Your cottage was lovely, was well equipped with everything you need. Most of all it had really comfy seating and beds and was really cleaned before our stay. I will be coming back for another stay soon .Thanks Diane five stars

The cottage is set in a central village location, with basic facilities close by.

Accommodation was comfortable, with good room size and the bonus of a separate dining room. The kitchen was very well-equipped and the appliances worked well. Nice to have a separate laundry area in the conservatory. Would use again.

A lovely cottage with plenty of space and a lovely garden to relax in.

The owner provided lots of information and we enjoyed our stay. The shower upstairs is very powerful and great for washing long hair. The upstairs could benefit from some blackout curtains as the rooms were very light.

Property was spacious and comfortable in lovely quiet location.

It was well equipped and a generous amount of towels supplied. There was a fish and chip shop and Chinese in village both within walking distance. There were also two convenience stores. Only disappointing thing we found was some areas needed a deep clean. Would recommend this cottage.

Myself and a colleague stayed here for almost two weeks whilst working at nearby Thetford Forest and the cottage had everything we needed.

We loved this place.

It is exactly as advertised: a charming home in a small English village. A perfect place to relax and explore the villate.

, My family are keen plane spotters so being close to the American Bases was ideal, Village location with a Chinese across the road . There was a chip shop but I didn’t open the whole 2 weeks we were there . The only thing we found was the Speeding Tractors going up and down the road . We will definitely be returning again.

It was a lovely cottage & very comfortable & homely.

It was well maintained & well equipped. Everything we needed was there. It was well placed, with many attractions within about an hour's drive. There was not a great deal in the village, but we made use of the Chinese takeaway & fish & chip shop. Both of which had very good quality food & service. One warning, the Chinese is cash only. It was so good, our granddaughter asked if we could stay.

This was our second stay at violet cottage and would recommend it to friends and family members .

Perfect location and amenities. Really felt like a home from home. Appreciated the use of washer/dryer as on a multi trip. Host very welcoming.

This is a very nice and family friendly property, lots of room and bigger than you think, just a personal opinion is that there is no door to separate the living room and dining room, but not an overall problem, love to book this place again in the future.

Beautiful, quaint cottage - well appointed, comfortable and maintained.

Made our stay to see our grandchildren quite enjoyable - we felt as though this was our own home away from home. Furnished with everything you need. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Instruction book and small notes around the cottage were very helpful.

One of the best Sykes holiday cottages .

More in the village then we thought there would be , also a bus service which was great as we like to leave the car and my husband can have a pint .

Details need updating no Skye tv only free view, downstairs not too bad but upstairs needs attention, the double bedroom could do with a good fettle as all the upstairs, bedroom with the single beds isn’t good for adults.

There was plenty of pots and pans in the kitchen.

nice place ,plenty see in the area only down side was lack of places near by to eat out .

Enjoyed the American planes going over every morning great place if you are in to military planes spotting. other wise quiet and restful.

A comfortable cottage in a pleasant village. Well-equipped cottage with a nice garden and good facilities in the village - two shops, post office, pub. Easy access to attractions in Norfolk.

A beautifully presented roomy property provided with everything you could need.

Handy for a well stocked shop as well as a takeaway and fish and chip shop. A helpful but unobtrusive owner who lives next door and a large sunny garden.

Lovey cottage in the heart of the village, comfortable and well equipped the only criticism is the master bedroom bed was only a double so quite narrow & soft for our tastes.

The conservatory is excellent for drying clothes as we found out after several wet days! SPAR shop in village has everything you need. Neither of the pubs in village currently offer food, the Wellington does have "Street Food" vans call (look at board outside for dates). Indian restaurant in Lakenheath very good but popular so need to book and Chinese take away in village, 50 yds away, is good. The road outside the cottage can be busy so be careful exiting property. Some noise from the USAF base but not before 8am and finishes early evening however can be exiting watching fast fighter jets.

A little tired in places and strange layout took us few minutes to get our bearings.

But well prepared for a comfortable stay. Well placed to reach places. Good value for money. Downside was unable to get sky downstairs and had limited other channels. Was able to reset channels to get a few more, but less than at home. Lounge and bedroom are directly on roadside and closeness to lakenheath air base might disturb some looking for peace and quiet. But overall we enjoyed our stay thank you.

Lovely property with plenty of space for a family of 4 and everything we needed.

Plenty of clean towels, more than we needed but nice to have extras available. Double mattress in main bedroom was a little on the soft side for us, we prefer a firmer mattress. Older property so floors upstairs were quite creaky but didn't bother us and to be expected in am older property. Owner met us on arrival and was very friendly and helpful.

We had a wonderful week in Violet Cottage.

It is in a central location for visiting other towns and villages such as Thetford, Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, Ely, Diss and Norwich and Kings Lynn etc. A bonus with this cottage is that it is the only cottage (out of the 7 we stayed in) that has a cloths dryer and conservatory for drying cloths without using bathrooms which helped us enormously.

