Seas The Day is in the perfect spot for discovering the delights of vibrant Southwold which has its own beach, pier and lighthouse as well as a good selection of shops, bars, galleries, pubs and restaurants.
Jump in the car for some great days out to places such as Africa Alive Zoological Reserve, Sutton Hoo, Halesworth Museum, Somerleyton Hall and Snape Maltings.
Travel south along the coast and be rewarded with captivating views from Dunwich Heath and Beach and continue into the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty but just make sure you’ve got your camera at the ready!

Relatively minor point but the toilet seat in the second en-suite bathroom was very loose and in the main en-suite slightly loose and could be dangerous for older guests.
Apart from this the accommodation was superb and the location second to none. One of the best places we have stayed in Southwold and we shall certainly stay again.

This is a very clean, well equipped apartment located near to the beach, pier, Sole Bay Inn and the High Street. We will return.

Just a lovely space - comfortable, and just easy to be in really!
It's close to the beach and to the centre of town - but very peaceful. WiFi not great but no doubt that's the same everywhere. We would have loved a dvd player tbh as it's joy to go to charity shops and buy old favourites and have that shared experience once again with the whole family.

The location is ideal,100m from the sea/pier and close to the town.
We are regulars to Southwold and have stayed in this cottage three times now and have booked to return in October when dogs are allowed on the beach. Wi-Fi could be stronger, it doesn’t reach the further bedroom. It was very hot while we were there, so it would have been good to sit outside on the bistro table and chairs - but we couldn’t find them. The only negative we had was both toilet seats were very wobbly!

The cottage is in a superb location walking distance to everything in Southwold just down the road to the beach and pier.
The cottage is very equipped with everything you would need for a holiday to a very high standard. We really enjoyed our short stay and will definately visit again.

The that was perfect.
It was spacious and well renovated. It fitted my feeling of wanting to stay in a property in Southwell without staying in a Biju hotel. I particularly enjoyed the bath which was big enough to accommodate me without wasting too much water. The only thing that I found out was the position of the cutlery drawer which, given this constant use was in the wrong place in my humble opinion.

We had just returned from a lovely second stay at Seas the Day.
It is very well equipped and very clean. Its location is perfect, near the pier and the town. The double bed was partiularly comfortable. The bedrooms were cosy and warm but the underfloor heating controls in the lounge rather defeated us, though the tower fan heater worked well. We look forward to staying again in the Autumn.

The underfloor heating can take a little while to heat up so the temptation is sometimes to increase the temperature and so can then get a little too warm. Just returned from a lovely stay at Seas the Day.
The apartment was spotlessly clean, very cosy and very well appointed. The owners had clearly put a lot of thought into how it had been renovated. Close to the sea, pier and town - perfect for a relaxing stay.

Flat was lovely.
Great position. Have to have ground floor properties as have mobility issues and cannot do the stairs or steps in most cases. The only downside was the toilet facing straight into the bath. There was not a lot of room to move around . We didn't use the pull out bed as there was only 2 of us. So I cannot comment on that. But very happy otherwise.

We had a lovely weekend at the property.
It is in a perfect location for exploring Southwold. We stayed with our 6 and 1.5 year old and we had plenty of space although the bathroom was a bit of a tight squeeze. The kitchen and living area were very well equipped. Some of the bedding seemed a bit in need of replacing (very old duvet on single bed for example) and we would have preferred non-feather filled. Cleaning had been done to a generally good standard, although our littlest managed to find a dog biscuit (not from us as no dog) somewhere on the floor, which ended up in his mouth so a bit more of a thorough clean under and around furniture was perhaps needed. Nonetheless these were relatively minor details and we had a great stay!

Easy to maintain, beautiful things, great equipment. Apparently the 2 single beds were a bit uncomfortable- maybe a bit too hard. But loved it there - so near the beach - could not ask for more.

Seas The Day is a lovely cottage perfectly positioned in Southwold.
The property features two bedrooms, one with a double bed and an en-suite and another room with a single trundle bed and en-suite. Both very pleasant rooms. The open plan lounge/kitchen diner was lovely and light with panaramic windows all the way around. The cottage was lovely and clean with clear instructions on check-out. We stayed for three days whilst attending Latitude.

This property exceeded our expectations.
So close to the beach and just a short walk to the town centre where we found plenty of dog friendly bars and restaurants (we don't do cooking when on holiday and as we're in our 70s' don't do long walks). Met the owner who was a very pleasant lady. Will probably make a booking for next year. Recommend? Yes.

We had a lovely stay at Seas the Day.
It is very well equipped and very clean. Its location is perfect, near the pier and the town. A pleasant bracing walk along the prom to Gun Hill to let our dog run on the beach. We look forward to staying again. The only negative is that the WiFi didn't work in the bedrooms, only in the living area.

