Beacon Cottage

The cottage was everything that we could have asked for.

The Hostess was in touch and took care of us. When we are in Ilkely / Bolton Abbey next we will look to book this cottage. Thanks.

I absolutely love this cottage!

This is my 2nd stay here and hopefully not the last. The location is amazing, just a few minutes walk from the beautiful river Wharfe. We used this as a base for local walks to Bolton Abbey and around Addingham to longer days out up to Swaledale. It’s very dog friendly even providing treats and dog bowls. The cottage is very clean and comfortable and so nice to return to after a day out walking. The owners were away during our stay but we were provided with numbers for neighbours who were on hand for anything we needed. We left a day early purely due to the weather forecast but can’t wait to return next year.

We had a very pleasant stay at this property, which is well situated for touring Wharfedale/Airedale and across towards Harrogate.

The property is very comfortable and well equipped, and there was a generous welcome basket! We did find the oven a bit quirky (it needs a higher temperature than might be expected) but once that is understood it's fine. Maybe a little more general lighting in the lounge area would be useful. These are minor niggles rather than a criticism and did not detract from what was a very pleasant week.

We have stayed at Beacon cottage on numerous occasions, and would highly recommend.

The cottage is well placed for accessing local amenities in Addingham. Lovely walks for the dog down by the river. We also loved visiting Hamilton's Café /Bistro for breakfast which is close by. The cottage was comfortable with everything needed to make your stay comfortable. The welcome pack was really thought out and appreciated including the doggy treats. Thank You. We will be back.

We were delighted with the location of Beacon Cottage, close to the river Wharfe.

We had many delightful walks with our 3 year old JR. A field opposite was donated many years ago to the folk of Addingham to use including walking dogs which was an unexpected bonus. Main roads were close by but far away enough not to hear traffic. Our accommodation was excellent. Everything was top quality from the beds to the kitchen facilities and the owners were very helpful and charming. We have booked for next year.
