Gwyddno Lodge

Gwyddno Lodge was a great base for our holiday.

The house has a bedroom and shower room upstairs perfect for Granny and Grandad, downstairs Mum, Dad and their 2 children used 2 bedrooms and a large bathroom. The open plan living room was a perfect size for the whole family and much nicer than the photos! There was also a utility with washer and dryer and plenty of room for sandy body boards etc. The house was very well equipped and the welcome pack was very generous and included some delicious homemade Welsh cakes. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely consider returning.

Very good Accommodation, clean , comfortable, and spacious.

Could benefit from a few baking sheets in the kitchen as it was difficult to cook pizzas etc. Mobile phones didn’t work well, even with Wi-Fi calling very poor signal, perhaps should be mentioned as some people do rely on them. On the whole we had a lovely time and enjoyed the cottage and the area.

It was our second stay and was just as good as we'd remembered it.

The property was very clean and well equipped for our needs. The welcome pack was very good and the flowers were a lovely addition.

Wonderful cottage in excellent condition with everything you could need.

Wine was much appreciated and Welsh cakes were very tasty. Very handy for getting to all the places we wanted to go to. It was a heatwave when we were there and it was lovely to sit out on an evening in the peaceful surroundings.

We found the property immaculate and in a nice position near a farm with cows.

We had an absolutely fantastic holiday at Gwyddno lodge.

There was lots of parking and outdoor space. The living area was very big but also cosy. The kitchen was very well equipped also. It was a heatwave during our stay so we were very lucky. We visited several places in the area such as Tenby, Folly Farm, Picton Castle and Carew Castle. On the day we were due to leave my car had a flat battery and the owner was very kind and helpful with the situation. Her husband came to help and a neighbour and we were finally on our way. I would definitely recommend Gwyddno lodge, many thanks

This is the second time I have stayed at Gwyddno Lodge.

The room and facilities are very comfortable and the area is perfect for touring the many attractions Pembroke and its coast have to offer. The Lodge itself is in a quiet and peaceful oasis. Perfect to relax and wind down and enjoy your holiday experiences in the knowledge you can come back after a busy day of walking or exploring to a warm comfortable accommodation.After two holidays in the area I feel there is still more to see and do within easy reach of Gwnddo and look forward to coming back again in the future.

We stayed at this beautiful cottage for 4 nights.

Absolutely fabulous place, decorated to a high standard with every comfort possible. Well laid out with outside furniture included. Great location as well,even though it's next to a road there isn't a lot of traffic. Kath was a great host and very helpful. We will definitely be returning to this place. Highly recommend.

Gwyddno Lodge exceeded our expectations.

A large, comfortable, warm home which wrapped around you like a cwtsh. Comprehensively equipped in every aspect. We had the most awful weather but it didn't matter because Gwyddno Lodge wa a lovely, quiet place to relax and unwind.

Really cosy and warm, especially with the underfloor heating. Lots of outdoor space. Kitchen really well kitted out. Bedrooms cosy. Close to lots of things to do. Can't fault it at all.

The cottage is perfect in every way with a very warm heating system and a log burner adds to the ambience but is not needed for heat output .

.So well equipped especially the kitchen and with space for storage across the whole cottage. Location is very private and plenty to see and do within a 10 mile radius with and odd trip a little further.The outside area is safe and fantastic for all the family . Definitely a cottage you could keep returning to as it was so homely.Well done to the owners for the standard achieved as a 5 star ratings does not quite cover it .The welcome basket was very comprehensive and the Welsh cakes vanished with our first cup of tea during unloading the car a few metres from the door.

Owners have thought of everything to accommodate guests,plenty of crockery,cutlery etc.The underfloor heating was great,the log burner was lovely too and well used throughout the week because weather wasn't brilliant.Also a very generous welcome pack was left and very much appreciated.Would we stay again? Absolutely!!! Recommended place to stay for sure,will keep it on our favourites list .

We had a fantastic week at Gwyddno Lodge.

The cottage itself is fantastic and spacious, and felt like home from the minute we walked through the door. There is a handy utility room when you walk in, which is great for wet kit and muddy shoes. Two downstairs bedrooms are great if someone has limited mobility. The owners had left a welcome pack for us which was much appreciated. The location is perfect for many amazing coastal walks including, Pendine Sands, Amroth to Saundersfoot, Barafundle Bay, Tenby and more. We had a brilliant week, and would certainly come again.

Fantastic property in a beautiful location with a warm homely feel.

It's a well equipped property with plenty of space inside and out as we were a family of six adults and a infant It's set in a lovely location with in easy reach of all the attractions of saundersfoot and Tenby

We think this property is very suitable if you have anyone with special needs as it is in a very quiet (though very accessible) location and close enough to the good beaches and castles/towns that most would probably visit.

It is large enough with outdoor space to accommodate a large family easily - highly recommended.

A very comfortable, clean and well equipped barn conversion in a rural setting, yet not too far from the coast.

