Having driven for over 225 miles and taking over 4 hours to reach the annexe, it would have been a nice touch to have been left a welcoming pack of basics ie milk, sugar and maybe a small loaf etc.
There were some small coffee sachets and some iffy teabags. I only say that because I didn't know if they were flavoured or not and some appeared brown. There was plenty of hot water which was lovely but a shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries on would have been helpful. The accommodation was exactly as described with beautiful views of the hills both front and back even allowing for owners parked vehicles and builders lorry at the front. The owner is obviously still carrying out construction work around the main property as there was building materials in the field behind the annexe and excavation work being done on our arrival. There was a single vehicle lane with a few passing places for about a mile from Little Stretton to the annexe but in the whole week we only met two vehicles causing evasive manoeuvres. The owners have three dogs. They obviously barked whenever we came and went but not when owners were at home. Overall amenities were very good and suited our purpose. However I fail to see why a dish washer was placed in the kitchen area as I doubt, with only two guests, there wouldn't have been enough crockery and cutlery to fill it. Personally I would have used the area for food storage. At night time it was very quiet and peaceful.
Lovely place, but was expecting the garden to be fenced off for the apartment area for the dog.
The garden was the owners full garden and felt awkward walking around with my dog. Did have a nice road for walking the dog which she enjoyed. Lovely and clean. Lovely view from back of apartment.
Great location.
Peaceful short break.
