What a wee gem, with beautiful features from the original building incorporated.

Downstairs is one really large room incorporating the kitchen, large dining area and relaxing lounge. A wonderful space allowing us to be together, doing our own things, especially when I am cooking an evening meal. The views from the lounge are gorgeous overlooking the fields and countryside. The kitchen has been really well equipped allowing you to cook from scratch with plenty of pots, pans, crockery, etc, including a weighing scales! Full instructions on how to use all appliances are provided. Recycling and food waste bin are a big thing with well labelled bins outside. Three lovely large bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Plenty of towels provided and really comfy beds. Wonderful, relaxing stay and there's a pub in easy walking distance, what more can you ask for. Thanks again ☺️

Perfect in every way.

Spotlessly clean, spacious, lovely views & great location. Ploughman's Rigg accommodates 7 people very comfortably. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The extra fridge was particularly handy. Beds and huge sofa were very comfy. We would love to return and bring our dog next time.

Being only 15 minutes from Harrogate makes it the perfect destination. The property is by far the best we have ever stayed in and the owners were so welcoming. I have given it a 5 star rating but it is worthy of 6 stars. We will definitely be returning.

Ploughman's Rigg is a wonderful cottage in an excellent location.

We have holidayed in many country cottages and stayed in none better.

As a family with small children we loved Ploughman’s Rigg.

It offered us everything we needed, from peace and quiet, beautiful countryside, comfort, and space. It is appointed to a high level and appreciation to detail. Stunning views, and a perfect place to relax. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts who were so friendly and generous. We will hopefully return soon. With thanks to Tim and Carol

Soo peaceful n relaxing, just what was needed

Very nice accommodation, easily housed 6 adults and a child.

Very clean and a practical living space. The bay window provided great country views and it was an easy commute to visit places like Harrogate and Wetherby, both only 15 min away. There were places to walk from the house but we did not have opportunity to explore these. For local eating places we had a good lunch at the Castle Inn, Spofforth.

Absolutely fabulous accommodation which was well equipped and very comfortable.

Very large open plan kitchen and lounge space which was lovely and warm. Great location for walking to nearby villages and beyond or visiting the local area by car. Would definitely highly recommend.

An absolutely perfect cottage for us to celebrate an early family Christmas.

It is a clean, modern, well equipped & spacious Cottage. Great Country views & plenty of parking. We were left a nice welcome pack of milk, wine & fruit. This was our second stay at this group of farm cottages (3). We have already booked for next year.

A fantastic property the best one we have been to yet.

Cannot fault it in anyway. Beautiful,clean , comfortable, perfect. The welcome basket was also great the owners even catered for me, I am gluten free which was very thoughtful of them . We couldn't have asked for more. The very large TV was enjoyed especially by my nephew. We hope to visit the property again on the future. Thank you to the owners for such a great property.

Had a long weekend here at ploughman's rigg with family and friends and we will be back, what an amazing place it is, beautiful and quiet, clean, spacious, everything you would need (except the hob that didn't work on full when using more than 1) sure that will be replaced next time but there was a seperate single hob we could use.

Nice friendly owner was chatty and informative, lovely local walks, we all highly recommend this accommodation.

Ploughmans Rigg was easily one of the best accommodations we’ve stayed in.

It was perfect for our family of four, with each bedroom featuring its own ensuite—a real bonus, especially with our children now young adults. The property served as a wonderful base for exploring local attractions and truly felt like a home away from home. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided, including a generous and much-appreciated welcome hamper. The accommodation was clean, tidy, and full of character, with a distant view of York visible through the patio doors. There’s even a telescope, allowing you to spot York Minster in the distance. The property owner was a lovely and helpful lady who made our stay even more enjoyable. Honestly, I would happily live at Ploughman's Rigg.

Our second visit to Ploughman's Rigg.

The location is peaceful but also has so much to see and do in the area and nice walks too. Very comfortable house with everything we could need. Hopefully we'll return for another visit

The accommodation here is absolutely amazing.

