What guests are saying
Thatchers End is a beautiful cottage which instantly felt like home.
A super location, we had a fabulous week exploring Dorset and as keen runners were delighted to find a track open to the public in Yeovil. Mark is an exceptional host and his generous welcome pack and thoughtful water and sweets for the journey home were greatly appreciated. This was just the best holiday.
This picture postcard cottage is just perfect: from the quiet and peaceful location at the edge of the picturesque village of Trent, the beautiful garden with comfortable garden furniture and a fantastic view over rolling fields up to the carefully furnished and tastefully decorated interior of the house.
The cottage was immaculately clean, has comfortable beds and is equipped and furnished to a very high standard. There is everything you could possibly need and we really felt at home immediately. Although the cottage is situated so quiet that you can only hear the birds, it is located conveniently for visiting a number of places (i.e. National Trust properties, Sherborne, Shaftesbury), and there are also nice local walks. We appreciated the generous welcome basket (even with champagne), and the farewell refreshments which came a surprise. Mark is an outstanding host who was so very friendly, gave us helpful information and made us really feel welcome! We can only highly recommend this cottage and hope to be back some time.
Such a lovely quiet, comfortable and relaxing cottage to stay in.
All facilities provided to a high standard and the host Mark very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
