Its private en‑suite shower room, complete with walk‑in shower, basin and WC, offers a well‑appointed and convenient space to begin or end the day.
Step back outside where the decking becomes a natural gathering point.
The hot tub overlooks the river, providing a scenic place to unwind beneath the stars, while the outdoor furniture creates an inviting setting for long summer evenings.

What guests are saying
Our family had an amazing stay at Oak Lodge.
The views in every direction are breathtaking, we particularly enjoyed watching the cows and sheep along with the wildlife by the river. The inside of the lodge was clean and modern and very spacious for our 3 rambunctious boys. The kitchen is well equipped and we didn’t have the usual battle when on holiday of trying to cook with tiny trays etc. Having the hot tub was an added bonus to entertain everyone. We would definitely recommend this stay.
We enjoyed our stay at Oak Lodge and it was a beautiful location.
It was peaceful and the lodge looked exactly as pictured. We did encounter some issues which I think initially weren't dealt with very effectively. On arrival the lodge was absolutely covered in hundreds of flies. I realise we were in the countryside and there are bound to be insects but this was a full blown swarm of flies covering the lodge. There were so many that you could hear them swarming. I took video and photos and sent these to the owner but was just told there was nothing they could do, that they had had pest control out to spray before and there was nothing further they could do. I felt this was dismissive and also showed that they were aware of the issue but had chosen not to tell us. Thankfully after a few hours they had all gone and only returned on one other occasion. There were other issues with the lodge such as an ironing board that had no cover, a broken fridge shelf and both upstairs showers had controls for the temperature that were really difficult to turn and need looking at. I did raise a couple of these issues and the owner did say they would sort these out but this didnt happen in the time we were there. Also when I've stayed at lodges with hot tubs before on several other stays, the hot tub has always been checked, refilled if necessary and chemical levels checked but this didn't happen during our stay. I still give it 4 out of 5 as the lodge was peaceful, comfortable and we still very much enjoyed our stay. It needs a few upgrades and changes to be 5 stars.
Fantastic stay, very peaceful just what we needed.
Only thing I'd say was missing was a BBQ in oak lodge. Spotless and great staff on hand for any issues. We'll be back for sure.
