A lovely cottage.

It was very comfortable and well equipped. The location would suit a couple who enjoy walking and the outdoors. It is a peaceful and picturesque area with plenty of wildlife to see and pitch black night skies to enjoy. Ripon, Harrogate and York are in easy reach.

Loved the cottage.

Our 2nd time. Has everything you need for the stay. One thing that has to be said is take your own pillow. The pillows look really nice and fluffy, however once you lay on them, they go really flat and the mattress is quite firm. We stayed a week and did not get one good night sleep. The cottage is close to quite a few attractions. We loved Fountain Abbey and the deer park. Went a few times weather permitted.

The property is small but perfect for two people.

The outside sitting areas were good. We used the washing machine and the outside line was very useful. The only thing I looked for that wasn't there was an iron/ironing board but worked around it fine. It's feels very remote but that's exactly what we wanted. So peaceful and quiet. We really enjoyed our time at the cottage, and exploring the local area.