All the facilities are first class. We had a fantastic week here and loved the remoteness of it as it was so peaceful. Would definitely recommend this place and would love to stay here again.

What a lovely place; beautifully converted and luxuriously appointed.

Peaceful and quiet, away from public roads ... quite excellent. The owners advised taking care on the access road and with five adults in the car, I kept to first gear and did not have any problems

A lovely, very well-appointed property, with great attention to detail.

It had everything we needed for our stay and we really appreciated the generous welcome pack. It was in a great location, and the ability to be able to walk from the cottage into Spofforth was an added bonus.

Beautiful property.

Spotlessly clean. Amazing welcome pack inc homemade cakes. Extremely well equipped. Everything you could need is there. Even down to hand wash and boxes of tissues. Dishwasher tablets, washing liquid for the washing machine it was all provided. Plenty of parking. Lovely views from the property. Telescope on tripod is there too !! Outdoor seating front and rear. 10 out of 10. It couldn’t have been better. Thankyou to the owners.

Best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in and the standard of the bedrooms and bathrooms was like staying in a hotel.

The kitchen is very well equipped and no need to worry about packing dishwasher tablets or washing up liquid as these were provided along with soap in each bathroom and plenty of towels. Had a lovely meal at the Crown in Spofforth which can be reached by footpath. Found a big Sainsburys (Wetherby Rd, Harrogate) to stock up for the week. Enjoyed trips to Skipton, Knaresborough and of course York.

The accommodation is absolutely stunning and had everything you could possibly think of. The hosts were extremely accommodating and provided many extra little touches to make us feel so welcome and at home. We could have stayed longer! The location is stunning and peaceful

Everything was perfect - couldn't nitpick anything!

Lovely house with great views - very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Host was very thoughtful and left a lovely basket of treats, as well as basics for the fridge. We'll definitely be back for a week next time!

What an excellent place to stay, large basket of goodies to welcome us into Ploughmans Rigg, everything we needed for our stay, well stocked kitchen, extremely comfortable lounge with enormous television.

The upper floor is of the same standard as the ground floor, bedroom 3 with it's extremly large superking size bed, could get 4 people in it! The views from all the windows of the fields & surrounding country side, the only noise was the sheep in the field. Excellent location for visiting Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey & Knaresborough. Track to the accommodation needs a bit of attention.

We stayed at Ploughman’s Rigg for 3 nights at the end on May this year.

It was exceptionally well presented, very clean, lovely bedding and towels and importantly all the kitchen equipment and utensils you would ever need. We also really loved the green credentials for all the cottages including 2 EV chargers which we also used. Lovely location from which you can explore north Leeds, Harrogate and Wetherby. We walked into Spofforth to see the castle which was only a short walk long a lovely countryside footpath. Highly recommend for a family break in fabulous countryside.

Excellent stay at Ploughman’s Rigg cottage.

Every piece of equipment you will ever need is on hand and the instructions for equipment/oven/ heating invaluable. Warm welcome on arrival by the owners and the welcome basket with delicious scones along with bread and milk was very much appreciated by all of us. Cottage was immaculate and very comfortable and the on suite for each bedroom was appreciated by all. The view from Ploughman’s Rigg is exceptional and the telescope allowed us to see further. Enjoyed the walk into the village and exploring the surrounding countryside with our dogs. Would not hesitate in booking again.

Amazing property that had everything you need for a home away from home.

The property is finished to a very high standard and it is the best stocked cottage we have ever been to, they have absolutely everything you could need, Most cottages give you the bare minimum but not this one. Only downside for us was we found the beds a bit uncomfortable but we would definitely return.

Spotless, immaculate, all the latest kitchen gadgets.

In a beautiful quiet area surrounded by fields. A beautiful property that the owner takes great care of and adds personal touches. The welcome pack was so generous and filled with bread, milk, M&S shortbread, coffee, bottle of wine, sandwich cake. The owner even left a balloon

We honestly could not have asked for a better stay … the house was perfect for our family of 5 adults, two (small) children and one (big) dog it was perfectly set up with each bedroom having its own bathroom and a huge open plan kitchen/dining/living area.

