What guests are saying
We were happy with this cottage, but found the bed in the main bedroom rather hard, and rear doors did not seem very secure.
The kitchen was well equipped and the sofas in the lounge comfortable. The utility area was very useful as we were able to store our outdoor boots and coats there, plus all the items for our two Whippets. It was a good place for us to feed the dogs, and make sure their paws etc were clean. As the cottage is dog friendly I would suggest that the gate to the rear (and entrance to the property) is a lot higher. Being as low as it is that gate could easily be cleared, and thus does not make the property totally secure for dogs.
Absolutely loved this property and would stay again in a heartbeat.
The location is in the heart of village walking distance to dog walks and pub. Beeches easy and short drive away. My on constructive feedback was the electric heaters are a complicated to use. What happened to simple off and on dials with temps to select. Instead I the heaters wouldn’t go above 18 degrees because I later found out they are on eco mode and it was bloomin cold. So I eventually downloaded the app but the WiFi had become disconnected to the heater router so I spent half an hour unplugging and plugging both routers until they connected again and I was able to use the app to change the mode from eco to comfort. Once sorted we were very snug and had an amazing time.
Good cottage, great base for touring the area.
Comfortable beds, shower and bath towels good size. Well equipped kitchen. However the cottage is tired in need of painting it also has damp in some rooms. Dirty windows and the front and back garden are overgrown and not pleasant to look at. Some attention is needed on this property to get it looking like the photographs on the Sykes app.
