  • "This was our second stay at Badminton."

We like the apartment very much, especially the layout and design. Great to have Nespresso machine! A couple of things would make a huge difference. Like others, we found the sofas impossible to sit on - too low and too deep for comfort. Some hooks in bathrooms would be very useful to put towels on after showers. It got chilly on our last night and although we put the thermostats up the heating didn’t kick in. The location and space makes this a great holiday home and I’m sure we will be back.

Dear Angie, Lovely to have you return to Badminton and thank you kindly for your feedback. I am very pleased you liked the new addition of the Nespresso machine. We always try to action on feedback that guests provide, and we will definitely get hooks put up in the bathrooms. The sofas are on our short to medium plan to replace, as I am aware they are a low style. The heating being underfloor sadly means it does not react quickly to increases / decreases. I recommend in the future using the gas fire to heat the main living space quickly and the x2 towel rails are very effective in warming the bathrooms. I do hope that we welcome you back to Badminton in the future. Best wishes Sanchia Property Owner

  • "Fabulous rental property in great location."

The house is very stylish & has everything you could need plus many extras. Very nice to find a welcome pack. Would definitely recommend & will certainly stay there again.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Badminton and we hope to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner

  • "There were some disappointing points at the property: Dishwasher old and not functioning properly."

Very dirty mugs in the cabinet which we washed by hand. Crockery needed a good clean probably down to the old dishwasher. Settees were vey low making it difficult if you are of an age with arthritis. Shower head in the ensuite needs descaling.

  • "This is our second stay in the past 18 months at Badminton and thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

However we did think that the quality of the sofas had declined in that time. They are extremely low and difficult to get off and also the seats were hard with very little padding! The beds were extremely comfortable both mattress and pillows and we slept very well. The bathroom would benefit from hooks for dressing gown’s and also the toilet roll holder was very cheap and kept coming apart! Minor things but would make a big difference. The complimentary wine and crisps were a lovely touch but milk, tea and coffee would be appreciated especially as there is no shop in the village. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back

Dear Mrs Mcallister, we are so pleased to welcome you back to Badminton and thank you kindly for your feedback, which I always try to action. I wanted to let you know that hopefully for your next visit the toilet roll holders will have been replaced, I thoroughly agree these are of poor quality. In addition, it is on my short to medium term plan to replace the sofas in the future. It is a shame that there is nolonger a shop in Thorpeness and I will look at the possibility of providing more basic provisions for arrival. I look forward to welcoming you back to Badminton in the future. Best wishes Sanchia Property Owner

  • "Beautiful house."

Kitchen was well equipped. The layout and decor was excellent. Brilliant location. Information file was professional and clear. Two things to consider how to recycle was unclear e.g we didn't know what to do with glass. There was no iPlayer on the TV. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "Hello We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the weather helped!"

As it was a beautiful weekend. Property is in a great location which we were familiar with. The property itself, easy access, straight forward. Very well presented. Good facilities, comfy beds and pillows. Clean bathrooms. Great kitchen. Although the 2 nd oven did trip a couple of times. One major issue for us, sofas are very low and uncomfortable, we ended up using the dining room chairs just to sit and chat. Also although high ceilings in the lounge and not easy to reach, the cobwebs were huge, just not nice to look at. Other than that fabulous.

  • "Just back from a relaxing stay here and it’s picture perfect accommodation and location."

Just a short walk to the pebble beach, the Kitchen does breakfast overlooking the Mere and with ducks for company and the Emporium has vintage and antiques. It’s ideally located across from the Dolphin restaurant and you can beach walk via them coastal path which takes you to Aldeburgh in around half an hour where there are boutique shops. Badminton was perfect for us and we will be back soon! We can also recommend the Dolphin and sister pub restaurant The Parrot & Punchbowl for lovely food.

  • "The main bathroom smelled of drains the whole time despite me pouring water down all the drains to ensure the u bends were covered."

The iron garden furniture is rusty & has seen better days, not what I would expect when paying nearly £1000. Photo available. On arrival, it was very warm upstairs & the housekeeper organised two fans which was greatly appreciated. The stuffing in the main sofa seat cushion needs replacing. It would appear the place had been empty for a while as there were large spiders in the bath & underneath kitchen wall cupboards. Despite those mentioned we had an enjoyable stay.

  • "In addition an overall enjoyable stay, some negative feedback:- Both toilet roll holders were broken."

The scissors in the kitchen drawer were broken. The sofas need replacing - extremely flat and very uncomfortable. One of the carpets in the bedroom I don't think had been hoovered.

Thank you for passing on your feedback, it is invaluable in order to maintain standards. The owner is going to replace the scissors & toilet roll holders and would have been more than happy to do this during your stay, had you got in touch we would have rectified for you.
