Really lovely house, decorated and furnished to a super standard.

Extremely clean and comfortable. Parking was never an issue as there was always a space outside the house. Great location for dog walking as there are lots of public footpaths on the doorstep. Would definitely recommend this place, it has everything you need and more besides. A real home from home. We will definitely be returning.

Fairfield House provided the perfect spot for our few days of getaway to Yorkshire.

It's conveniently located near the pleasant village of Almondbury on the outskirts of Huddersfield, and within a few miles of the amazing Yorkshire Sculpture Park that provided one of the highlights of our visit. The house is comfortable and clean with all the amenities you would expect. We wanted a house that offered an outside space, so the patio was a welcome spot that we used a lot in the fine weather we had for the visit. Although it didn't prove a problem in our case, it should be noted that it was only when we arrived that we saw that dogs are not allowed upstairs. That might be good to know for other visitors whose pets don't follow that rule at home. The kitchen is well equipped and we appreciated having the option of staying in to eat "at home" watch television on one of our nights at the property. Leeds and York are easy to access by road and a parking permit for one car is provided, with the prospect of a second permit apparently in the offing. The water pressure is a little low in the shower, but to be fair this is mentioned in the literature and we had no complaints. On the whole the house was a wonderful place to come back to after each day of exploring the amazing surrounding countryside. Our family of five all agreed it was a five-star listing.
