Creenagh's Cottage

Description

Tucked into a sheltered valley of Knighton Farm, yet surrounded by the dramatic scenery and charm of Exmoor, you will find Creenagh's Cottage.

This traditional farmstead has fishing rights on the River Barle, and is home to a small herd of Pedigree Dexter Cattle.

A mile-long tarmac track leads up to the retreat, a beautifully refurbished annexe to the owners’ farmhouse.

There is a lovely lounge overseeing the courtyard, with two steps up to the dining area, whilst the delightful kitchen looks out over the garden.

From morning through to night time, you can appreciate this home-away-from-home, somewhere unique for you and your loved one to relax in style.

Continue through the property where you will also discover a shower room located on the ground floor.

The upper level is your own little space to enjoy in the evening, a large size bedroom with lovely features, including a dressing table, sloping ceiling, and exposed beams to the side, encompassing the whole first floor.

Outside is a sheltered patio and enclosed garden ideal for dog owners, or just some peace and quiet amidst the peaceful surround.

Within moments you can be in the midst of the wonderful wide open space above the farm taking in the panoramic views.

Exmoor is a dark sky capital, so on a clear night the stars are amazing, either from wondering around outside or lying in bed looking through the Velux windows.

For outings further afield why not try the market town of Dulverton (10 miles), the medieval town of Dunster with its castle (16 miles), Porlock and Porlock weir, where Exmoor meets the sea (13 miles), or Woolacombe for it's magnificent beach (30 miles).

Delightful little cottage in great location, especially if you enjoy peace and quite with lovely walks over fields and the moorland right on the doorstep.

Geoff and Bev are excellent hosts, providing welcome goodies for your arrival and dear Tommy (little black cocker) will be delighted to see you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Creenagh Cottage.

It was comfortable and cosy and had everything we needed. Bev and Geoff were friendly and on hand to help whenever we needed. Good weather was a bonus at the end of September. The only thing I would have liked was separate chopping boards for meat and veg and bread. But that is the only criticism!!! A delightful Cottage
