The barn was beautiful.

However, the bedroom off of the kitchen had an unusual chemical smell which we thought might be cleaning products but lasted the whole time we were there, which made sleeping in it slightly uncomfortable. And while we appreciate the time of year and being in the countryside there were also a lot of cobwebs in the bedrooms. The sofas in the front room were also not particularly comfortable. There was also only 1 wine glass which was a bit strange. The dishwasher also broke while we were there and we couldn’t work out how to use the heating so the bedrooms were incredibly warm. Saying all this, the barn is beautiful and has a great dog area outside the utility room which is completely enclosed. There is also a field across from the barn that can be used for dog walking. The property is ideally situated near several little villages. The Queens Head in Bramfield was great for Sunday lunch. I wouldn’t advise visiting Halesworth on a Sunday as there was only 1 shop open. Overall a lovely break but maybe expected a little more for the cost of the stay.

Beautiful barn, perfect for our family.

Quality furniture, decor and kitchen equipment, and lots of room for the children to let off steam! Overall we had a wonderful time.

Overall a lovely property, good location quiet but close to the coast and facilities at Halesworth.

The beds and bedding were very comfortable, it would be nice if similarly luxurious fluffy and soft towels were supplied. The kitchen was well appointed with appliances, a couple more larger cooking pots would be welcome for a group of 8 who like catering. One problem was the downstairs bedroom/bathroom which had a pervading smell of oil as it was next to the boiler, guests in there left 3 days early. Also due to circumstances shortly before our holiday, the property is unsuitable for a wheelchair as all 4 entrances had steps, perhaps this should be included on the website for future guests’ reference. Aside from the property, the worst aspect was the booking company who were extremely difficult and complicated to contact by any means (next day responses on WhatsApp, live chat unavailable). Other holiday booking agents normally supply one named contact complete with telephone number and email address. Overall an enjoyable stay in a beautiful part of the country.
