Spend the day in Bridgend, which is just a short drive away; here, there is plenty to explore, from the 13th century castle ruins to the many local shops, eateries and pubs.

Take a stroll along the River Ogmore and find the ancient bridge, or make a day of it and explore the nearby beaches and attractions.

Porthcawl is well worth a visit, offering a selection of eateries, pubs, and a local museum.

The town also offers walks along the sea front and access to the lovely coastal walks, a delightful sandy beach with watersports activities, and a golf course where you can try out a game or two.

A lovely house, just right for two parents, two young kids and a dog.

Really comfy, spacious and only 20-40mins from anywhere we wanted to visit. Owners were really responsive to my queries before and during the stay.
