When we arrived we found the front door swinging open as if someone was coming back any minute - there was a grubby wet cloth on the arm of the sofa: very strange!

More important, the shower was unusable because the thermostat was stuck on hot. I noticed that this had been mentioned previously in the visitors book. The kitchen was well equipped but the buckets, mops, brushes etc heaped up next to the fridge was not pretty: they should be in a cupboard. The garden is very nice and the beds were comfortable.

A fantastic property in the town centre.

It was a bonus having parking. My car is a VW Polo and fitted perfectly in the parking space provided. The cottage had everything we needed for our short stay. The welcome food pack was a lovely touch and much appreciated. I agree with previous comments about the road noise but wasn’t a real problem as we were out most of the time. It was more noticeable in the early morning. A great base for exploring the local area of Sherborne & going a bit further afield. Would definitely recommend to others, although if you have mobility issues the garden steps and steep stairs to the bedrooms might cause you a problem. It wasn’t a problem for me. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Hi we really enjoyed our stay at Pendenis.

It was bright and clean. All the beds were fresh and comfortable. Only things I would change is making sure the previous tenants have left the keys in the back box, which wasn't the case for us. The sofa (not used as a bed) is extremely uncomfortable to sit on. The cushions on the kitchen chairs are the wrong shape meaning they too are uncomfortable. Lots of complaints from the children! Finally we have a long large family car as do a lot of people today. Therefore found getting in and out of the parking area very tricky. We questioned on several occasions how much use the covering is compared to how much of a nuisance. The latter won each time. On the whole though we would all recommend this property for a holiday. Sherborne is beautiful and beautiful easy walking distance. It is also ideally situated for many local towns, beaches attractions etc.
