. Lovely garden to catch some rays and sip a wine over chatter. The pre arrival information from owners was timely, comprehensive and professional. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Olive Tree Cottage was wonderful!

The property is great and centrally located in the beautiful village of Honley. The home has everything you need for a perfect getaway, and comfortably fits 5-6 people. The neighbors and locals are all super friendly. Holmfirth is just a 10 minute drive, or take the bus, just 15 mins from right outside the rental home. Definitely one of the nicest homes we've stayed in.

Very well appointed/presented, cosy, comfortable home with all mod cons, you will not be disappointed.

We had a very comfortable stay in this beautiful cottage. Set in a beautiful part of Yorkshire with lovely views from back of the house. Linda the owner Couldn't do enough for us & was especially kind over an incident we had. We really enjoyed our stay here.

It's a very welcoming cottage with a lovely owner. There was everything we needed in the cottage and a shop and pub only a few minutes walk away. The log burner is a brilliant addition and provided enough heat for the whole cottage. I will definitely be booking again if for no other reason than to go and see some of the characters in the local pub.

It was perfect.

There's nothing I can think of to improve a stay at this property. Hopefully I shall be returning to Olive Tree Cottage again in 2025.

Very comfortable & well equipped cottage that had everything we needed for our stay.

The cottage was immaculate and very nicely furnished. We also loved the fact that there was a local shop literally on the doorstep with a fabulous farm shop only a short drive away. Honley itself was a fabulous base in which to explore the area - we very much enjoyed our week staying here!

The host is very attentive and helpful and the house brochure is exceptionally detailed with information about the house as well as the surrounding area. Highly recommended.

Olive Tree Cottage is a perfect base to explore this part of Yorkshire.

Great communication from Lynda. Off road parking is a bonus, and key collection very easy. The cottage size is very deceptive from the outside. It’s like a tardis once you get inside. Warm and cozy. Bring some logs to set a real fire in the wood burner. A garden too which will be lovely on warmer days. A wonderful shop with a deli just around the corner so no need really, to bring any food or drink with you. Be confident with your booking for Olive Tree Cottage. You won’t be disappointed.

We had a wonderful stay at Olive Tree Cottage.

The cottage was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and equipped with everything you would need. The private parking was a great bonus on the small lane that the cottage is located on, a location which meant almost total silence at night despite being close to the centre of town. The host provided all the info we needed for the cottage as well as some local recommendations which were appreciated. Honley itself is a fantastic base to explore the surrounding area, whether on foot or via the impressive bus and train links. We brought our two whippets with us and the town is very dog friendly. All in all, couldn’t recommend Olive Tree Cottage highly enough and we would have no hesitation in staying again.

This was our second visit and will not be our last.

This property offers everything you would require as a 'home from home'.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need however, there are also multiple choices of local venues for food (indian, pub classics, chinese, fish and chips....). A local shop (less than 5 minutes walk) stocks a range of essentials and has a deli/fresh stock.The decor is lovely and the property was spotless. Comfortable beds throughout and an added bonus of a large garden to relax in (weather permitting) The location is perfect for visiting a number of attractions- there is also a good bus service and a train station in the village if required. Great local walks allowing for early morning adventures with our dog. Would recommend this property.

A super cottage in a great location.

Spotlessly clean and quality from top to bottom - from great mattresses to bed linen and towels. We also loved the gorgeous artworks. We’ve stayed in a few cottages in the area over the years visiting family and this is by far the best. We will definitely use Olive Cottage again and would highly recommend.

Just been to the Olive Tree Cottage and it was lovely!

The owner was really helpful and easy to get in touch with. The cottage it welcoming and inviting! The beds are super comfy. The cottage is a walk away from the local town. You can walk up castle hill from the cottage which is a lovely walk for those hikers with pub stops along the way! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

We spent a week as a family of 4, plus our dog at Olive Tree Cottage and we all enjoyed our stay.

Tucked away, this hidden gem is home from home, well equipped and maintained to a good standard. We were welcomed with complimentary teas/coffees and biscuits, which was a nice touch. It was a good base for us, to be able to see family not far away, as well as visiting local attractions and great walks on the doorstep. A clean and tidy house with a kitchen courtyard and 2 lawned gardens, perfect for everyone.

Great cottage that was very comfortable and very clean, the lounge with the two settees and log burner was a delight.

There is a very good bathroom with a fantastic shower, the owner Linda keeps this place immaculate, and communication is excellent. We will definitely visit again and would have no hesitation in recommending it to family and friends.

The cottage looks small from the outside but when you get in, it's a real gem.

It was very clean, comfortable and cosy. All you need is there. Top marks to Linda & Jason. The bedrooms were all excellent - if I was going to be picky, the only thing was the front smallest bedroom didn't have a reading light. We found the cottage very difficult to find though. For future reference, once you get to the excellent Taylors Food shop, with the shop on your left hand side, the cottage is about 50 yards further on, down the lane marked "Private Road". I would highly recommend a Sunday lunch at the excellent Jacob's Well pub. A real traditional nosh up.

It doesn't list a dishwasher, which in fact it did have and was an unexpected bonus. Looking forward to returning.

According to the Guest book, Linda is very helpful and informative. We didn’t need to trouble her as all our needs were met. Great location for walking and exploring the area, fabulous eateries & pubs in walking distance. We have stayed in numerous Sykes cottages and this one is our favourite

Wonderful cottage that I would recommend , three large bedrooms and beautiful decor throughout the cottage .

All the facilities you need and in a quiet area with off street parking . Local dog walking areas that was useful to us with our dogs and a short ride to large country walks

We stayed over Christmas with our returning family while waiting to move into our new house and Olive Tree Cottage provided us with a home from home.

We were so glad to be there. The property was immaculate and beautifully presented throughout. The kitchen was so well equipped that it made cooking a proper Christmas lunch very straightforward and the wood burner in the sitting room was fantastic. There were walks to be enjoyed on the doorstep. We appreciated all that Linda did to make our stay such an absolute pleasure. Thank you.

This is an excellent property and the owners very attentive, the cooker could have done with some instructions as the numbers on the dials have worn away, location excellent near to one of the best shops we’ve ever used, bus stops within easy reach, a fantastic break was had by us.

We could not fault our stay at Olive Tree Cottage.

The location was ideal - a short walk from Honley and within easy reach by train or bus to Holmfirth. If visiting the Peak District, this would be the perfect base. The beds were extremely comfy and the cottage was very warm and cosy. The welcome pack of biscuits and tea, as well as the generous log burner starter kit, was the cherry on top. We would definitely recommend a stay at Linda's cottage!
