A couple’s retreat resting in Aldeburgh, Suffolk, 53 Tern Cottage is close to the beach and town centre.
Park a short distance from the property and enter into a quaint terrace cottage, where you will be drawn to relax in an open-plan living area with a selection of sofas beneath artwork decorating the walls, a dining table for two and an amply fitted kitchen where you can enjoy cooking together.
When sleep calls, take a refreshing shower or a soak amongst the bubbles in the bathroom before snuggling up for the night in the double bedroom.
Morning coffee can be had in the courtyard.
The local area of Aldeburgh has so much to offer, so venture from the tows of colourful terrace cottages and discover independent shops selling local produce, pubs, restaurants and cafes perfect for a romantic meal for two or catch up on the latest blockbusters at the local cinema.
Visiting the beach is a must, where walks in the sea air can be enjoyed with your significant other, as well as watersports and perhaps even wild swimming.
For more walks visit Haven Nature Reserve or the Snape coastal path where you can enjoy coastal views an immerse yourself in nature.

Tern Cottage 'does the job': it's small, it has what you need and it makes for a pleasant stay in Aldeburgh.
For someone of my age (68), the stairs need to be treated carefully; however, they are fine if you keep your wits about you. It was amusing that in a two-person cottage there were two mugs in the cupboard (there are now three), but I suppose it keeps you disciplined with the washing-up. The best feature of the cottage is its position, set between the sea and the High Street: you are truly spoilt. We enjoyed our stay there; it's worth taking on for a week.
A great base for a short break - super close to both the seafront and the high street, so great for wandering about and sampling all the pleasures Aldeburgh has to offer.
The property is well-decorated and comfortable, although the stairs are very steep, so not great for anyone with knee issues!

1minute from the sea, and one minute from the high street, the ideal base to explore this part of Suffolk. Aldeburgh is a little gem in the coastline. Tern Cottage is clean, smart and modernised. Ideal base for two people.
