  • "Everything was good Except, we arrived on a Saturday to find no cloths of any kind, or kitchen roll."

The local shop did not sell them. The listing could have made it clear that we needed to bring our own cloths for wiping surfaces.

Corner Cottage provided a lovely base from which to explore the stunning Gower coast Well equipped with a great sunny patio which we enjoyed before and after our days out Local pub served brilliant food and the village is picturesque The small road by the cottage was a times busy with through traffic but it wasn’t problematic and at night there was complete silence A very comfortable stay

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Corner Cottage, we renamed it Cwtch corner cottage as it is so cozy, chillier early mornings were spent in the lounge with the fire on and snuggled up on the very comfortable sofas under a blanket!"

it’s in a lovely spot facing out onto the village green and our Golden Retriever puppy spent many a happy hour watching the sheep nibbling the grass and then trotting past the cottage, the window sill in the main bedroom is low so he could sit and see the world go by. The cottage has everything that you need for your stay and will happily accommodating people. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a huge oven, small dishwasher, washer dryer in the utility room and a fridge with freezer compartment. Parking is at the front of the cottage with room for one car. The parking to the rear (immediately outside the kitchen window) is for the cottage next door. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the third twin which is a mezzanine above the kitchen provided our teenager with a great space to chill out. The bath upstairs is large is great for a relaxing soak after a day out at the beach or walking and there is a decent shower in the downstairs shower room. For rainy days or quieter evenings there is a chess set, piano with a Beatles sheet music book, a puzzle and a great selection of books and DVD’s. The outside space runs to the side of the cottage and the patio is a nice place to sit and watch the sheep going about their daily routines. Just opposite the cottage is a public footpath that we used to take out our dog, he loved paddling in the brook and we walked him through the fields. Care needs to be taken as their is livestock roaming about. We found that the first part of the walk was dog friendly with stiles that can be walked through, but when you reach a small road and move into another footpath, the stiles are the climb over sort and not suited to trying to lift a nine month old retriever over or other large dog. Great local shop in the village selling a good variety of products and local delicacies. This is also the Post Office too. The King Arthur pub is well frequented and although we didn’t stay for a drink due to the ongoing COVID situation, Grandma enjoyed a takeaway coffee. Oxwich is the nearest beach and is great for rockpooling, swimming, stand up paddle boarding and is very dog friendly. There is a hotel on the beach with a good restaurant and also a shop and other eating facilities. We will return to Corner cottage I’m sure.

  • "A great cottage perfectly located for our wedding at the King Arthur."

There were six adults, however the bedroom on the mezzanine was accessed via a steep ladder which I was afraid to climb. So I would recommend this as a 4 berth cottage.

  • "Great location for walking."

So beautiful. Lovely cottage which was perfect for 5 of us (all adults) and a dog. Clean, warm and lots of board games. Only down side was the drains were slow and the upstairs bathroom needed a double flush. Apart from that it was perfect!

  • "Great little cottage, well equipped and helpful owner!"

Excellent base for visiting the beautiful Gower, with a good pub around the corner (although they don’t take dogs!).

  • "As it states in the write up- the cottage is on a busy corner which can make crossing the road to your car ,at times, quite difficult."

The cottage is quite sound proof when windows are closed and when you are sitting in the garden it’s entertaining to watch the vehicles negotiating the narrowing lanes. The sitting area is a lovely sun trap.

  • "We had lovely weather."

The cottage is a good size with a lovely kitchen/diner. Outside space is limited and not private being next to a bottleneck in the road through the village, but it is a sun trap. The kitchen is well equipped, making home cooking easier. However the cooking range is elderly and some of the control knobs come off making it a bit hit and miss with accuracy. The cottage, linens and furnishings were all clean. But the windows hadn’t been cleaned for some time and the paintwork within the cottage needs refreshing. The village is very pretty and it’s a short and pleasant walk up to a pub serving food. We always managed to park opposite the cottage, but parking is on a first come basis so that might not always be possible. ********** Owner response ********** Thank you for your feedback, we have now replaced the cooker with a new one.

  • "We have had a lovely stay with a lovely welcome package, the only downside is the traffic the cottage sits right on the road on a corner, it does get quite noisy at times with cars backing up as there is something coming the other way."

Other than that though no complaints at all