There was a lovely welcome pack awaiting us. Communication with Kath was great! She had thought of absolutely everything and we couldn’t ask for more. There is a spacious living room and kitchen and lots of areas outside to sit and enjoy the sun.It was lovely and cosy inside. We will definitely return someday!

Lovely cottage in a quiet rural area.

The owners had thought of everything and had supplied plenty of games etc to keep us occupied. The kitchen was well stocked and we were left a lovely welcome pack of Welsh cakes, coffee and flowers.

We had a lovely week - very warm and comfortable.

The property was spotlessly clean and a lovely welcome pack was provided. We really enjoyed watching the birds. Easy to get to coastal locations nearby.

Fantastic, well-equipped cottage which worked really well for us as a family of 4 holidaying with grandparents, as two bedrooms downstairs, one upstairs.

The cottage has a beautiful open plan living area opening onto patio which gives it a lovely relaxing feel. We loved having lots of room outside for the kids to play (bonus being the little swing/slide set). Would definitely recommend this property.

Gwyddno Lodge was very comfortable, clean and spacious.

Kath had left us lots of lovely goodies on our arrival including wine, coffee, bread and yummy Welsh cakes. A great location to explore from. We really enjoyed our stay.

This is a beautifully maintained barn.

The interior is immaculate, the fixtures and fittings are in first class condition, and the kitchen is provided with everything you might need. If future holiday makers like rural living with minimal contact with neighbours then this is ideal. However, be aware, the nearest shops are about four miles away, and as there is no walking from the accommodation, you'll be starting each day in the car. The owners deserve much credit for the way this property is presented. Thank you.

A nice rural location with plenty of parking, a great location for visiting many beautiful locations. The wine & homemade welshcakes were a lovely added bonus.

One of the nicest places we have ever stayed in ,and believe me , we've stayed in many holiday rentals over the years!

It was clean and comfortable and cosy. Generous with the logs, the heating and a thoughtful bunch of daffodils along with lovely goodies ... homemade Welsh cakes a bonus ! It is spacious, so would be fine to share ( thinking about bringing our son and wife next time) , and outside area includes an easily accessed terrace and gas barbecue and safe area for children to play.

Gwyddno Lodge is a very cosy and well equipped cottage set in a pleasant rural location near to the coast.

We were impressed with the sparkling cleaniless of the cottage and the warm welcome we received. We were unfortunate with the weather but the comfort and warmth of the cottage more than made up for this. We would certainly recommend this property to others.

A lovely holiday cottage - the photos don’t do it justice.

Much bigger than it looks. The outdoor area is lovely - we spent every evening eating dinner and playing games with the kids on the sunny patio. Great location for our favourite beaches - Barafundle and Freshwater East. Would highly recommend.

Lovely holiday home that feels like home & feels spacious. The location is perfect for the whole south west area. We would definitely like to return & highly recommended this property. It was very clean & well equipped & was hard to leave. It was our first trip to Wales & we have fallen for the area. We would like to buy a property similar to this & retire shortly & this holiday has made us look at the Narberth area. Nearby Tenby was beautiful & Narberth just a few mins drive away was nice with a good vibe plus large carpark with 5hrs parking for only £2.50! Plenty of pubs & eateries there.

Very nice, clean and well equipped property.

Lovely welcome pack was much appreciated thank you. The twin bedroom was very near the road which was a bit noisy with head lights shining into the room. The blinds are not enough to keep the lights out. Apart from that we had a very enjoyable stay.

Plenty of room for five adults. First day was chilly so we lit the fire. A novelty for us! We even had a takeaway curry delivered from Saab in Narbeth They persevered with the lack of signals till they found us waiving at the top of the drive. Well done them! All great fun. and worth the effort. Lots of places to visit within easy reach.

The cottage was lovely and cosy with a really nice outside space.

Closer to the road than we realised as this isn't mentioned in your description of the property. Not a big problem as the road isn't too busy but the children's room is roadside! The only issue we had was that we woke up on Friday morning to find a van, a pick up truck and a JCB parked on the drive way . There were four men and a chain saw ready to chop down trees from the property, shame we weren't notified about this!

This is our 2nd visit to this property and we were not disappointed.

It is everything you would wish for, comfortable, well equipped, warm throughout and well positioned for many of the beaches, walks and towns which can be found nearby without the need to drive miles. The open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area is ideal for a sociable evening after an enjoyable day out. The entrance lobby is large, handy for hanging numerous coats and storing dirty shoes and the large utility room provides extra storage as well. Overall and excellent property and one we shall almost certainly be returning to again.

Another gem of a holiday home in a lovely part of Wales.

Excellent location for all local beaches and with other amenities and attractions close by, we did very little driving on all of our day's out. The cottage itself was brilliantly laid out with the open plan living perfect for us all to be together whatever was going on. The cottage was well equipped and we enjoyed the goodies waiting for us when we arrived. We have never been in a property where every room was a consistent cosy temperature, it was just lovely.