The property was very well equipped and the welcome basket was a lovely touch. Some fabulous walks close by. We will most definitely be back

I couldn’t recommend this property enough.

They have absolutely everything there. They have considered the smallest detail and it shows! The sheets and bedding are glorious. The property has been finished to the highest standard. I just wished that I had booked for more nights. I will 100% book again!

A fabulous cottage.

The owners really had thought of everything. Beautifully finished.Very spacious, much bigger than it looked on the photos. Perfect for a family get together. Fabulous location with some lovely walks on the doorstep. We had a fabulous break, just wasn’t long enough. We would love to re visit.

It’s a perfect stay if you’re looking for a relaxing break. plus the location is perfect for visiting the many attractions nearby. Will be back next summer

Fantastic place

The property was excellent.

Warm. Comfortable. Everything we needed. Would easily and happily return to either hunker down and do nothing OR get out and explore!

This cottage is five star accommodation, it had the best welcome package, the owners are lovely , it is quiet and off the beaten track so you would need to take food or have a Delivery , a perfect place to relax and walk , the castle inn pub was lovely food and very welcoming.

a great place for dogs too . Would definately return. Could do with a first aid kit as couldn’t find one .

The cottage has beautiful views and the property very spacious and well equipped. The owners were very helpful and are us feel very welcome on arrival and we’re quick to get back to us when there was an issue with the hot water which they sorted straight away.

We came to Ploughman's Rigg as a family to celebrate a 75th birthday - and this cottage exceeded our expectations.

Ploughman's Rigg is faultless - even if you wanted to be really picky, you couldn't report a negative about this cottage. The hosts have paid exceptional attention to detail and consideration for the guest, ensuring it has been furnished to a very high standard and contains all of the useful things you need on a home-from-home stay - particularly in the kitchen, and the welcome gifts and cooking essentials. The cottage was impeccably clean, spacious and luxuriously comfortable. The hosts have even penned-off a 'personal' garden area outside of the backdoor to allow dogs to run freely and ensure they don't escape. The cottage is situated on a quiet working farm a short drive along their farm track. It is idyllically quiet and benefits from views across the sheep fields of North Yorkshire and even across to York on a bright day. Despite being hidden away in the Yorkshire countryside, there is very good mobile phone, WiFi and television reception. The eco-sustainability of these cottages is notable and should be celebrated. We would highly recommend Ploughman's Rigg, and we would without hesitation come to stay again.

all the equipment and furniture are first class. It is definitely five star plus. You won’t be disappointed. The owners are lovely people and very helpful. The views from the sitting room have to be seen to be believed.

Lovely Clean and bright modern cottage with all mod cons.

Very well appointed and maintained. Quiet rural location so own transport needed to get about but Harrogate, York etc are close by. Pleasant and helpful owner. Excellent Italian restaurant in Spofforth and Shoulder of Mutton pub in Kirkby Overblow also do a good choice of home cooked food. Both venues need to be booked. A fantastic cottage.

We really enjoyed our stay at ploughman’s rig.

Off the beaten track with wonderful views across the valley. The property is spectacular with high spec fixtures and fittings, beautiful L shaped leather soafa, all kitchen appliances are top quality under floor heating was perfect. The only slight markdown was the duvet was too heavy and ok for winter but too thick for summer. (Personal preference I guess) should have taken my own as I am a bit fussy. On suite and showers were superb. Thanks again for all your work to make our stay enjoyable

We all had a truly lovely stay at Ploughmans Rigg which was spacious and very comfortable.

The welcome box was most unexpected and full of lovely goodies. The facilities at the house were excellent and the communal lounge dining area and kitchen was lovely.

Fabulously spacious and comfortable, beautiful old barn restoration.

Carol was a lovely host, and provided lots of useful information and help with the unfamiliar hob for example. The Scotland jigsaw in the chest of games was very entertaining and challenging to say the least...we even considered staying an extra week so that we could finish it! We loved our stay. Thank you so much! Only issue was the WiFi did not work.

