Excellent facilities peaceful location well situated for the town comfy beds would book again

The accommodation was centrally situated in Aldeburgh and quite secluded.

It was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances, cutlery and crockery. The bathrooms were looking a little tired and would benefit from some minor repairs and TLC. We enjoyed our family getaway and it is well placed for walking and also venturing further to explore more of Suffolk.

Great position in the village and would probably book again as the price reflects the standard -which is not the standard we normally have with best of Suffolk properties The mattresses were very very soft and the duvets were lumpy.

The finish around the property is quite poor and the furniture in the sitting room has definitely seen better days. The chairs around the dining table were uncomfortable However, that said we had a great week and would consider booking again with the only factors being the price and the location

The location of Peach House is very convenient to Aldeburgh high street.

Having three en-suites rooms is exactly what we are looking for and this is probably our 6 year staying in Peach House and as a 3 couple group we find it’s suits us perfectly. As some of our group are getting a little older a hand hold in the bath for safety would be a good idea.

The accommodation is brilliant and also the location. Such a shame the house has become very tired and in need of some TLC. Lounge furniture definitely needs replacing and the garden is neglected. Would love to return but this lovely house deserves better.

In a perfect position in Aldeburgh - near shops, beach and lovely walks.

This was our second stay with our friend at Peach House.

We love the position, minutes from the beach, the off-road parking for two cars and the ensuite with each bedroom. The kitchen is a lovely space. We spent most time there because the sofas in the sitting room are uncomfortable. The house looked more tired than last year, with more scuffs and water marks to the paintwork, loose tiles in the bathrooms (mentioned by many previous visitors), and a taped up dishwasher. The damaged loo seat in the master ensuite, first mentioned in 2023, had been "fixed" with mastic. That repair has now failed. I know how quickly spiders can spin their webs, but I don't think the windows had been cleaned for some time. Reluctantly, we won't be booking this property for next year, but I will be following the reviews hoping to see that Peach House receives the overhaul it deserves.

We loved our stay at Peach House.

Right in town but quiet. Lots of room for the six of us plus small dog. Well equipped and super comfortable. Great to have an en suite for each bedroom.

Our family have been staying at Peach House for the past ten years.

The property is in a great location, has lots of space and has ample parking. This last visit it became apparent that the property is in need of some TLC. There have been leaks in two of the en-suite bathrooms and these need to be decorated. The sofa in the living room has no padding left in the cushions and is extremely uncomfortable to sit on (it’s the same sofa from when we first visited Peach House ten years ago). The cleanliness of the property wasn’t great. A strong smell of fish as we entered the property, dust behind the beds and the sofa had hairs and fluff under the seat cushions. There are signs placed on the beds requesting that guests follow government guidelines and to strip the beds before leaving the property. These guidelines were put in place during COVID. However, the government guidelines no longer exist. As a family we are happy to assist but I think it’s only right that the property should be cleaned to a higher standard.

The fridge is too small to accommodate all the fresh food one might expect to bring on holiday especially if planning to cook a few meals during the stay.

The choice of utensils a cookware was also limited. I had to buy a few items to cook the planned meals (wok, slotted spoon and pepper). Fans in the bedrooms would be a welcome addition. A sliding gate to make the garden secure for dogs would also be very helpful. Otherwise very nice indeed!

The Peach House is beautiful and feels like a home rather than just a holiday home.

We appreciated the little touches and all the furniture and equipment - thank you! The location is ideal for exploring Aldeburgh and our stay was excellent - cosy despite the poor weather! We did feel that there were a few areas of maintenance and repair to be undertaken that would make the Peach House perfect - some of the tiles in the largest bedroom en suite were loose, and the showers could benefit from a deep clean. These aren't showstoppers and hopefully can be completed in the quieter months. We look forward to returning soon :)

Peach House was a lovely place in which to base ourselves for a week in Aldeburgh.

