The property

Overlooking the village church this cosy holiday cottage in Mathry is a short walk from the local pub ‘The Farmers’ and just two miles from Abercastle beach.

The entrance leads to an open beamed ceiling Living/Dining area with a welcoming fire place.

The ground floor has the family bathroom with shower, wc and wash basin and the well equipped kitchen which enjoys views over the enclosed garden that is suitable for children and pets. On the second floor you will find a king size bedroom and a twin bed bedroom all with views out towards the village church. Mathry village is a great location to set up a base as it has access to the whole of Pembrokeshire and is a 15 minute drive to Britain’s smallest city St Davids.

St Davids has an array of Galleries, Eateries, Shops, pubs and of course the Cathedral.

From St Davids you are able to book a boat trip to Ramsey Island to enjoy the abundance of wildlife, book a coasteering experience or access the Pembrokeshire Coast path.

MATHRY

Trefin 3.1 miles; Fishguard 6.6 miles; St Davids 9.2 miles.

Situated on a hilltop on the south-west coast of Wales, is the little village of Mathry, in between notable villages of Fishguard and St Davids. History shows that this village was once a defensive fort in the Iron Age, positioned for early sightings of an enemy approach, nowadays it is a quiet village with beautiful views of the St Davids Peninsula visible from different spots in the village. To the west you will find the lovely coastline, and going south will bring you to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, with many opportunities for walks, cycling, and many other activities. Mathry is a quaint rural village, an ideal base for exploring south-west Wales.