It was my mums 80th birthday. Carol bought a huge Balloon with 80 on and a deleicious birthday cake. Completley touched by her kindness. The cottage was spotless and finished in a high spec finish. Warm peaceful and stunning views. Thankyou for an amazing stay x

We had a lovely stay here.

The house was very well equipped and comfortable. The location was stunning too. Would quite happily return for another holiday. The WiFi was a bit unreliable which wasn't great when I had to do some work, but given it's rural location it can't really be such a surprise.

What a lovely place to stay!

The owners could not be more helpful… Superb accommodation and so, so comfortable! Little touches such as the bird feeding station and many more ‘extras’ make this a perfect place to stay. Thank you.

The property was in a perfect location, ideal for walking with our dogs and within easy travelling distance from Harrogate, York and Wetherby.

The standard of accommodation was outstanding. It was clean, warm and very comfortable hosting every facility and utensil required for our family Christmas break. We had a wonderful holiday and were extremely grateful to our hosts for their kindness, freedom to roam on their land and their fabulous welcome pack, all of which was greatly appreciated. We would most certainly book again!

Super cottage with options to hire 3 to accommodate extended family/group.

Perfectly clean, well equipped, fantastic views. I think it should be made clear that although there is a boundary to the overall 3 gardens that are designated as three separate areas, the delineation is visual and would not restrict children or dogs from straying into each other gardens. No privacy visually between gardens either. Great if you are a group but not if you want any outdoor private space

Absolutely loved Ploughman's Rigg.

Everything you could possibly need is provided plus a lot more. Our dogs really liked the under floor heating and the enclosed area just out the French doors was a good idea. The welcome pack was a nice thought.

An excellent, comfortable, holiday home.

We visited during some pretty wet and windy weather and the underfloor heating kept us very comfortable - we needed to go outside to find out whether it was cold! Would be very happy to return in the future.

A beautiful cottage and wonderful stay.

The cottage was decorated to a high standard with lots of amenities. We were impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was - lots of cutlery, cooking implements, cling film, tin foil and washing up products. Each bathroom has soap, shampoo and conditioner. A welcome basket when we arrived had basics and holiday treats. On arrival the owner noticed we had young children and brought a big box of toys, which the children used all week. This attention to detail and kindness really sets them apart. The cottage is well located, 10 minutes from Wetherby and Harrogate. Lots of places to visit close by. We highly recommend this cottage after our fantastic holiday.

Second time this year! Accommodation and location is ideal and the views … Both myself, husband and our 2 beagles love this place. Carol and family are great hosts and the welcome pack is the best we’ve had in any holiday property we’ve ever stayed at. This is one of the best properties we have stayed in, it was very clean, comfortable and a great location all round.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner was lovely and always on hand to help if necessary and the welcome pack was lovely too. We’ll definitely have to stay here again!

We had an amazing stay in a lovely cottage.

When we arrived there was a lovely hamper provided, complete with birthday cake and balloon for a birthday that we were celebrating. The cottage was spotless and the best we have stayed in. The kitchen is well equipped. The bedrooms are all doubles and en-suites. Downstairs is open plan and great for family gatherings. The tv is massive. The views form the windows are amazing and we enjoyed looking through the telescope at the scenery and birds. We had 2 dogs with us and there was a secure run for them outside the back door which was helpful. The only very slight issue is that the hob only allows one ring at full power at a time but we still managed to cook our family meals without too much trouble. Would definitely recommend and would definitely revisit. Thank Woodward family.

Very well equipped, spacious and comfortable. We've stayed in a lot of holiday cottages and I'm very fussy, but this was definitely one of the best. Very clean, lovely showers, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and great views. We would definitely stay there again.

This cottage was even better than expected.

Clean, spacious, comfy, well kitted out, they even put out toys for the kids! The biggest tv I’d ever seen. Resident red kites that my 8 year old fed from the back lawn! Beautiful view across to york, you can see the minster on a clear day! Lovely walks on the doorsteps (to lovely pubs!) we ate outside several times. A gorgeous week!

