Description

Tucked away on a farm near the quaint village of Pateley Bridge in North Yorkshire is Mosscarr Barn.

This luxurious, dog-friendly, stone-fronted barn conversion benefits from fabulous, far-reaching views across the countryside and a characterful interior where charming original features like exposed beams and a-frames have been thoughtfully blended with top of the range, contemporary appliances contributing to a truly memorable stay for a group of eight or families looking to experience the tranquillity of the countryside.

Cross the threshold, a welcoming living/dining room greets you, unwind on the plush sofas in front of the soothing crackle of the woodburning stove while the designated chef of the group whips up a storm in the fully-equipped kitchen.

Gather the family around the table to tuck in and reminisce of the memories you have created so far before stepping outside to savour the last of the sun with a glass of wine in hand on the private patio.

When sleep calls, head inside to wash off the day in the sleek bathroom ready for a refreshing sleep in one of four bedrooms; there is a super-king-size, a double and a ground-floor double all with en-suite shower rooms and TVs and a twin.

If you can tear yourself away from this breath-taking property, head into the heart of Pateley Bridge to stock up on essentials at local stores or delight in an evening away from the kitchen at The Crown or The Royal Oak or you can enjoy some live music on Saturday afternoons (April to September) at the Bridge Inn at the end of the track..

The property boasts a fantastic location in the Yorkshire Dales National Park which is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts looking for a variety of walks and trails through, quaint rustic villages and stunning landscapes.

It also houses a myriad of notable attractions including the National Trust Site of Brimham Rocks, the 18th-century riverside ruins of Fountains Abbey, The Himalayan Garden and Sculpture Park and Parcevall Hall Gardens where guests can roam the 24 acres of woodland gardens.

Unearth the wonders of the Yorkshire Dales at Mosscarr Barn.

A beautiful barn conversion with attention to detail and high quality finishes.

It had absolutely everything we could wish for and it was the perfect place to spend time with friends. The only slight difficulty was the wi-fi was not working in the barn so we had to go out into the yard to make contact with family when we needed to.

Cannot fault anything about our stay at Mosscarr Barn.

Immaculately clean throughout, exactly as the pictures show in the listing, and the kitchen is very well equipped. The beds are comfortable and the lounge has plenty of seating for a party of 8 people. Little basket with a toy and treats for our dog, and a lovely welcome basket for the adults with teas, coffees, hot chocolate and biscuits. Property is remote and up a gravel dust track which was perfect for walks to Wath, Pateley Bridge or a nearby quarry. The cows are friendly and inquisitive and we’d often see one looking in the downstairs windows. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.
