Great location for the beach and local shops and of course a pub, the Sailors Home has great beer and a great outdoor space for your dog.

Mrs Schofield has everything covered in the house, we were short of nothing. The outdoor garden was ideal for our dog. I would recommend this cottage to anyone. Great week.

We have had the most delightfully relaxing long weekend at No 7.

Spotlessly clean and well equipped and in a perfect location for long walks on the beach, which was our key reason for choosing Kessingland. The only slight downside is that the bathroom is on the ground floor and for those with a ‘nighttime need’ it could be a little perilous negotiating the stairs when half asleep! Other than that, we would highly recommend this location for a hassle free dog friendly break.

Spotlessly clean and comfy. Lots of thoughtful gestures by the owner including a dog bath box with a cool blanket (we brought our own) but in a hot week was a lovely thought. Just 3 minute walk to the beach. Highly recommended and would book again. For dog owners Suffolk a great dog friendly part of the UK.

7. Very clean and comfortable with a great outdoor space to sit and relax (for dogs and humans). The owner was easily contactable and very helpful when I had a slight problem with locking the patio doors. The only minor point would be that it wasn’t made clear on the website that pets are not allowed to be bathed in the bathroom, which is a bit tricky if you go on a wet walk. Luckily the weather was hot and dry so it wasn’t a problem. I would definitely book again as the cottage is very handy for the beach.

location really good and bonus.....5 minutes walk to the local beach. lots of pretty places to visit along the coast which were not too far away. I queried about finding the property as you have to drive around the back, nothing was too much trouble for the owner, lovely lady, parking was also good at the end of the back garden. would definitely return.

The weather got a little cold, and the owner texted me to see if we were warm and if we needed the heating to be put up. 2 minute's walk to the beach. Also milk and things for the dog. Will be booking this cottage again.

Comfortable, quiet and right by the beach. Well equipped and even a box of kit to wash your dog with if required. Good communication from the owner who responded quickly when we had an issue with the heating. Nice area to go exploring.

This was our third stay and the cottage was just as warm and welcoming as it was before.

The owner, Jackie, has thought of everything you could possibly need and also left us a lovely box of Christmas treats. The beach is just minutes away from the cottage and our Golden Retriever loves his walks there. We look forward to staying here again.

We arrived in the dark which was a bit tricky but direction the Sykes website gave was great.

This is a lovely comfortable cottage with great facilities.

It's lovely and clean and there is everything you need for a home from home stay. The garden is great for the dog, nice and enclosed and secure and two minutes walk to the beach which she absolutely loved. There is a nice welcome pack and a very thoughtful touch is the box with dog shampoo and towels specifically for dog only use, very helpful when the dog has been in the sea. We found instructions for day of departure a bit prescriptive (strip beds, put bed linen here/towels here) especially when you can't arrive before 5pm but are still expected to leave by 10am but it wouldn't stop us from booking again. The owner was friendly and helpful.

WOW a fantastic holiday cottage 1st time to Herne Bay so lucky to have Alan and Michelle as our hosts the cottage was done out exquisitely everything top quality and the bed was amazing right on the sea front August is definately the month to go as entertainment daily for kids and adults.

All very close, beach literally 3 min away , other shops not far as well. Its very quiet area, so perfect for recharging and close enough if you want active rest. I would happily come back there as also its close enough , even for long weekend rest. Brilliant choice! Thank you very much

A great place to stay, great location & really well kitted out.

The gate at the bottom of the stairs is a real bonus for dog owners. We normally bring our own. The only downside is you have no control over the heating & have to contact the owner if you want it adjusted...never had this before... touch bizarre..

Owner very helpful. Generous welcome pack. Nice enclosed garden for the dogs. Short walk to the beach. Fantastic fish n chip shop a short walk away and the happy wok Chinese, very good food, just down the road, order online and it’s ready when you get there. This was our second visit and I’m sure we will be back.