When we arrived we were very pleased with the accommodation.

The kitchen was lovely and bright with lots of equipment. The bedrooms were spacious, especially the master bedroom. The two bathrooms were very useful with having a 15 year old son, he used one we used the other one. Would definitely return. 5⭐️

Great cottage, ideally placed to visit 3 counties.

Very quiet village with good amenities. We had a fabulous holiday and spent every day out visiting various attractions.

An excellent property, great value for money, fully equipped with essentials plus the added luxuries such as full size bath towels and TV with Sky in every room!

Having 2 bathrooms is a lovely bonus and the upstairs shower was fab. Plenty of parking for our 2 cars. We only had a short 2 night stay but would certainly have no hesitation in returning.

Quite a nice property, very clean and comfortable.

The bed was a bit soft for us.

It was difficult to come out of the driveway, hard to see traffic coming from the left and right and hard for traffic to see us. Its a busy road with large lorries going up and down it. Perhaps aome mirrors might be a good idea to make it easier to see traffic and for traffic to a car coming of the driveway. We enjoyed our stay, it warm abd comfortable and had everything we needed.

Lovely cottage, unfortunately the sofa's were on their last legs, as the springs had gone, this also applied to the double bed as we both kept rolling into the middle of it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in violet cottage, the owner Mrs crane (who we never met) has equipped it really well.

the location was good handy for everywhere we wanted to go, the village pub was very friendly and interesting, easy parking at the cottage and a beautiful garden. Only downsides for us was the furnishings we found them to be very dated , air fresheners in the wardrobe ??, also the cobwebs especially behind the dressing table.

The property was spotless and comfortable.

Everything that was needed to make our stay better was there. I would recommend this property to anyone and hopefully will use it again when we are down in the area.

The village was very welcoming and friendly. 5 minute walk to the fish and chip shop, pub and supermarket, 2 minutes to the Chinese takeaway .

A delightful owner - spoke on phone for key collection, was in garden and waved on our arrival, plus a couple of texts after departure, but otherwise we did not see her. Perfect break. Although they weren’t doing food, The Wellington pub (5 minute walk) was fabulous and so welcoming that we became “regulars” popping in for a couple of drinks after our days out.

It also has good car parking facilities. It was well equipped in the kitchen. The village has a pub although we did not use as they were not serving food. Chip shop and Chinese takeaway were good and there is a good children's playground

Couldn’t fault the cottage, plenty of everything, we couldn’t find anything that might be needed.

Cottage description good but fails to mention it is on a very busy road was expecting a quiet village location traffic was very loud with heavy trucks from 5am OK for us we were up early to go out but a family with children might be a problem.

This is a superb cottage with everything we needed and more!

The cottage was clean and comfortable.

Only one point - nowhere to plug in my hairdryer to do my hair in front of a mirror in the main bedroom. I had to do my hair and make-up in the conservatory with the mirror from the second bedroom. Feltwell village is lovely, the local pub The Wellington is excellent and serves great food. Be sure to visit St Nicholas' church - Saxon origins from 683! Large local playing field for running around (which we did). Two local shops and a great fish and chip shop.

We enjoyed our stay in Violet cottage and it catered for almost all our needs.

We needed a carving knife but the owner was quite happy to lend us one but apart from that everything we needed was in place. It was a short walk from a very welcoming pub which served excellent food.

This was our second visit to Violet Cottage and there will be a third!

Delightful and private getaway with large garden in the heart of the village. If you are wild bird lover then this is the place to be. With two bathrooms this suited our needs perfectly. Diane and Gordon are lovely hosts, friendly but not intrusive. Gordon was particularly Informative regarding all things local.

Our second visit to Violet cottage and we will be going back.

Property was very good for the money we paid.

It had all that we needed. Great village with good facilities.

In your advert you said there were three public houses in the village.

Unfortunately two have now closed down and consequently there is only the one left called The Wellington.

The cottage itself was fine but we didn't feel very welcome, generally.

The cottage was clean and more spacious than expected, however, there are serious problems with the internet and sky TV. The garden is actually a large garden which belongs to the owners who live next door and it really feels like their space. We could've overlooked this if the hosts had been a bit friendlier. We stayed for 4 weeks and didn't see them at all after moving in until the day we were moving out and then all the owner said was 'what time are you leaving? You can leave the keys in there'. There was no 'how was your stay' or thanks for staying. We were quite shocked and felt like they wanted our money but didn't really want us there. Very disappointing.

A beautiful cottage, ideally placed to visit Norwich, Ely, Thetford forest.

We had to leave early because the weather forecasts were on Amber warnings, so did not get to Kings Lynn and Suffolk. A good excuse to return at some time. The owners live next door but we're not obtrusive. All in all a good and comfortable retreat.
