Beautiful quiet location with stunning views of Loch Ewe, Clean and well equipped with everything we needed for the week.

Plenty of beaches and great walks nearby and interesting historical sites to visit locally.

Lovely views, clean, well serviced and lots of facilities of good quality.

Shower hot and powerful, plenty of hot water and comfortable for a week. It is 8 miles down a single track road from Poolewe, so transport is definitely needed, but no complaints, quiet and warm...

Lovely cottage’s booked both very comfortable everything you need in kitchen good showers plenty of hot water not to far from shop site is in a quiet area friendly farmer neighbour good we beach at bottom of garden which is tidal some rocks for fishing of owner phoned a couple of times to see if we were alright nice friendly chap

Once again we had a fantastic holiday and hope to be back next year.

The bungalow is spotlessly clean and well fitted out apart from a sharp knife but we take our own. The views are amazing and we had some lovely walks. My only negative is the sofas could do with updating

The heating was on when we arrived and we found no way of controlling it.

It came on and went off at various times, but it was mostly on, which meant leaving doors and windows open. The TV was difficult but we did manage to work it. There was no handy manual with tips and suggestions. It was not very welcoming. No personal note from the owners like we often get. The rules in the entrance told us to put bedding and towels into black bags but they weren't any. The cottage itself was excellent with everything we needed and plenty of space. Sinks in the bedrooms was really useful. The kitchen was well equipped. The location was excellent with wonderful views over Loch Ewe.

This cottage is absolutely superb.

Extremely clean,very comfy. Well equipped and in a fantastic location. Can't rate it high enough.

We had a restful week, this is the perfect place for a getting away from it all holiday.

We will go back next year for 2 weeks, because it is so handy to visit all the places of interest. The shop in Poolewe has every thing you could ever need, and the staff are so friendly. The bungalow has all the things that you will need to make your stay perfect. We would highly recommend it if you want a quiet and relaxing holiday.

Stunning property with stunning views.

The house was spotless. Would definitely recommend to anyone and I would definitely stay there again.

A king size bed would be an improvement, the current mattress is well past it's best, and bigger bath towels would be nice.

There seemed to be a problem with the microwave. Other than these minor points, absolutely fantastic.

We loved the bungalow with its fabulous view.

There is no internet but that's because it’s not available just there, we had a phone signal though. We usually vacuum the whole place before we leave but the vacuum was so incredibly noisy we abandoned it. The single track 6.7 mile access road wasn’t a problem as there are plenty of passing places & very little traffic.

This cottage is one of the very best.

The cottage was extremely clean. Well maintained, comfy and had everything you needed. The location is beautiful. It has everything you could ask for. Beaches , mountains, history and plenty of places to visit. Already booked again for next year.

Wonderful cottage !

The location is amazing - you can stare through the front room window amd never get bored - so beautiful ! The bungalow is very cosy , comfortable and clean . We had a lot of snow ( for a few days ) and everything around us looked like a fairytale and made our walks straight from the cottage even more enjoyable ! Thank you for renting such a lovely place for people’s holiday!

We had a wonderful week at Bayview.

The location is simply perfect for a peaceful, relaxing getaway. We swam in the loch most days, and our son (aged 7) loved the little beach and exploring the rocks. The cottage was well equipped and clean, and perfect for our needs. We're already talking about when we can come back - next time probably for two weeks!

Lovely clean property only half a roll of toilet paper for 2 people which had been used No cleaning materials of any kind which was not good especially after all the coronavirus that was around There was no disinfectant or hand wash which was not good and nothing to clean the toilet with most disappointing especially as people had still to be careful.

Location, location, location - couldn’t be better.

The beach was amazing, the walking around this area wonderful and local attractions beautiful. It’s a long way from facilities and there is no welcome pack so you do need to take absolutely everything with you (including toilet rolls!) but that didn’t detract from the enjoyment, not one bit.

A perfect location with private beach , the best views ever! A bit more darkness in bedrooms ( curtains) would be nice …

Beautiful accomodation.

Everything spotless and well maintained. Wonderful outlook. A property we would be happy to live in. This was our third visit and we will visit again.