We have stayed in many holiday cottages over the years (we are in our late 60s) and this was by far the best equipped home we have stayed in.

The enclosed garden is ideal for dogs and the cottage really is just 2 minutes walk from a lovely beach with dunes and a pub in close proximity. The owners were extremely helpful in helping us to prepare for our stay and they provided a lovely welcome pack for us and our dogs. A lovely restful break.

It’s our home from home for me and my sister, we are regular visitors, love the area, proximity to the beach for the dogs.

Lovely property, beautifully clean, comfortable and warm (we visited in January) with safe parking.

Kind welcome pack including dog treats and the dog cleaning box is a very thoughtful idea. The kitchen has everything you need for your stay. The property is located 2 min walk from the lovely beach and dunes, it is well placed to drive to the more well known villages. Supermarkets close drive and small supermarket is a 15 min walk from the house.

This house had everything we needed including bathing items for the dogs!

The little treats left for us when we arrived were lovely. The house was beautifully clean and had everything we could need for extra tidying etc. The garden was well fenced and big enough for dogs to ‘mooch’ about. Thank you very much for our very enjoyable stay. Sue

We had a lovely week at the cottage, the property was clean, comfortable and well equipped.

The enclosed garden was perfect for the dogs. The beach is a few minutes walk away as is the fish and chip shop which we can recommend. The chinese food from The Happy Wok was delicious. Supermarkets are a short drive away. Oulton Broad was worth a visit.

On arrival treats for adults and dog were provided, a lovely touch. Dog cleaning box a very good idea. The owners directions to the property were excellent straight to the parking allocation. Great location 2 min walk to the beach, 10 mins to the pub or chippy.

Great cottage in a perfect location.

Garden ideal for the dog to run around. Everything you needed was available. Two minutes to the beach and five minutes to a pub. Also excellent fish and chip restaurant a couple of minutes away. Perfect spot for exploring the Suffolk coastline

The property was a delightful cottage which was in a great location and contained everything you would need for a comfortable stay here.

It was a real home from home. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone who wanted to stay here. And the welcome pack was a lovely surprise, our dog Ozzy enjoyed his dog treats very much.

The cottage was perfect for our needs, very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped.

Just a short walk to the beach too. We would recommend The Waterfront restaurant for delicious and very well priced food (probably best to book) and Covehithe, about 10 minutes drive, a hidden gem! Park by the old church, then a lovely footpath through barley fields and a nature reserve area to the beach (no facilities there). Kessingland is an easy drive to Southwold and Aldburgh, both worth a visit too.

Kessingland is nice village and close to some the lovely spots in Suffolk. Would certainly recommend.

This is a very comfortable cottage by the sea with an enclosed garden which is good for dogs.

I was very lucky with the weather so I was able to sit in the garden until late at night and you can hear the soothing sound of the waves crashing on the beach below. The cottage sleeps 4 so having it to myself was luxury! It is very clean and has everything you'd want. The owner had even left some treats for me and the dogs. I will be happy to stay here again and recommend it to others.

Jackie was very helpful, and just a text away if we needed help. Secure garden for the kids (yes I mean the dogs!), Although we did struggle with restrictions for the pups - basically only allowed in one area/room of the house (they are used to having the run of the place at home) I can understand the reasons but it would maybe stop us from booking again.

Great from beginning to end.

Owner is lovely and communication is great. The sand dunes and beach are a couple of minutes walk away. The property is well kept and even has a gate on the bottom of the stairs which is great if you have a four legged friend! Will definitely return.

The cottage was realy nice, it was warm and welcoming when we arrived in the snow, the heating worked well.

The sofa and chair were very comfortable as were the beds. The kichen was well stocked with everything for cooking and plenty of crockery. The cottage has good off road parking and is a few minutes walk to the beach via the back door and to the road and sea front via the front door, its very conveniently placed. We has a very enjoyable holiday.

