"A lovely cottage in a rural area."
The cottage is just as shown in the pictures
Spotlessly clean and very comfortable.
It was great to arrive and find Milk in the fridge and a pack of tasty biscuits along with Tea,Coffee and Sugar ready for that much needed cuppa on arrival, plus half a dozen fresh eggs from the owners chickens which you can hear and see.
The garden is ideal for the dog and totally secure.
Felixstowe is the nearest town and is both a busy port and a lovely seaside resort, which all along the promenade from the Fort to the Deben Estuary was well maintained plus offered free parking in most areas.
The cottage is ideally situated for exploring this part of Suffolk.

"Beautiful countryside cottage!"
We really enjoyed our time there despite of crazy weather. Clean and tidy and you've got everything you need. Nice outside area, very private. Especially we enjoyed a fireplace which kept us warm during the storm. Very good location if you wish to have a quiet vacation but at the same time close to all amenities. Thank you to owners for delicious eggs left upon our arrival. Definitely would recommend the place!!!

"A very clean and well equipped cottage located about half a mile from a small village with a nice pub, however only a very short drive from Felixstowe and Ipswich."
Well suited to a couple staying but has a spare bedroom with two spare beds and a cosy log burner. Private parking area is good and it's very well placed for touring the area, coast and villages.
We never met the owner who lives next door but a lot of thought has obviously gone into the entire set up to make it a very pleasant place to stay. The description on the web site is very accurate, in particular describing the steep staircase and dining table for two, no issues for my wife and I but worth noting if you have mobility issues ect.
Would certainly recommend after a very enjoyable stay in late November.

"Sykes itself was somewhat disappointing, as I was awaiting a reminder email to which I have come to expect from other sites, and for the holiday to automatically be put on my calendar, instead of needing to do it manually."
As I've had some full on stress and calendar lately, I had thought my holiday started 3 days later than it actually did, yes it is absolutely my own fault, however a reminder email would have perhaps rectified my mistake as I was looking out for it. That's my only negative remarks. The holiday cottage was absolutely fabulous!! The owners are wonderful, friendly and helpful in giving insite to the area walls and some history too

"My feedback is for Sykes."
About Sykes.
I totally missed the fact that you charge a management fee so only saw/realised at point of payment. You need to better state it and be up front about how much - not at point of payment or in the contract in the small print.
You make it sound as the contract is with you but it is actually with the owner and you wash your hands of all in the contract. It's very confusing.
So many emails sent out - why? Repeat emails. I will never to do business via you again.

"We loved our stay."
It's a very lovely house that's finished to a high standard. It was sparkling clean and very comfortable, especially the beds. The log burner was a great feature that kept my daughter entertained. There was everything we could have wanted in the house and more, including a couple of bikes in the shed. A view of the chickens next door and the farm shop with an abundance of delicious eggs was a bonus.

"Completely exceeded our expectations!"
We loved spending every minuet is this holiday home. We loved that they had left us fresh eggs from there chickens and milk and tea bags so we could have a cupper when we arrived. They own a lovely little shop so we was able to buy fresh eggs for the rest of the stay. My favorite things about the cottage was the log burner, we spent every night with the TV off in front of the fire reading.
personally I couldn't fault this property at all! hope to come back one day!

otherwise excellent.; clean and well stocked
We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at 2 Hillside Cottage. We do appreciate the stairs in the cottage are quite steep and narrow which may cause some discomfort to people with mobility issues. Thank you for your feedback. Property Owner

Located in a quiet location and easy to get around to visit the coast and other places.
Plenty of private area outside the cottage to relax and enjoy your time.
Main shopping (Tesco, M&S, Aldi) are only a short drive away from the cottage.
Friendly owners are next door if you need them.
Would love to visit and stay again in the future.

"This holiday cottage is amazing, the peace and quiet is great but you are not isolated."
If you like walking and watching birds this is the place for you , plus it’s dog friendly and completely fenced in no worries letting the dog out ,
Only 10 minutes to drive to Felixstowe 15 minutes to Ipswich great location to see east anglia
There are some great local pubs that serve great food .
The cottage itself is very clean , beds very comfy even the pillows are good , overall a place that makes you feel like home from home , the owners live next door and make you feel so welcome top marks from me a truly great holiday let, .
Also on chilly days there is a great wood burning stove
If I could make a comment that I think should be added to your web site is that there is a lovely fishing lake a 10 minute walk away which is a day ticket lake for which I would have used if I had known it was there

Very clean and well decorated. The owner, who live next door were very helpful, their eggs were delicious. The only point we would mention is that the stairs to the 1st floor bedrooms are very steep and may prove to be difficult for older people to use. Apart from that it was a lovely holiday

"A real home from home."
The cottage is immaculate, beautifully done out and you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. Nice comfy sofas, a fully equipped kitchen, lovely modern bathroom with a fabulous shower and comfortable bedrooms. There is everything you need to enjoy your stay. The outside space is an added bonus perfect for sitting and relaxing in the sunshine and being secure it's perfect for your furry friend to roam about. The only minor niggle was the wifi. Whilst fine for social media and browsing the signal is not strong enough for downloading files. That said it did give me the perfect excuse not to do any work whilst I was away!
