Jane the owner was lovely, the property was a little gem.

The location is great, not having to go to far for a day out, well equipped, and so quiet. The clear skies at night good for star gazing. The stairs a little steep but other than that perfect. Recommending to friends and family.

Fairly comfortable cottage.

Steep stairs up to the accommodation, would have benefited from having a coffee table in the living room and lighter bath sheets and sharper knives such as a bread knife and small steak knives.

A lovely area to stay, and the owners, who live on site, are very friendly and helpful.

The property could do with a bit of an update and a deep clean. I wore slippers indoors, and as they scuffed on the carpet, they brought up masses of dog hair from the pile. The exposed beams are lovely but full of dust and cobwebs. The shower was unusable, as the shower head was so leaky that barely any water came out properly. The “entrance via a shared utility” is actually more of a storage shed containing paints and other flammable items, and this is also the only way into and out of the property. The windows in the flat are all too small for a person to get out of, except the Juliette balcony, which is directly above what would be the seat of a fire. Below the flat is some kind of workshop (we never saw inside it), but it was used by someone watching television or listening to the radio quite loudly. All of the kitchen equipment (dishes, plates, etc.) are quite dated and could do with upgrading. Having said all that, the view was great, and the bed was very comfortable.