Very spacious, very comfortable and offered everything we needed. (Including Welsh cakes and wine) Many thanks! Great base for exploring the lovely Pembrokeshire coast. Highlights were Tenby, Wisemans Bridge and Saundersfoot...World Rowing Championships on so a very International small town. There were just two of us on this trip but the accommodation is perfect for families or groups of up to six. Highly recommend.

The instructions given by Sykes to find cottage were wrong.

Also specified no dogs but at the cottage there was lots of info concerning when taking your dog ie, vets,dog friendly beachs, etc. The cottage itself was the best we have ever had. Nice touch of fresh flowers on the table and even better fresh homemade welshcakes left by the owners.First time we have never had to light the log burner as the underfloor heating kept the cottage cosy.All the equipment and appliances were first class. The only bad point were the swarms of black flies on the outside of the cottage which meant you could not open the windows or leave a door open.

Clean and very comfortable. Plenty of equipment/cutlery/plates/cups and glasses etc. Great outdoor space, well attended to and clean. We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was a great location for access to lots of places around Pembrokeshire.

This is a lovely cottage with everything you could need except enough hot water for everyone to take a shower, we had to time our showers and be very careful so that everyone at least had some warm water, it was very dissapointing.

I must also also say that there was a thump, thump, thump noise that went on all night (I think it had something to do with the central heating as the towel rails in the bathrooms were warm). The noise became really annoying and disturbed my sleep even though I had earplugs in, so another dissapointment in an otherwise lovely cottage.

Loved the house, grandsons loved the garden .

Great space, easy access for parking. Countryside around was restful for us all and we enjoyed the whole stay!! May well stay again!

Excellent accommodation for 4 adults and 2 twin 5 year olds.

The large area of garden and the swings and slide proved a hit with the children when they had a bit of time in the mornings before heading off for the day and before bath time. Facilities were the best we've experienced; more plates, bowls, cups, mugs, glasses, knives, forks, spoons and other kitchen tools than we really needed. Good layout of open kitchen, dining and sitting areas downstairs. TVs in all bedrooms which were superfluous to our needs but no doubt, would be enjoyed by others. The location was ideal for us too with good beaches in Saundersfoot and entertainment for the 5 year olds at Folly Farm, Dinosaur World and others, all nearby. Gwyddno Lodge to be recommended.

Property as advertised, excellent location providing good access to the coast and local walks.

There were just the two of us staying however, the property when fully occupied would still feel spacious and comfortable.

Was hard to find as property name was set back from road and partly obscured by grass and photo not taken from road.

Cottage itself was very comfy , well appointed and lovely patio to sit out on. Plenty of space and we did love the cottage.Only real problem was that dishwasher not working, and although host was notified of this on Sunday, he took 3 days to notify us that repairman would come. However repairman never came and we heard nothing further from owner. Hands now nice and soft from washing up!

We had a lovely time at Gwyddno Lodge beautiful setting, particularly enjoyed the garden area with good quality seating and bbq.

The cottage is well equipped and was very clean. Would highly recommend. Great area of Wales to explore particularly the stunning coastline.

Excellent property.

We loved our stay.wifi worked great it was only texting and calls that were not available as property is so isolated. We just WhatsApp and we were fine.the owners had thought of everything that you may need.extremely warm and cosy and plenty of room for 6 people. Plenty of Parking too.we would definitely go back if we wanted to be in that area of Pembrokeshire.

An excellent cottage, comfortable, in an excellent location for easy travel across Pembrokeshire and very well equipped.

It was generally very clean however there were some very large and obvious cobwebs and the internet service was intermittent.

The house met our expectations in every way.

It was in a quiet location while being close to the bustling little town of Narberth. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone wishing to visit this area of Wales.

Only comment (and this really is a minor point) is that the WiFi wasn't strong enough to stream on demand television.

Accommodation was excellent with all the facilities a family could require.

The Lodge had good outdoor facilities for eating and relaxing. Conveniently situated for visits to Narberth and the coast and set in beautiful countryside.

Gwyddno Lodge is a beautiful converted barn and much larger in real life than it looks on the photos.

We were welcomed with a lovely chilled bottle of wine, flowers and some Welsh cakes . Although we had brought everything with us, tea, coffee, sugar and even milk were waiting for us! My little girl was pleasantly surprised to find lots of grass to play on and the hidden gem of a swing and slide, which we were not expecting. The sun is always present due to the positioning of both gardens! We slept wonderfully as the beds were so comfortable. The towels were soft and smelt delicious. The whole place was immaculately clean. There was lovely patio furniture for us to eat outside on in the sun and lots of books, DVDs and board games provided . A little tub was provided to place anything we had read or used, due to covid . We had a lovely holiday in a very relaxing setting , with some very friendly cows that came to say hello one day! Would definitely recommend!

Very comfortable well equipped cottage.

Nice welcome pack of milk, wine and Welsh cakes. Beautiful gardens with plenty of room for all.We have stayed in a number of holiday homes and this exceeded all of them in every respect.

We are regular visitors to Gwyddno Lodge.

As always, the house was beautifully clean on arrival and had everything we needed for our stay. We’re looking forward to booking again :-).
