Description

Nesscliffe 1 mile.

An attractive mid-19th century, detached, stone-built barn conversion situated opposite the owner’s farmhouse, on a non-working farm, one mile from the Shropshire village of Nesscliffe.

This Nesscliffe cottage has been thoughtfully renovated to provide a single-storey, light and airy, open plan holiday home, which retains its original character beams and trusses.

Along with a delightful open plan living area, this cottage near Shrewsbury provides a wet room shower, a welcoming twin bedroom and a sun room, which is an ideal place to enjoy breakfast or a morning coffee.

The rear patio area at this Shropshire cottage is perfect for relaxing with a drink or lighting the barbecue and dining alfresco, whilst you admire the hill views.

Nearby Nesscliffe village has a popular 15th century inn and a country park, ideal for energetic walks or bike rides, whilst the scenic Severn Way Walk is not far away.

More wonderful walking can be enjoyed in the Shropshire Hills around Church Stretton, known as Little Switzerland, and the area offers excellent days out to medieval Shrewsbury, beautiful Ludlow, the market town of Oswestry and the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site.

Also take some time to visit Stokesay Castle, Acton Scott Historic Working Farm, Wroxeter Roman ruins, the Severn Valley Railway, and the Welsh border is close by.

This Nesscliffe holiday cottage provides superb accommodation, perfect for two people to explore lovely Shropshire.

This is our 6th or 7th stay at Byre cottage so that says it all really.

This year was yet another birthday treat. Comfort and location is great. Very well equipped too. We love sitting in the sun room just watching the wildlife. This is our favourite holiday cottage.