This is a lovely comfortable property, well presented and equipped. It has lovely views and walks from the site. The owners are friendly and welcoming and happy to help. We have no hesitation in recommending this lovely cottage.

Attention to our requirements with elderly parents and Carol fenced garden off so dogs were safe. A stunning setting, absolutely perfect in every way. Definitely will be back. Thankyou so very much Carol and family x

Lovely property with fantastic views.

Spacious, comfortable, clean, well equipped with great practical amenities for everyone, including the dogs. Great dog friendly walks on the doorstep with an outdoor shower to wash the mud off on return. A good pair of wellies / walking boots are a must. Easy access by car into Harrogate, Wetherby & Knaresborough. Some friendly local pubs serving excellent food are only 5 mins away by car. We visited The Castle Inn & The Shoulder & Mutton and recommend both. The property owners are lovely and always on hand and very helpful if you need them.

The unit was really good!

The shower in the right bedroom had not great water pressure and the track down was a little rough but really those are minor things. We would definitely stay again.

We have just returned from a week's stay at Ploughmans Rigg.

We were welcomed with a beautiful, clean house with a lovely welcome basket. We had an issue with the WiFi and the owner was around within 10 minutes to help fix the issue - fantastic care from the owners. The beds are very comfortable, lovely bathrooms and we even had a little penned off area of the garden for the dogs to go to the toilet. The views? Oh the views! Absolutely breath taking. We loved the telescope in the lounge for them too. The hob was a bit tricky as you can only cook on high on one not all 4, presumably energy saving but made cooking for a large family a bit of a task although not impossible by any means and very clear instructions in the visitors booklet to navigate appliances. It was lovely to wake to the lambs and sheep outside the bedroom window - and seeing all of the farm cats strolling by. We highly enjoyed our stay and would be very happy to return.

The property is furnished to a high standard as is very comfortable.

It's a short drive from the property to Harrogate and Knaresborough which was ideal. We enjoyed the public footpath walk into Spofforth, unfortunately we didn't make the walk to Kirkby Overflow due to poor weather. A great place to stay and would definitely revisit

Absolutely fantastic stay.

One of the best places we’ve stayed where we had ample space to relax and unwind. The facilities were amazing and the scenery outstanding. Perfect location to drive into Harrogate or wetherby and other surrounding areas. Stockeld park only 8 minutes up the road which is great for kids.

Lovely place it came up to expectation ,well equipped with a very nice welcome basket.

We had a great family get together .

We stayed here for a week with our 2 beagles and really didn’t want to leave.

The conversion of this property, has been completed very well and finished to the highest spec. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the underfloor heating was great, the kitchen was well equipped and then there were the views and location. Dog walks and public footpaths from the property were clearly marked. The utility area is a great space to wipe down those muddy paws and keep those muddy boots. There is a small garden area, within the larger garden, that has been fenced off (with temporary fencing so as not to spoil the view) which is ok for the dogs for the first am & last pm “visit”. The owners are on site and were a lovely, friendly family. The gift basket had tea, cake, biscuits, milk, butter, bread and wine inside, all of which we had been asked preference of or allergy concerns before arrival. We travel a few times a year with our dogs and have to say this has been the best property we have stayed in. Tried to book for Christmas, but they were already booked. We will definitely be returning!

We had a fabulous weekend at Ploughman’s Rigg to celebrate a 40th birthday with family.

The cottage was beautiful and finished to an extremely high standard. There was a lovely welcome basket and birthday ballon provided on arrival which was a lovely touch. The views over the countryside were beautiful. Would highly recommend.

A lovely cottage that was perfect for our group of 6.

This cottage was exactly as described and was lovely to spend Christmas in with friends and family.

The kitchen had everything you could need to truly self cater, all the furniture and fittings were beautiful and very stylish, the views over the countryside and sheep were outstanding! There was a beautiful welcome basket provided by Mrs Woodward who even asked if we has any preferences or dietary requirements, the Betty's Fat Rascals included were especially delicious! she also decorated the cottage for Christmas with a beautiful real tree, decorations and lights inside and around the farmyard. We all felt at home here and were made very welcome by the owners.