The location is ideal since it is one road back from the seafront and has a long drive so that it is peaceful and private. We didn't move the car all week since the seafront, all walks, the shops and the smokeries are right on your doorstep. The house was spotlessly clean with some wear and tear in the showers but no more than in a normal home. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the host was very responsive when we wanted to let ourselves in early. Aldeburgh is a wonderful place for a holiday and we would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Only small problem was no hand shower in the bathroom - wet hair unavoidable! Thank you for a great stay.

Good property usually.

7th stay. Unfortunately lack of communication meant a plumber turned up one morning expecting the property to be empty so he could do 2 days work on the boiler. He asked to do make a repair and we allowed him in for 3 hrs while we went for a walk. An email arrived from Skyes as he was leaving. I rang but totally unsatisfied with explanation. They said they would ring to check all ok but didn't. The boiler stopped working day before leaving. I emailed Sykes, no reply.

Great location, well equipped but could do with some updating in bathrooms and a fresh coat of paint throughout.

If updates were made to decor and tiling fixed in bathrooms this would be a 5 star property Unfortunately the pipe issue resulted in us losing a day but the service and support was exemplary from Best of Suffolk.

Very comfortable and well equipped.

Slight problem with mould caused by condensation in the middle bedroom's bathroom. Problem with door handle in 3rd bedroom's bathroom. Someone got locked in twice and had to be let out from the other side. It would have been nice if the heating had been set to come on before our arrival instead of after.

Peach House was perfect for our needs - three couples (and a dog) celebrating a birthday.

Three double bedrooms, all with en-suites are difficult to find and the beds were very comfortable. The house is in a great location in Aldeburgh near the beach, shops, pubs and restaurants. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return. One minor point to make is that glass bottles and jars must not be put in the recycling bin. We didn't realise at first and as they are put in our recycling bin at home we started putting them in and had to remove them again! Although there was a note in the information folder, perhaps a note by the recycling timetable in the kitchen would be helpful?

We’ve all stayed here friends together and separately at other times with family.

We’ve stayed in The Peach House a few times over recent years.

Overall it’s been fine & the layout & position suits us. There is an air of neglect about the garden now. Unkempt & weedy. Shrubs in dire need of control. Grass uncut. Exterior woodwork in need of attention. Interior needs a repaint. A small thing but the ‘Henry’ vacuum cleaner was absolutely chock full..I managed to remove some of the bag content but a new bag needed..I dare say the owners are considering a general overhaul.. I met them a few years ago & they seemed quite pleasant..I wish you & them well. Edward Jowett

We did have a very enjoyable holiday at The Peaches.

We have been here once before in April and will probably come again next year. The beds were very comfortable and in general the place was very warm and cosy but, and these aren't complaints but comments/observations on Peach House. The area around the showers where water had come through needs looking at as it is taking the paint off the walls. The toilet seat in the main bedroom is coming away and needs fixing. I know they had trouble with one of the showers which does show up on the kitchen ceiling quite badly. I also feel that the TV is very old and really needs replacing with a bigger screen. I know we don't go on holiday to watch TV but nearly everywhere awe have stayed in the last few years has a much better TV. None of these things would put us off going back again but I really feel the time is right to give the place a makeover and sort out some of these problems. I shan't be giving it a bad review as I would like to go there again next year. Thank you

We have stayed at Peach House several times, and always enjoyed it.

You can't actually see the sea, but it's only a short walk to the Moot Hall area of beach. The house is well-furnished, the cupboards well-stocked, and the kitchen is well-equipped. Housekeeping has always been excellent. There is a separate fire in the main room for cold spells/evenings, plus a good range of children's toys and books there. Outside is not quite so suitable for younger children: no contained space for toddlers, or play things, and there is an enticing but potentially dangerous spiral staircase) But there are a table and chairs for adults. I would advise you to bring eye-masks. The bedroom window coverings are attractive but let though light. Our bedroom faced the morning sun early on. Peach House is in a central position (easy to walk in to town too), nicely luxurious with its en suite bathrooms and wide beds, and a happy holiday base.
