15 Victoria Street, Southwold

15 Victoria street is a great place to stay when in Southwold.

The location is very convenient for the shops and promenade. The house itself is deceptively spacious with a lovely open kitchen that opens onto a small but sunny patio. Bedrooms are spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. For our stay at the beginning of June there was building work next door so some mornings were a little noisy particularly in the small bedroom. As a result of the works the garden doesn’t have a side gate to the next foot house so not ideal if you have a dog or young child.

Such a welcoming cottage with impeccable styling and charm. Some holiday homes take a few days to get used to but not here. Everthing you could need is provided, including toys and food bowls for the pooch! Great position in town too, pubs, shops and sea all on your doorstep. Owner really easy to communicate with when we had a couple of queries. Lovely.

I have only marked it down because there was some rubbish under the sofa & in one of the bedrooms.

The cottage was perfect for our family holiday with our dog.

Fantastic location, lots of cafes and beach walks to enjoy. The cottage itself was very well equipped and beautifully presented. I especially appreciated the high quality bed linen and towels. The kitchen was a perfect space for family dinners and games. We would love to visit again.

We enjoyed a long weekend in this well presented, tastefully decorated, clean and cosy cottage.

Walking distance to the beach, shops and pubs. We did not have a problem with the parking as we did not move the car for 3 days whilst we were there but I can imagine in the height of Summer it might be tricky! Would 100% recommend and would 100% rebook. We stayed as a couple and one small dog.

The cottage is very well situated for all that Southwold has to offer.

It has a very homely and well loved feel. The decor is very tasteful and the art and decorative items were all in keeping with its location. The soft furnishings and linen are high quality which was appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - Thank you

The second double bedroom has a door where it is too easy to bump your head.

A notice/warning of some sort would have been appreciated. We do no allow our dog to go upstairs, & a stairgate would have been useful, to prevent that. We resorted to using the clothes airer, that was cumbersome to move by the children

The property was in a great location, the living space on the ground floor was great for socialising and the bedrooms were adequate.

We all absolutely loved the cottage - brilliant location, tastefully furnished and decorated to keep that “cottage” feel.

The beds were really comfortable and great to have the extra shower too. We spent most of our time in the kitchen area (whilst we weren’t out exploring!) as it was great to socialise in there whilst cooking so we made the most of the space. If we could say anything, given the cottage could sleep six, that a few more (or bigger) pots and pans would be great. But as for the complaints in reviews we saw elsewhere re Adnam’s Lorries passing by causing noise or a minor issue with skirting board in the kitchen that you wouldn’t know about unless you looked, if you’re reading this, don’t listen to those! It’s a cottage in the middle of a town with a big brewery and everywhere has minor issues that need fixing now and again - not sure what people expect! We loved it and would love to visit again sometime! Thanks!

The second double bedroom was small with no heating, and the headboard was some sort of loose foam mattress against the wall.

Kitchen skirting board had come away from the wall. Being a mid terrace house we expected some neighbour noise and that was fine, but we didn’t anticipate the brewery lorries every weekday morning at around 7am going past

A great location and the property was beautifully decorated and very well thought out. The only thing to note was that the cot was very small - I appreciate the space to store and erect a cot is limited however our baby has just turned one so I think it would definitely be too small for an older baby. Might be worth having the size noted in the info. Again thanks for a lovely stay!

Southwold is a dream and being able to explore and then come back to such a comfortable and well equipped home makes it even more perfect! Thank you, thank you! We have loved slowing down - sitting on the beach, early morning runs (and coffee runs) the two magpies bakery and the under the pier show have been winners! Until next time!

A great place to return home to after a blustry walk. All the home comforts and more! Much appreciated in all the weather that we had. A gem of a cottage!

First time I have rented a cottage and I have struck lucky!

Someone has obviously put a lot of care & thought into this cottage. Never dreamt it would be so well equipped with such quality appliances. Really loved our time here. Everything spot on. Can't recommend it enough.

We returned as promised in in 2023.

We have enjoyed another lovely week in lovely Southwold!

The cottage as been ideal for the four of us and our dog Margot! The location just behind the high street and very close to the Adnams shop has been perfect. We have had mixed weather for mid July but the house caters for all activities! The house has been decorated beautifully and we definitely made the most of the coffee machine and milk frother! The pesky seagulls were quite loud at night but this is out of the holiday homes control! Very friendly neighbours who put our bin out for us very kindly! We would definitely recommend to friends and would book again in the future!

This was a last minute booking as our usual property wasn't available.

So glad it wasn't otherwise we would never have found this gorgeous cottage. The interiors are beautiful & everything is catered for. We love Southwold and come here often so very happy we have found this lovely cottage, hopefully we will be back soon.

Had a lovely trip, the house is well equipped, warm and welcoming.

Would recommend the Museum and Ship Inn Dunwich, Framlingham and Minsmere for days out. The joy of spending days in Southwold on the Beach, Pier and pottering and eating excellent fish and chips. We will be back next year.
