What guests are saying
Poppy cottage was lovely and cosy for a autumn break with my two dogs very well positioned to reach all the nice spots in southwold Only negative sofa like others have said very uncomfortable, and the heating needs to be explained better , as the battery’s had gone in the hive thermostat which we didn’t realise so cold evening with no heat but maintaince came out next day when I reported it and replaced battery and the welcome pack needs updating as the dustbin days are not correct and u can’t get down the side of the house to put bins out as very overgrown But the stay itself was lovely
Cottage was well maintained and in a great location.
The plant overhanging the passaging needs trimming back so that you can use the passageway at night. Sofa was not the most comfortable. We could not work out the heating, Sykes customer support was unhelpful, half an hour of cello music designed to make you hang up before they answer and when they were no help at all.
Location was perfect.
House is a lovely space. Kitchen well equipped and furnished however the sofa in the sitting room was extremely uncomfortable. It feels like it’s been cheaply furnished with some basic stuff which really lets the property down. We resorted to sitting upstairs on the bed as the sofa wasn’t good. Bed and bedding could be better too. Bed wasn’t very comfortable and the bottom sheet was bobbly and rough. If these things were fixed then the property would be near enough perfect for us. I’d recommend a stay here but my feedback to the landlord would be invest a little in some comfort for your guests !
