What guests are saying
The cottage is quaint and quirky but is in the wrong location.
The traffic noise from the A12 is constant 24/7, both inside the house and outside in the garden. This meant we were unable to open windows or sit and relax in the garden. The doorways being short also caused a problem when we forgot to duck. The driveway is awkward to get into as we have a large car hence parking in the church carpark on occasions. We vacated the property early due to these problems.
The Old Custom House is quirky.
Being short i had no problem but others in the party had a few bumped heads...one actually skinning the top of the head... they didn't duck enough !!! The beds & bedding were very comfortable & the bathrooms were very good. The spiral staircase is steep going down, so care should be taken, it was a lot easier coming up. The only problem was some of the decking which was a tad raised in places, so could cause a tripping hazard but it's probably a work in progress !!! All in all we had a great time & lots of memories were made.
Lovely house and gardens - had everything we needed apart from a frying pan - which wasn't a real problem at all - lovely welcome pack and nicely situated for the coastal area of Suffolk