This is a gem, it could not have been cleaner and is well equipped.

Beach and quiet walks only 10 mins away. Lots of attention to detail eg the bedside lamp is not so bright that you fully wake up if you switch it on in the night. Directions to the parking spaces also very useful. Had a lovely relaxing stay, and hope to book again next year.

The cottage was very comfortable, clean, well equipped and conveniently positioned in that we could walk to the local pubs, chip shop, restaurant ( The Waterfront.

..recommended!)and beach. The chocolates and milk on arrival were a lovely touch. Kessingland is only a few minutes to Morrisons on the edge of Lowestoft and in the village there was a Spar and a Co Op. It would be ideal for people bringing dogs and Kessingland beach was good for dog walking. It's very close to Africa Alive which was a very pleasant day out, and Southwold was very nice. We visited Framlingham Castle and Sutton Hoo in around 45-50 minutes each

Lovely little cottage, my Golden Retrievers loved the garden.

A real home from home, and the welcome treats for us and the dogs were amazing and very much appreciated after our longer than anticipated drive. The cottage itself is far closer to the beach than we expected ☺️, it was very clean and everything you’d need for your stay is here. The Beach hut (nearby shop) sells a plethora of things and I can’t recommend the Kebab & Pizza shop enough! The local residents are so very friendly we will definitely be back.

We had a lovely week's holiday with our dogs in this great cottage.

The cottage is very well equipped and very comfortable. Great location, only a few minutes' walk down a quiet lane to a dog-friendly beach. We enjoyed having a sunny patio and garden. Nice pubs, restaurants and fish and chips all within walking distance or a short drive.

The property is perfectly set up for a holiday stay, it has everything you’d need.

Our dogs also had a great time at the extensive beach which is a stones throw away from the Cottage and it provided us all with some welcome bracing fresh air and exercise. We felt our stresses melt away in the peace and quiet of Kessingland and wished we could have stayed longer. Thanks to the owners for a great stay in their Cottage.

A lovely property so close to the beach , could do with some sharp knives in the kitchen was difficult to slice anything when cooking The dogs loved the garden with dog friendly neighbours which is a bonus The chocolates and biscuits were a lovely surprise and treats for the dogs too ,many thanks

A great Cottage to stay in.

Beautifully decorated, clean and everything we needed. Close to the beach, not too much to do in Kessingland but our 11 year old and 13 year old loved the cottage, beach and local pub. Easy drive to get to surrounding places to visit. Communication with the host was great, and the lovely lady left us a welcome pack which was delightful! We have two dogs and everything was easy. The only thing that some people may wish to know is there is no upstairs toilet for little ones, or for those of us that get up in the night.

My sister and I have stayed in this cottage before, we love it.

The welcome pack, for the dogs as well is a lovely touch, it feels like a home from home and we relax as soon as we step in the door. Excellent proximity to the beach and it’s nice to have a garden to sit out in and also allow the dogs some space.

I think next time we'll stay a bit north or south, there was not a great deal to do unless you go some way in the car. See you again in the new year up the Glen Coe area. Thanks. Martin.

It contained everything you could possibly need for a holiday stay. We loved sitting in the garden having breakfast or an afternoon drink.

The cottage is perfectly situated and a great place for dog owners.

Very cosy and comfortable accommodation. The owners have clearly spent a great deal of time in meeting the needs of the holiday-makers. One problem - the dogs had more biscuits in the welcome pack than I did!!!

Everything was just perfect.

Regarding 7 Coastal Cottages it is close to the Beach area .

Kessingland is ideally placed for visiting the other Coastal resorts and the Broads.

The cottage was quite comfortable and its position was great for the beach, pub and restaurant.

Also a small local shop and cafe within a few minutes walk. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. Only one negative , there was no welcome pack, not even a pint of milk. We would have loved a cup of tea after a six hour drive to get to the cottage.

My sister and I have been visiting Kessingland for a number of years now, this is the first time we have been to this property but will definitely return.

