Lovely accommodation.

Enjoyed the sea views from house.Didnt travel far as 28 miles back to Stornoway. Stayed local.Despite the rain l still enjoyed the holiday.

This was one of the best places we've stayed at.

We had everything we needed, the house was always comfortably warm, the views from the house were beautiful and Ness proved a really nice place to stay with such easy access to the fantastic beach.

Probably the best view of any cottage we’ve ever stayed in.

Ideally located for the north end of Lewis, a bit harder to visit Harris. There’s also a nice restaurant across the road, which serves good food with a lot of choice. The Wobbly Dog just down the road sells the best Victoria Sponge I’ve ever had.

We had a fabulous stay.

When we walked in the smell was so fresh and clean, it was beautifully warm and the stunning view caught our attention immediately. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bed very comfy. Everything was perfect. We loved the welcome gifts and the fact there was a complete supply of towels, tea towels, washing up liquid, bathroom and hand soaps, dishwasher tablets and even detergent for washing clothes. This is the best cottage we’ve stayed in. Thank you so much.

This was an excellent property in a great location overlooking the harbour in Ness.

It is cosy and bright and easy to curl up with a book on wet days. There is everything needed for making meals. Only down side is nothing to do with the property - the location at the northernmost tip of Lewis means travelling a distance to all the wonderful sites in Lewis and Harris. That said we would be more than happy to return - in fact we didn't want to leave!

What an outstanding property.

Spotlessly clean. Everything top quality even down to the Egyptian cotton bedding. The views from the house even when the rain was lashing the windows were something to behold! Would go back in a heartbeat.

Wow, what a property and what a location.

Just outstanding the property is top draw everything is done to a very high standard. All the little details, extra thoughts and care to attention were there. We loved it and spent many a happy hour or two in the reclining sofa staring out to sea with a glass of bubbles. Best holiday let yet and we use Sykes Holiday Cottages a few times most years. Thanks to the owners as they obviously really care that people enjoy their stay.

We always book a cottage of a similar price and quality about twice a year but hands down this is the best place we have stayed in.

You’ve nailed it, everything about the cottage was perfect for us. It had everything that you could want inside and out. If I lived there I would get nothing done as I spent a lot of time just standing and looking at the view. 10/10 I would recommend this cottage to anyone. Thank you so much it was the perfect holiday.

On the house, it was absolutely perfect.

The location was perfect, and the house had everything we needed. It was spotlessly clean, and we will certainly stay again when we go back to Lewis.

What a feast for the senses!

We have had a spectacular week. How we will miss the view! That view! Wow! Many happy memories and lots of relaxing. Thankyou so much.

It was a long journey to get here but worth it.

The windows took over from the TV screen with the constant changing view. Took a walk to Butt of Lewis , not for the fainthearted when close to the cliffs. Seals, porpoises, loads of birds - amazing. We relaxed a lot as the cottage is so comfortable it was hard to leave to be honest. If you get to Harris don't miss Luskentyre beach and the gin distillery.

What a beautiful home and stunning location. We've felt completely at home here and very relaxed - much needed. What a treat to sit and eat meals while watching seals in the sea and dogs having fun on the beach. This is a beautiful island. The house is well stocked.

Great house, great location, wonderful view over bay and sea.

Very well equipped, and besides the coffee machine, the most expensive and unecological way to make coffee, there are also two cafétieres (Bodum Drückerkannen). So everything is perfect for a relaxing holiday, which we also had!