The only criticisms are the lack of a dish washing brush and a noisy washing machine on spin (probably a worn bearing).

Arrived on a Saturday and after a long journey we were shattered but the view from the bungalow made it all worthwhile, absolute fantastic location.

The bungalow itself was very clean and very well equipped with everything you need. The amount storage we had was fantastic. The heating was really hot and made the evening in the bungalow very snug. The shower was very powerful with hot water at all times. The only thing that needs updating is the blind in bathroom, everything was perfect and will certainly be returning, there is no wifi but to be honest it made it better as we could enjoy the view a lot more, look forward to next visit

We loved our stay at 1 Bayview.

Lovely remote setting, enjoyed the peace and quiet. Very comfortable. . It was our third week away and I had quite a bit of washing so a clothes horse would have been helpful.

The bungalow is in a stunning location but it wasn't very clean.

The kitchen floor was grubby, there was mould on the bathroom blind, the shelves hadn't been wiped. The knives in the kitchen were so blunt that carrots had to be cut with the bread knife. However, the views were brilliant and ever-changing wit the weather. Mention should be made of the lack of light pollution, the stars were so bright and the milky way showed up really well. Also the furniture is facing the wrong way, you want the sofas to be facing the windows to see the view over the loch, not facing a wall.

Had a great week’s holiday in Poolewe.

Lovely cottage. My only feedback would be that there wasn’t enough toilet paper (luckily we brought some with us) and the entrance to the driveway was quite narrow making car manoeuvres tight (especially if each cottage has 2 cars). Definitely would return. Nick

Very clean, good shower, fab views, kids loved sheep coming up to garden fence, really enjoyed the beach below although bit of a scramble.

The glasses, cups and cutlery could do with replenishing.

A lovely isolated semi-detached property.

Very clean. Some minor updating perhaps needed as not all windows can open/ close properly. Property owner was friendly and helpful. Views from the property were fantastic, and we saw sea otters, sea eagles and dolphins, and a myriad of sea birds during our stay. Do take time to walk to the end of the loch (follow the road to the end) as it is worth it for the views alone. The community cafe in Gairloch is fantastic, and we recommend the Gairloch estate walks (both the arboretum and waterfall routes).

A fantastic find and we had a brilliant holiday.

A local information pack would be a good addition. If you do a lot of cooking take a sharp knife with you

We had a great week at 1 Bayview Cottage with lots of sunshine and no rain!

The cottage is well equipped with everything you need (even a 4G reception if you really need to keep in touch with the world!). Bayview cottage is ideally located overlooking Loch Ewe (spotted several black throated divers and heard the elusive cuckoo most days!) with many great beaches, walks and interesting things to do and see in the surrounding area. The cottage was a great place to relax especially at the picnic table in the garden (so long as you protected yourself against the midges!!). The welcome postcard and packet of teabags from the local cleaner was appreciated. The only thing that would have enhanced the accommodation would have been a limited supply of extra basic essentials (eg bin bags, toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, washing powder etc). A great week!

Lovely setting.

If you want the perfect view from your back garden this is it. Very comfortable and well equipped. Would recommend.

The view from the living room window is superb and well kitted out.

Lovely place if you want a nice relaxing holiday, bit disappointed couldn’t get down to the beach by the bungalow, Rose who looks after the place was very helpful, telling us about the area, where to eat etc,a most enjoyable holiday

The bungalow was beautiful and extremely comfortable.

Far exceeded our expectations. We will certainly return. The only problem encountered were the steps tp the rear. Being disabled made them difficult to use. Another rail on the other side would be ideal. The view from the lounge window was wonderful!

The bungalow was better than advertised it was everything we were looking for with more besides, seeing the pictures and description gave us an expectation but to actually see it all in the flesh so to speak was an absolute dream on a scale that far exceeded our expectations.

.. so much so we are seriously considering booking again for our next annual holiday. Would definitely recommend Sykes to anyone as we have nothing but praise for the way they handled our brief for a quiet holiday in beautiful surroundings overlooking fantastic views...

Really lovely place views fantastic ,the only down thing would have liked to have had WiFi to keep in touch with family but apart from that fabulous place would come again