The welcome pack was a really nice surprise and the dogs loved their biscuits. We felt at home immediately, facilities are excellent access to WiFi was much appreciated, we took “Alexa” so enjoyed our pick of music...... really happy with our choice of accommodation, would recommend the property to anyone, particularly with dogs especially with the garden..

Suffolk is a very dog-friendly county, and there are so many amazing places to visit with your pooch, you are really spoilt for choice. Our dog loves it here, so we have to come back!

This is a first class cottage for anyone wanting to visit the beautiful Suffolk coast with their dog.

The cottage is very cosy, ample heating and hot water and very comfortable. Most unusually for a holiday let the wifi was excellent. The long secure garden was ideal for our dog to mooch in between outings and we all loved the dunes and beach just two minutes walk away. The patio was great to have morning coffee on, still catching the sun in late September/early October. You need look no further for a dog friendly holiday in this part of England, thoroughly recommended.

What a gem of a cottage tucked away and yet in a central location.

The cottage was Very clean, comfortable and a lovely set of extra gifts provided by the owners upon our arrival, thank you. Kessingland is very dog friendly and the beach is 2 mins away along a little used lane and path. The cottage has a nice long garden and the benefit of catching the morning sun, even at the start of September this allowed breakfast out on the patio. The neighbours were friendly and the owners could not have been more helpful. The beach is made up of sand, shingle and dunes and is very large and quiet. Our dogs loved it and were happy to return in the evenings and snooze away with doggie dreams. From warm summer mornings to cosy winter nights, this cottage really is a home from home and a credit to the owners for providing an inviting atmosphere. We would love to return.

It was very useful to have the parking space. Good location for Lowestoft and Southwold and easy access to the beach at Kessingland. The thoughtful treats on arrival were very welcome. We would stay at this cottage again.

Nice long garden for dogs to run in and doggie treats left for them . There was also milk , biscuits and box of crocs left for us which was a nice touch . The location was very peaceful just five minutes walk to lovely beach where the dogs were allowed .. Good pub in village serving food .

The cottage exceeded our expectations - it was gorgeous, beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and so comfortable. The enclosed garden was perfect for the dogs. The unexpected welcome treats (for humans and dogs) were a lovely touch. Kessingland is a friendly, quiet location with miles of empty beach and all the local residents we met were so friendly. We would definitely book again.

There has clearly been a lot of thought and care into making sure holidaymakers have everything they need. Location is excellent - just a few minutes walk to the beach and lots of walking. This is a great place to take dogs.

Central for exploring. Beach a few minutes away and a Pub that allows dogs in ,that serves wonderful food. All round little gem.

Good communication for directions etc from owner, which was just as well as the cottage is sort of back to front i.e. Accessed from garden, with no apparent front door. Very pleasing nautical decor particularly the 2 bedrooms and comfy bed. The Kitchen had plenty of accessories including some basic condiments, even washing machine and dish washer tablets. Living area well laid out with pleasant suite, TV and DVD player and selection of books, if needed. Our dog was also very happy with the fenced garden and we were happy with the stair gate keeping her downstairs knowing she was not allowed upstairs saved us from nagging her all the time ! The location was also good for us, short walk away from garden gate to a brilliant beach of shingle and dunes which was dog friendly, our dog just ran and ran. There is a very friendly Pub off the beach with good basic pub food and dogs accepted inside plus choice of fish shops if you didn't want to travel far but the cottage is sited about half way between Southwold and Lowestoft, both good places to visit In all a good week's holiday - home from home and an extra touch was a welcome card. Chocolates, biscuits, bag of sweets and biscuits for our dog left for us - very thoughtful.

A lovely cottage in a great location. The cottage is very well equipped and has been tastefully modernised. The owner was more than helpful and we appreciated the welcome tray. We would not hesitate to recommend this cottage and will certainly consider a return if we come back to this area.
