The most important: I would immediately rent the house again !

There are a few defaults, where not, but nothing serious . And Catherine was a superb help in any way . We were very pleased indeed !

A spacious apartment in an idyllic setting, let down by the absence of a few basic amenities for self-catering.

The lack of a welcome pack with such essentials as tea, coffee and milk was an inconvenience given the 6 mile distance to the nearest shop. Also, the absence of a washing machine, though noted in advance, is poor. The TV didn't work for the first 2 days, and although this was rectified by delivery of a new one, it shouldn't have been necessary.

Perfect for a base to explore the highlands ; particularly if you’re a hiker.

Lacking a little for those who have the intention of being self catering . A toaster would be a welcome addition . I appreciate the oven has a grill but a toaster would have been quicker and probably cheaper to use and another saucepan would be great for those that enjoy to cook. Aside that, the accommodation was fine , the bed comfortable and plenty of space for two people to relax and refresh.

Super place for 2 for a peaceful holiday.

Well equipped and comfortable with big fluffy towels and good quality bedding . TV and internet mostly worked well . We weren't bothered by biting insects but had gone prepared. Lovely to sit on the balcony and hear the waterfall tumbling down .

Me and my partner loved this site and our dog loved the area.

Easy to locate aswell and the communication was great.

The property location and surroundings were faultless, exactly as I hoped for and expected.

Though slightly closer to the lodge than I had imagined from the photo's (not completely enclosed by forest but direct visibility by window between cottage and lodge) we were afforded the absolute luxury of private terrace with waterfall as published. It would have benefited from a colander and a mixing bowl. On multiple occasions. Perhaps consider a few additional kitchen items moving forwards. On one morning, around 8am we were woken by maintenance staff entering the garage below and executing their duties. This was not ideal, but only happened once or twice.

A lovely stay in an idyllic location.

The apartment was stunning and cosy. The contact was very helpful and we even had a visit from a lovely neighbour informing us of some pending roadworks letting us know an alternative route out. Would highly recommend staying at Waterfall Apartment

The property is set in gorgeous woodland – peaceful, scenic, and a great place to unwind.

It’s well maintained and mostly very comfortable, providing a lovely escape from the city. The only downside for us was that the mattress wasn’t the most supportive, and both my partner and I found we didn’t sleep particularly well as a result. It might be something for the owners to look into. A couple of small things to note for future guests and owners: the listing should make it clearer that there’s no TV aerial – any television access is via the internet only. It would also help if it was specified exactly which parts of the grounds are included for guest use, especially as the lodge is dog-friendly and the gardens arent mentioned in the listing, but they're are clear pathways. It would be really useful to have a short manual or guide for new guests on how to use the boiler and induction hob and some grit for the wooden steps in icy weather would be a good addition, as they were very slippery on one of the days. If you’re visiting soon ( next 6 weeks ), just be aware that there are roadworks on the road up to the property, meaning access is limited between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. There are also works between Drumnadrochit and Balnain, so it’s worth allowing an extra 20–30 minutes for your journey. Our contact, David, was fantastic – very responsive and quickly sorted out a small internet issue for us. Overall, this is a lovely, peaceful place to stay – perfect if you’re looking for a woodland retreat and a break from city life.

Waterfall cottage is wonderful.

A secluded property which suited me perfectly. Very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily book again in a beautiful area.

For those unused to electric cookers it would be helpful to have clear instructions on how to operate.

Instructions on where to dispose of rubbish/recycling etc

Had a wonderful holiday at Waterfall apartment, the place is beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

It was so peaceful, being among the trees and the sound of the waterfall was quite wonderful. We were lucky enough to see red squirrels. It’s a great base for exploring the area.

Lovely place to stay, but some kitchen basics lacking, no salt and pepper pot.

It would have been nice to have some basic cooking items like oil. Also anti bac spray would have been useful too. But overall a lovely comfortable apartment

we thought waterfall cottage was really great.

well equipped.could do with a washing machine though for folks staying more than a couple of days.also the garage downstairs can get very noisy at night when folks from the lodge are in it.apart from that .was a great holiday.nice and handy for touring about.will defo recommend to our friends.Davy

The property was a delight.

It was such a pleasure to walk into such a light and spacious apartment. Very well equipped although the TV had no ariel from the EE box. It was also listed as having a dishwasher and washing machine but I suspect that was for the main building. These were not in any way detracting from the apartment or our enjoyment of it. We would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

The property is ideally located in an isolated location, among a wooded area.

The property is a potential five star quality, but lacks a washing machine & dishwasher. The king size bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent, but one of the bedroom skylight requires cleaning. There's no Welcome Pack, which once again you'd expect of a five star property. Time was wasted setting up the oven, microwave & television for use. The television screen is definately too small for the size of the lounge area.

Had a lovely time there and the weather helped as it stayed dry most of the time.

The cottage was very clean and well furnished and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The only disappointing thing was that I expected a cottage but I would have described it more as an apartment on top of some garages with access via a wooden staircase. Would go back there nonetheless, it was in a lovely setting.

Fantastic place to stay.

John Facilities Manager is an absolute gem. The quality of the cottage is outstanding and we will definitely be back again. A great place to totally unwind with our two small dogs Max and Honey. Thanks again Noel and Catherine

Waterfall cottage was perfect for our break.

Set in lovely grounds close to lock ness. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone visiting the highlands.

The photos on Sykes website do not do the place justice. It is in a stunning location. We will visit again.

Is cozy and comfortable with all you need for spending a good time even if you are stacked inside when the weather is bad. John is a very good host and gives as a warm welcome and all the information we asked.

Wonderful apartment and a perfect base for trips around the Highlands

Cottage was lovely,peace and quiet while not far from shops etc,saw plenty of wildlife while sitting out on the veranda including Red squirrels,Great spotted Wood pecker,Pine Martin,Golden Eagle and lots of different bird species.

John was most welcoming and very helpful all. All in all a perfect week.

The property was clean and furnished to a high standard great to have the waterfall to look on with a coffee on the balcony Would suggest a small welcome pack of milk tea coffee and sugar would add to the experience Otherwise delighted with the property overall

We booked the waterfall appartment in conjunction with the main house for a week-long lifestyle medicine retreat.

The two together were the perfect location, combining tranquility with accessibility, with lovely grounds an exceptional standard of decor and maintenance. The facilities manager lives just next door and was very helpful with any queries. We have already book this venue again for later in the year for a similar event and can't wait to return.

Excellent accommodation.

Perfect for a couple. Larger than it looks from the photos. Very clean and neat without the usual Scottish tourist brochures scattered everywhere. Tasteful decor and free from signage, just like a home from home. John (the manager, lives nearby) an excellent host. Highly recommended

Gorgeous house set in stunning grounds.

The sound of the waterfall outside was a real bonus, I could have sat there all day! So clean and well equipped and the bed was super comfortable. Will hopefully return in the future! Thank you for a lovely stay.

The flat is absolutely stunning and was a delight to stay in.

It is literally next to a waterfall, which you can gently hear through your stay. There is a little bridge over the stream straight into the woodland, which was perfect for walking our dog every morning. The flat itself is beautifully furnished, and was perfect for collapsing each day after a walk in the nearby glens. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need equipment-wise, and the sofa and bed are very comfortable. Would highly recommend and look forwards to coming back sometime soon!

Everything was great during stay.

Was concerned at first as Lodge being near but no problems with privacy. Grounds are amazing and very secluded. Very peaceful after long days exploring Highlands. Host was brilliant so nice and friendly who lived nearby within walking distance. My parents want to stay there now after our visit. Perfect for couples and dog friendly.