What a fabulous property, it has been presented in a five star fashion with everything you require for a first class holiday, the fixtures and fittings were to an extremely high standard, comfy beds and lounge/dining area seating alongside an extremely well equipped kitchen and all this combined with a very warm and informative welcome from the Woodford family means we had a great week (shame we weren’t there longer!

!!) so we can highly recommend this property to one and all.

Absolutely lovely cottage.

A wonderful welcome pack was there to greet us on arrival and we were very comfortable the whole weekend. The kitchen was well equipped and the spare dishwasher tablets, loo rolls etc were very much appreciated. We found the cottage easily with the instructions given and access to the cottage was very straightforward. There's lots of lovely walks nearby and public footpaths - the pub in Spofforth (about 40 minute walk via the footpaths) is well worth a visit.

Excellent open plan layout with all the essentials provided to a high standard.

Bedrooms were all en suite and comfortably furnished. All rooms were heated with independent temperature controls. The kitchen area was well fitted out and easy to clean. Be prepared for a somewhat bumpy drive to the property for the last half mile or so.

A fantastic holiday house!

We had three generations staying including two children under 5years old. The owners provided high quality equipment including a lovely range of toys for the children. The property was finished to a high standard and the welcome basket was very welcome! Spectacular views and could even make our York Minster in the distance on a clear day. I would highly recommend this property.

Beautifully finished, clean and exceptionally comfortable.

Lovely and warm all day. Views are incredible and watching the sunrise was a fabulous site. Although situated on a working farm you don’t hear any noise. Beautiful woodland walks onsite. Owners were super helpful in recommending child and dog friendly restaurants. Located perfectly for places of interest and visiting Harrogate. Couldn’t fault and will highly recommend!

WiFi was very spotty.

Bit rough lane to get to property. Otherwise very clean and well equipped. Enjoyed the welcome pack. Very good location for visiting Dales and Moors.

A very welcoming and well equipped cottage.

On arrival we were greeted by a wonderful welcome pack which was much appreciated. The friendly owners were always on hand and helpful. There are plenty of well marked footpaths and bridleways right from the cottage door and Harrogate and Wetherby are closeby. A lovely area, worth visiting.

A well converted property, fitted out to a high standard with lovely views towards Spofforth.

Brighter lighting in the sitting area should be implemented and the broadband speed makes it barely usable.

We love this holiday property!

The owners have thought of everything you could possibly want or need. This is our second time staying at Ploughmans Rigg and we think it topped the first! It is in great location for lots of local walks, city sightseeing, golf courses, horse riding and friendly pubs. From the pre arrival communications and welcome, amazing welcome basket, truly comfortable bedrooms and stunning views, it is a real find. We would not hesitate to come back and would love tot visit at Christmas/New Year in the future. Thank you for having us!

Ploughman's Rigg is an excellent cottage with everything a family needs for a wonderful holiday.

It is very spacious and has excellent facilities. The welcome pack was great for adults and children, who were delighted with their teddy biscuits. Extras were provided without request for the children. Overall an excellent cottage and welcome in a great location.

Fabulous accommodation - spacious, clean, modern and very well equipped. Fantastic views and the welcome and support was great. Peaceful with plenty of lovely walks around the farm. Dog friendly too! Highly recommended.

Ploughman’s Rigg is an absolutely beautiful cottage with everything needed for a comfortable stay.

We were 3 family’s and 2 dogs and the downstairs open space was perfect. A small pen has been set up outside the kitchen door for our dogs to do their business. Comfortable garden furniture was set up outside. My only comment would be that the garden is not enclosed and therefore the dogs had to be on a lead when we were outside relaxing. This in my opinion is the only drawback of this cottage. The owners are very helpful and the welcome very warm.

The shower in the family room isn’t very powerful.

Apart from that excellent stay.

The cottage is in a beautiful setting, very quiet and relaxing.

