We had a very pleasant stay at The laurels flat we stayed Monday to Saturday, when we arrived we were greeted by Julie and shown round, all was great.

One thing we felt was that (but did not spoil our holiday) there was two much furniture as it's for couples it definitely didn't need the huge red chair or the small coffee table as plenty of seats for two ,by removing these it would give more space and less to trip over especially at night when heading to and from the bathroom. Our stay from the Monday to the Wednesday was heavenly the bed is just fabulous, the thing is for these times there was nobody in the bed and breakfast room above, but us some guests arrived on the Thursday the sound proofing is not great as you can hear all voices/chatting ( this in its self was not our issue) just that something needs to be done with the water supply as the toilet cistern is really, really loud and we hear every flush including the shower/bath and taps our main problem is that these guests were on the move at 5am and we were woken up from all the noise, plus the doors and the squeaky floorboards and stairs not great for a restful break away . Then this happened again 5:30am on Saturday. Had this occurred from day one we would have had to complain at the time . It's not fair for others wanting a lie in on their holidays. Plus all voices and TV can be heard very clearly. The flat was reasonably clean but a bit more attention to the bathroom lino area and cobwebs in windows, plus if you have panels on the walls they really need a dust every now and again these had not been done for months. The kitchen was just right but again to add space and not have a massive coffee maker on the worktop would help and the addition of a sharp knife and tongs for cooking would help. Good things are an amazingly comfortable bed great TV and sofa lovely great little courtyard area to sit outside and the proximity to the bus stop and St Fagans Museum is excellent.
