Wynnville

As it is the fifth time we have been to Wynville it goes without saying that we love it.

It is so restful if that is what you want, although you can go to quite a number of places of interests within a few miles from the cottage. Everything is provided for you in the cottage we are always welcomed when we arrive. We highly recommend the accommodation to anyone

Property was just right for us.

Nice beds, well functioning kitchen. Only slight issue was the shower tray was slow at draining but this was easily worked around.

Nice house in quiet place.

Walking distance to beautiful Skipton. The garage wich was connected through a door with the kitchen, had a terrible smell that had to be kept out by keeping the door shut. The region is beautiful for hiking. Fantastic landscapes.

Lovely bungalow.

Quiet and peaceful. So well equipped. Even had little extras like cling film, foil, salt and pepper. Good to have an empty cupboard in the kitchen to put our food in. Didn't realise until our last evening there, that the TV was a smart TV. Would recommend to family and friends.

Our third stay at this property.

Always very clean, tidy and well equipped, with nice essentials left by the owner to start you off. Warm on cooler days with the renter in control of the heating. Lovely quiet village, but close to all tourist attractions. Everything is supplied for a comfortable stay. Owners are next door if needed but not intrusive.

The bungalow was lovely and comfortable, the only downside was that the bathroom was very cold

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location.

We only stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting Skiptons crafts in the pen.

The cottage was clean, on a quiet housing estate and suited the two of us perfectly. Only a short drive into Skipton, if you're fitter than us you can walk there. One thing to note, if you prefer eating in the cottage, there's nearly 40 places that deliver food via the JustEat app.

My husband especially is comfortable with the higher chairs and bed. Apart from a dishwasher all facilities are good. For the future a slightly higher toilet would be good for comfort. We love staying there, in fact we've booked for next year already.

as always very welcoming, nothing too much trouble if needed we have enjoyed our fifth time at wynville and hopefully be returning as soon as we can get booking.

Lovely property, could not fault it, however the only problem was that the owner took it on himself to turn all the heating off, I appreciate it was very warm during the day, however we are in our seventies and feel the cold, which it was at night, I know we could have asked him, but if the booking states heating is included, it should be there to use, without having to ask.

Another good holiday at Wynnville.

The bungalow is well equipped and convenient. The location is very good, with two pubs serving good food and a useful village shop. Lovely villages, towns and countryside within easy reach. We hope to come again.

The property was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with everything we needed for a pleasant stay.

A nice welcome pack of essentials is left to save going shopping. The property is nice and warm with everything needed in the kitchen if you did want to cook. Lounge has a good TV and comfy chairs and sofa. Beds are comfortable with plenty of storage for clothes etc. Garden is nice, although it wasn't warm enough to sit out while we were there, but would be lovely in the summer. This is our second stay at this property, as we find Embsay a nice quiet village close to all of the places we like to visit in this area of Yorkshire.

This is probably the best equipped holiday home we have stayed in.

There was everything we could possibly have needed, including a hair dryer. The location is excellent with two good pubs in the village of Embsay who both do food (check with them first though). There is good access to lots of tourist attractions in the area, including Malham Cove, Bolton Abbey, Wensleydale Creamery and Aysgarth Falls. One tip is to run off a bowl or so of water from the hot taps before trying a shower as it can take a long time for the hot water to reach it, but it's no trouble at all. There are a lot of places we didn't get time to visit, so will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our stay at Wynnville.

The bungalow was very cosy and warm and had all amenities (apart from a hairdryer). The shower had a very good pressure and the bed was good. The owners were very friendly and we would happily stay there again and can recommend it to anyone who would like to explore the surrounding area.

A lovely property ideal for a couple, especially older as the chairs and bed are higher and there is a shower.

Spotless with everything you need to enjoy your break. The new tumble dryer is most welcome. Mr and Mrs Lawson are very friendly and nearby in case of problems. Embsay is a quiet village with a shop and post office and Skipton is a short drive away. There are many other really nice places to visit a short drive away. We really enjoy our stays at Wynnville

Unfortunately we found the bed not very comfortable, sheets/pillowcases although clean are old and need to be replaced, carpets were badly stained, cottage decor and furniture needs upgrading.

Great selection of DVD,s but no DVD player. Every morning we found a snails on the Kitchen floor. On the plus side the property is in a great location, gardens were excellent and the welcome pack of milk and bread was good. The surrounding area is packed with interesting places to visit.

A very comfortable and well equipped bungalow.

This is our 2nd visit to Wynville, nice and clean and comfortable.

My wife and I were visiting family in the area so did not do much sightseeing. The are is stunning though with lots of local walks. The owner leaves a lovely welcome pack of bread, milk and biscuits, there has always been a good supply of essentials like tea, coffee, sugar etc. Thanks for another wonderful stay

Lovely Bungalow in a really quiet location.

Every amenity is catered for and the property is cosy and warm. There is a spacious back garden too to enjoy if the weather allows. Embsay is a fabulous quiet village with 2 good pubs serving good food at realistic prices and the village shop sells the essentials.

Well maintained with helpful and pleasant owners. The property is well equipped and we had everything we needed for our stay.

It was home from home, everything you could ever need is there. Both local pubs are very nice and the food is excellent. Can't wait to return next year.

Wynneville is a lovely bungalow, exceptionally clean and well maintained.