The cottage is maintained to a very high standard and is very clean. It is a good base to visit the surrounding area or there are walks available from the cottage itself. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch. We had an amazing week and will definitely book the cottage again.

Great property.

The photos online don't do it justice. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we need, with a very lovely welcome package. Only thing that could be improved was the curtains being more black out, it was very bright very early and late, which meant our kids were up late and awake early!

The location and the property are stunning.

There are very high quality fittings and furnishing throughout with plenty of outdoor seating and views across the Vale of York to York Minster. We had the best time - the hosts are friendly and helpful and there are plenty of walks straight from the property. We hope to stay again soon.

A superb property - well designed and maintained.

A lot of care has gone into this cottage. And a great location too, in a quiet farm setting very near to Harrogate. We watched a pair of red kites hunting and playing in the fields outside the big windows every day.

We had a lovely week here with our friends and their two dogs.

The house has been furbished to a very high standard and we had lots of room. Especially enjoyed the wonderful hamper left for us. Great location. Only slight negative was in the directions for arrival - would have been useful if we had been informed to look out for the sign to "Green Hagg cottages". We would have driven past this if our friends hadn't found it first. Otherwise owners were helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back some day.

Beautiful, spacious, cottage, containing everything you need for a luxury break.

Large bedrooms which all have en-suites and the most comfortable beds providing the best nights sleep ever. Fully equipped kitchen (just like being at home). Furnished to a very high spec, received a lovely welcome hamper on arrival. Highly recommend, looking forward to staying again.

This is the first time that we have rented a property for a holiday and we have absolutely loved it.

Carol and her family, who own the cottages were excellent hosts - available and attentive when we had any questions or requirements.. The property has been refurbished to a very high standard and we will no doubt be booking for a return visit.

The facilities are excellent and the owners are very friendly and welcoming, we all had a great time.

The property was spotless, luxurious, spacious and incredibly well stocked. The welcome hamper with prosecco and Betty's products was a lovely surprise! The host was very helpful when we had a late arrival and the farm gate was closed and also helped us in booking a taxi from the property. We have already said we would love to come back again! Couldn't fault our experience, thanks again.

What a fantastic place - we have booked again for March already but in Millers wheel .

The cottage was so well equipped, spotlessly clean and super comfy beds. The space is amazing and was an ideal location for a family get together . Carol was a great host not just for us but offering bowls and bed for dog . There is a lovely walk from the door into Spofforth and is a very good location . Cant wait to come back

The property was fantastic but the only reason we booked it was the Electric Car Charger on site.

Have just returned from a wonderful long weekend staying at Ploughmans Rigg.

The cottage exceeded our expectations. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and extremely well equipped. The location is also superb with some great walks from the doorstep. The communication with the owners was excellent throughout and the very generous welcome basket was very much appreciated. Wouldn't hesitate to reccomend this cottage to others.

Great location, friendly hosts, comfortable and clean cottage

When we arrived the owners had gone above and beyond all expectations.

We had mentioned we were seeing my mums sister and it was her birthday, they provided a cake and balloon, lovely. The owners even put up a fence so we could keep a proper eye on the dog. The cottage had amazing views and the walks from the cottage were great. A great pub in the village of Spofforth, within walking distance. Very relaxed holiday, highly recommended.

The property was finished to a very high standard with "hotel grade bedrooms" and was very comfortable and spacious.

The Welcome Hamper left for us by the owners was excellent and had lots of local produce. The outside space was plentiful for all especially for BBQs and the dogs with access to local footpaths to the neighbouring village and across the farmland. A good location and base to explore all of Yorkshire with the Dales 20 minutes away and Whitby and Scarborough just over an hour away.

!! So Spacious with everything at our finger tips!!! Not to mention spotlessly clean!!! The grounds and gardens were just Beautiful too!!! From the moment we all arrived we felt very welcome and so well catered for!!! We arrived to a lovely food parcel waiting for us too which was so kind and thoughtful!!! We had the perfect holiday in a perfectly idyllic setting and will definitely be returning next year!!!
