Description

Narberth 10 miles, Fishguard 11 miles, Cardigan 16 miles.

Y Gweithdy Rhos Eirin is a charming, single-storey holiday home in the perfectly placed village of Maenclochog, Pembrokeshire.

This home boasts stunning countryside views and handy off-road parking, making it the perfect base for explorers, whether you’re a couple, friends, or a solo traveller.

On arrival, the parking is ample and easy, meaning you can set off on foot or venture further afield throughout your stay.

Inside, the open-plan living space has everything you need for a self-catering break, with a kitchen equipped with an oven, hob, fridge, and microwave and a lovely dining table to enjoy it at.

The sitting area features a plush sofa, a Smart TV for your evening entertainment.

The space is filled with light thanks to the patio doors facing the sweeping green Preseli Hills, which gives a lovely and private feel to the property.

Out of the doors is an open patio with a barbecue, should you fancy meals in the fresh air in the milder months.

When it’s time to rest, the bedroom hosts a zip-link kingsize bed, giving you the option of a twin or 5ft wide and 6ft 3” length bed set-up.

Finishing off the home is a shower room where you can freshen up ahead of your daily adventures.

The village of Maenclochog was listed by The Times as one of the 20 best secret villages to live in within the UK in September 2024 and is home to award winning Caffi’r Sqwar which was nominated as the most welcoming café in Wales in September 2023 according to the Welsh Enterprise Awards.

It also hosts a pub and a shop, so you won’t need to venture far to stock up or enjoy an evening tipple; further shops and amenities can be found in Fishguard, Narberth and Haverfordwest, should you need them.

Within reach is the iconic Tafan Sinc, a popular choice amongst locals for some Welsh cuisine.

The disused Rosebush Quarry is popular with wild swimmers seeking a chilly dip and the night skies are dark giving stargazers a great view.

When you’re off exploring, you can find Llys-y-frân Reservoir and Rosebush Reservoir nearby for idyllic circular walks.

Located within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, there is a walk from just behind the house that featured in the BBC series Weatherman Walking and takes in Foel Cwmcerwyn (1759ft) which is the highest point in Pembrokeshire, the Golden Road, Rosebush Slate Quarry as well as Tafran Sinc.

Finally, savour the coastal walks and beaches slightly further afield.

Enjoy the best of South Wales’ countryside and coast with a stay at Y Gweithdy Rhos Eirin.

We had good communications with the owners before our arrival.

Upon arrival the owner made us feel welcomed and gave us a quick guide to the property. The accomodation itself was very well maintained, in a lovely quiet location where you can unwind at your leisure. There's a nice cafe in the village that does great breakfasts and lunches. The location is also good for visiting other parts of Pembrokeshire, with the use of your own car. We really enjoyed our stay at Rhos Erin cottage.

This is a lovely cottage in a great location and a very warm welcome from the hosts, including some delicious homemade bread.

Had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy. What a wonderful view from the sitting room area! Thank you