It has every comfort and piece of equipment you could want although I did find the single bed a bit ‘soft’ for my needs. The lovely back garden is sheltered and has a table and chairs for when the sun shines. The bungalow is in a lovely location, well placed for Skipton and touring around Yorkshire. The owners are very pleasant, and available to help or to give advice if you need it.

Extremely clean, quiet and comfortable bungalow, good wifi, nice welcome pack and very accommodating owners.

We would highly recommend a stay - it’s so convenient for travelling around Skipton and the local highlights such as Malham Cove, Ilkley and Embsay crag. There is good off road parking plus there is a bus stop a few minutes walk away if needed, we walked into Skipton (20 mins) on a few occasions which is very convenient and such a nice town.

The property was a great place to stay, with plenty room, a garden back and front and good car parking.

It provided an ideal base for exploring the local area. The property owner had provided bread, milk and biscuits in a welcome pack, which was very useful, and we knew how to contact them in the event of any queries.

We have stayed here 7 times.

It is a smashing place to stay and easy to get to local towns and attractions. Will be back again.

Wynnville is perfect for us because it has a high bed and chairs which my husband needs.

Mr and Mrs Lawson ate very helpful. We had all we needed for a comfortable stay and it is in a lovely setting. There isn't a dishwasher but there is a Morrisons and M&S food in Skipton to minimise washing up. . Plenty of exploring in a beautiful area of Yorkshire.

I spoke with Rosamund the owner to say we had a lovely time but because the main bedroom window catch was broken we had quite a few big spiders in (which I hate!

) nature I know but there were quite a few cobwebs in corners too so I think a deep clean is necessary. Overall a lovely few days, great for our needs & well equipped and welcoming. The bed was super comfy & all fresh & clean . The property could benefit from some decorating in parts but I feel this was reflected in the price.

my friend and i went for a restful few days away after a bad illness.

i did not know the owners lived next door or i wouldn't of booked it, we felt like we could not relax, that's maybe just us. The beds are a nightmare, their so uncomfortable, you felt like your back was breaking, we came home a day earlier because we couldn't bear the thought of another night in them beds. the cold tap did not work if we had told the owners they probably would of fixed it but we just wanted to be left alone.

Our second visit to this lovely cottage and we enjoyed our stay immensely, only used the car a couple of times as there were numerous walks from the door

Such a lovely, comfortable bungalow that has everything you will need to make a self catering holiday in Skipton a great stay, with added bonus of driveway parking.

Extremely clean, comfortable, wifi, just perfect for family of 3. The lovely welcoming owners only live next door should you need anything. Highly recommend. There's also a bus stop a few minutes walk to the Main Street with another 5 - 10 min bus ride into Skipton town itself.

The property was in a good location.

However we were disappointed with the overall standard of accommodation as the furniture and fittings need to be updated. The mattresses were very uncomfortable, the bedding and towels looked faded and old. The kitchen units were falling apart and had a musty smell.

This was our first venture out post lockdown.

Felt extremely safe in the village environment. Enjoyed the walks in and around Embsay and even had three meals in the local pubs which is something we haven't done in the city yet. Thank you for a lovely break. The bungalow was excellent and the owners who live next door were friendly and unobtrusive. Will certainly try to return sometime next year.

The house was warm and cosy and had all we needed.

The owners were very kind, helpful and unobtrusive. The house was decorated for Christmas in a very pleasant understated way and we enjoyed our stay.

Lovely compact bungalow on the outskirts of skipton.

Milk and bread in the fridge on arrival, every kind of utensil and equipment in the kitchen to prepare meals, owners just next door if any problems crop up (they didn’t). Would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to spend some time pottering around in the Yorkshire dales or doing some strenuous walking. Would certainly return

A well appointed bungalow in a lovely part of the country.

Every amenity was available in the bungalow including toilet paper and washing up necessities. You were good to go straight away. We did not meet the owners as they themselves were away on holiday but the place was immaculate. Lots to see and do around the Skipton area but the Embsay location was very peaceful and quiet. I would recommend this bungalow to all.

First class holiday apart from the lousey British weather Had to cut it short by one day.

A cosy and comfortable cottage in quiet surroundings.

The only issues were that the TV is very small and the wifi set up is a bit strange but it worked well most of the time. Parking was easy in the large paved area in front of the cottage.

Fantastic for walking and good area for local village and towns to visit we will go back again sometime

Your presentation of this cottage contains the following statement: "The spacious rear garden of this Embsay cottage is ideal for dining alfresco.

.." Anyone considering a holiday in this cottage should be aware that the owners (who live next door) have direct access to its rear garden via gates in their boundary fence. Part of the cottage garden is used by them as a vegetable plot, which they enter to cultivate and water (we were staying in summer) without notice. This means that anyone wanting to use the cottage garden for "dining alfresco" or anything else should be aware that the owners are liable to appear in the garden at any time. We had this experience a couple of times, including one morning for several hours. Some people will not mind this, while others may feel that they do not have the full run of a facility (the cottage garden) that appears to form part of the advertised offer. The owner's use of the cottage water supply (via an outside tap) to water his plants can also mean there is not enough water pressure inside the cottage for showers etc. The cottage itself is excellent, clean and good value for money.

Ideal spot for visiting many locations, the owners are most welcoming and very helpful.

It was a very nice bungalow with good access to the Dales.

The owners who live next door were extremely helpful. The village had a very nice pub serving great food with easy access.
