What guests are saying
Lovely property , fantastic location , good sized bedrooms with very comfortable beds , large kitchen with everything you need including wine glasses and a proper pint beer glass.
The lounge was large enough with a well stocked log burner and smart TV. The outside included parking for two cars and of course the hot tub which was so relaxing after hiking all day. We definitely would return
This property has so much potential, especially due to its location, and we had a fantastic time at 2 Rock View.
However, just a view things; the wine fridge either doesn’t work, or we were unable to get it to? The valve on the shower has been broken so you cannot switch between the rainfall and direction shower heads, which was disappointing. The paint finish around the bathroom door is rather ‘slap dash’. We weren’t sure if the towel rail in the bathroom is heated? If it is, it doesn’t work? The ‘clean’ towels we were provided smelt really musty and damp, we had to re wash these so we could use them. The washing machine also smells musty, despite us putting it through a few cleaning cycles, so anything washed in it is not going to come out smelling daisy fresh! We agree with other comments that the back yard area needs a jet wash and tidy up, a small bistro set to sit out and have breakfast would be lovely. It’s a shame the bench out the front of the property is no longer there to sit and admire the sunsets in an evening. There is ample cupboard space in the kitchen, and whilst there is plenty of necessary crockery the cupboards need organising and the unnecessary clutter; such as pots of paint and odd glass wear from the local pubs removing. Some proper drinking and wine glasses, and some plastic drinking containers for use around the hot tub would be appreciated. A visitors book for people to leave comments and recommendations on places to visit and eat would be a nice addition. Positives: we found the cleanliness to be acceptable, the beds were comfy, lots of wardrobe space, where to park was clearly marked upon entering the property. We loved the log burner in an evening as well. The two pubs are both easily walked to, we didn’t eat at either though, so cannot comment on the food. We would recommend and return to this property if we holidayed in the area again.
This is the ideal cottage to stay at for the 3 peaks challenge.
It’s conveniently located and the hot tub is a welcome addition after a long days walking.