We had a delightful stay.
The cottage was thoughtfully and adequately equipped and just as advertised. If anything it exceeded our expectations. so our warmest thanks and appreciation. One or two tiny suggestions for improvement. We found the Best of Suffolk website very difficult indeed to use. We would have liked a loaf of bread, a bottle of milk and a pack of butter in the Welcome pack. We would have appreciated a sharp knife and some scissors. There was nothing to cut things with when we were cooking or trying to open things or cut vegetables. Excellent otherwise.

We will get this replaced along with a new knife set…. again there should be knives there but perhaps they have become blunt so thank you for advising us. Lovely, clean, nice towels and bed linen, as the weather wasn't good it was great to be able to control the heating, my hubby has an illness thats makes him feel very cold, very well equiped, but a pair of scissors and some small dishes for microwave use would have been good, thank you for the goodies, we enjoyed our stay.

The property was clean, warm and comfortable.
Just a minute’s walk from the seafront and only a couple of minutes walk to the High Street and shops. There was a fantastic firework display on the beach to see in the New Year. There was a lovely welcome pack of Prosecco, juice, biscuits, mince pies, crisps, cookies and popcorn. A lovely Christmas tree and crackers made it feel very festive. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location and well appointed apartment with some nice welcoming touches.
The kitchen/lounge is excellent, but the awkward arrangement of the #1 bathroom leaves it cramped at best. We are currently querying additional charges for cleaning and a repair charge for a blind pull which failed during our visit, which we feel are unjustified. As it stands we would be reluctant to return.
Probably the best holiday home Have ever stayed in.
Everything was top quality, and the decor immaculate. Great location for beach,town and pubs. A big thank you for the generous welcome basket, a lovely surprise. Would hope to return in near future. Pauline and Carole

This beautiful apartment was spotlessly clean, bright and comfortable with all the necessary amenities needed to make our short stay such a lovely one.
Quietly situated but just a 5 minute walk to the centre of Southwold and 2 minutes to the beach. We had such a calm and relaxing couple of days and will definitely be booking for a return visit. The booking procedure, confirmation emails and instructions for entry were perfect. Thank you!

The second bedroom is a bit of a squeeze for two adults and would have been good if the bed had been out.

A lovely ground floor apartment in a very convenient spot.
Good for anyone with limited mobility. Comfortable and well-maintained, and the welcome pack was excellent. Plenty of bedding and towels as well, and generally clean and very tidy. We could have benefitted from more bin bags, and the WiFi was quite variable (non-existent in the furthest bedroom). Overall, we had a delightful time and would happily stay there again.

A fantastic little ground floor apartment within a stone’s throw of the sea, Southwold Lighthouse and the town centre.
The properly was clean and beautifully decorated. We chose this because of my elderly Mum who hadn’t been away for a number of years as she’s very unstable on her feet and lost confidence in going away. This property was ideal giving her a walk-in shower en-suite in her bedroom and open plan living area for us all to socialise with no steps to negotiate. Absolutely ideal for anyone in a similar position. It’s enabled us to give her a proper break away and a boost to her her confidence at the same time. A lovely welcome pack and gift and we’ll definitely consider a revisit.

The kitchen living area had a good amount of space to relax in. The bed was comfy. The Wi-Fi worked well and the showers were good. I like a bath so it was nice to have one in the property too. A great stay, thank you.

We had a fabulous stay here, apartment was a short walk from all shops and the beach, you can even see the sea from the front window.

I needed to book a ground floor apartment suitable for my mother who has mobility issues which was fairly close to the local amenities.
Seas the Day fit the brief perfectly. The apartment is beautifully renovated and decorated to a high standard. There was everything we needed for our week long stay. The welcome hamper was very thoughtful and the “souvenir” mugs were a lovely touch. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this accommodation without hesitation

Excellent standards of design, fixtures and fittings.
Very well equipped and comfortable. Central location, near sea. Provided all the practical essentials, e.g. washing up materials, as well as tea, coffee and condiments (not often the case). The Welcome pack was nice. There were one or two minor matters, which I have mentioned to the owner, and which I am confident she will address. Would stay there again.
Everything in the property was beautifully styled, comfortable and spotlessly clean.
There was also a lovely gift basket with treats. The only suggestion I do have (and this applies to Best Of Suffolk generally) is that with our changing climate and increasing temperatures, often unexpected, it would be really helpful if a portable fan was provided in all the properties. This really would have helped our comfort on the hottest week of the year which I struggled with a little, especially at night. Other than that I can report that the owner had thought of everything. As a couple who love to cook there was even measuring scales and jug.

It was a lovely flat for the three of us.
Mum has a walker to help her mobility and this flat was well organised with no steps or tripping hazards. Actually, after a day she was navigating the area without the walker. Parking outside the property, or close to it was never a problem despite being close to the beach and town. We had a lovely break and would happily return on another occasion
