Penny Cottage

While the cottage is very comfortable and well equipped, we did find that being an older couple, the stairs are quite steep and not being able to park outside cottage, was a bit of a problem.

However, I would recommend the cottage. The area is lovely and howarth is a beautiful town.

Very clean and welcoming.

A lot of nice homely touches. Comfortable beds and comfortable seating downstairs. We really enjoyed out accommodation and stay and lots of nice places to visit. We will revisit very soon. Linda and Noel

All good apart from shower head.

It kept slipping down the pole making it difficult to shower. Not a biggy, but can easily be fixed for other guests.

A lovely 4 night stay wish we could have stayed longer.

The Cottage was well equipped ,comfortable and met all our needs. Would love to stop again.

Very lovely comfy cottage and a prime location for Haworth main street and surroundong areas.

An outside light at front and back of cottage would be a good idea especially at the back into the garden as there are a few steps to go down into the garden. A lovely garden and place to sit out, all in all we loved our stay at Penny Cottage. Would definitely visit again, although there could be some difficulty parking in peak season.

This is such a sweet little cottage, very clean and well maintained and had everything we needed.

It’s close to the town centre and great for walks from the front door. The garden looks like it is a great place to sit in spring and summer! A mention to Alison the owner, she was so thoughtful and attentive to what we needed in the days leading up to our visit. Thank you Alison! It really made usé feel welcome and relaxed right from the start.

Lovely cozy cottage offering the most romantic getaway.

Situated near the centre of Haworth where everything is within walking distance. So quiet and peaceful with a warm welcome. Owners are on hand if needed and we appreciated the friendly contact and little extras. We found a lovely park at the end of the street which was ideal for our four-legged family members. An unforgettable stay in one of the most beautiful places so full of history. Well worth another visit and we can’t wait to return to the warmth of beautiful Penny Cottage.

Well equipped, perfectly positioned, cosy cottage, with secure garden.

Parked the car on arrival, and didn't use it again until we left. Everything within easy reach, including shops, pubs, restaurants and fab walks for our 2 springer spaniels. Special mention for The Hawthorn restaurant, who made our anniversary very special, and thanks to Alison, for the recommend ❤️

Lovely, cosy little cottage in a fab location.

Comfortable bed and sofa and the kitchen had everything we needed. My husband and I spent a weekend here with our small lurcher. The house was perfect for our dog, with a fully enclosed garden accessed from the dining area. We hope to return!

Good communication with the owner. Great position for access to village. Excellent fish & chip shop just over the road. We would definitely stay there again.

We arrived at Penny Cottage on Sunday 21st Dec and stayed until 28th December.

We had a fabulous relaxing week. Penny Cottage is set in a great location just a few minutes walk from Main Street. There are some amazing independent shops and bars within a few minutes walk but you need to walk up the main street, not a problem if you love walking like we do. Transport links are fab, bus service a minutes walk or walk down to the station and jump on a steam train. From the minute we arrived we felt at home. The cottage is beautifully decorated, it is cosy and warm, ideal for a relaxing winter break. Our hosts, whom we happened to meet by chance in the local pub, were so friendly and welcoming. They left us a beautiful gift of wine, biscuits, treats for our small dog and chocolate for our daughter. This was such a lovely touch. Parking for us wasn't a problem as we managed to park outside the cottage but it is quite tight. The main road wasn't a problem, just the odd car travelling a little bit fast late at night. You wouldn't hear it if you have the window closed, however I always sleep with a window open. I would definitely recommend this beautiful, cosy, clean cottage which for us was in the perfect location and will definitely be returning.

Alison and Colin have thought of everything and are on hand if needed.

It was a perfect cosy and comfortable home from home cottage. Well placed for howarth village but not too close so lovely and quiet. We will definitely be going again.

I had a great stay at Penny Cottage.

Very kind owner who I had easy and friendly communication with before and at the end of my stay. The cottage is very central in the idyllic setting of Haworth. Fantastic views and walks right on the doorstep. The accommodation is immaculately cleaned. The smart tv in the lounge is fast. The bed is very comfortable. The heating was instant and strong. The main thing I appreciated, despite the central location, was just how quiet and peaceful it was, making for a great stay. I would love to come back again in the future. Thanks.

Lovely little cottage in the heart of Haworth.

Spotlessly clean and well apointed we had a more than comfortable week here exploring all that Haworth has to offer. Parked with no fuss right outside the cottage. Short walk to Central Park and Main St, the park is lovely and beautifully maintained great for early morning dog walks and as a cut through to the train station to travel the steam train. Haworth is a wonderful village with such a nice atmosphere with many places to eat & drink and all dog friendly, our favourite was the Writers Bloc who distill there own Gin & Rum and are so friendly. All in all Penny Cottage is a great choice to stay with a welcoming host.

A really beautifully maintained and decorated terraced cottage right in the centre of Haworth.

The decor was a touch of La France with tasteful touches in every room. The facilities were great and our dog relaxed by the fire and made it her home from home. Just a caution that in keeping with the age of the property, the staircase is very narrow. The owners were so helpful and kept in touch, answering any query.

Beautiful little cottage.

Very clean and everything you need is supplied. Great location 5 minute walk to the Main Street where all the shops and pubs are. 5 minute walk to the main Central Park,great to walk your dog.15 minute walk to Haworth train station where you can catch heritage steam train. Also great communication from the owners. If we are in the area again we will try and book this cottage .Enclosed garden so you know you dog is safe. Steve & Lynn

First of all, for those of you with fluffy buddies, the garden is entirely enclosed, you can let them run free and they can escape!

As noted in the description, it is on street parking, and although adequate, you might have a little walk a bit depending on your luck. Aside from that, it's a lovely little cottage, great location, and you can even hear the steam train whistling!

Absolutely gorgeous cottage.

Clean, cosy and comfortable. It’s in the perfect location in Haworth, within a very short walk to a great selection of pubs, cafes and shops. And perfect for us for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Great enclosed garden which our dog loved. We’d definitely return

We have stayed in different cottages in Howarth and this one did'nt disappoint. Ideal for the park with the dog, and places to eat.

Beautiful, sunny and peaceful garden. Lovely bedrooms tastefully decorated. Brontë Parsonage and whole village enthralling. Stairs quite steep for anyone with more severe mobility issues. All very clean with every thing you could want. We spent an enchanting 3 nights here and would love to return. Thank you.

The cottage was ideal for a short break the bed was comfortable the facilities were very good and thought about.

The downside as far as I was concerned were the steep stairs but then I live in a bungalow so I am out of practice with stairs

Very secure for the dogs too. Cottage was very clean and cosy. It's near to the main street and the park. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it

This is a lovely little cosy cottage, fabulous location to explore Haworth & the moors.

Great garden too. We had an issue with the electrics & the owner was really responsive in trying to sort it out.

We loved Penny cottage.

Stayed in Haworth for the weekend in January, what a beautiful place, lots of lovely shops, bars & pubs and was really surprised how busy it was. Penny cottage was perfect in every way. Lovely decor, clean, and comfortable beds, and all the equipment you need for a weekend or week long stay. Enclosed garden if you have a dog is perfect too. Short walk to Main Street, around 5 minutes. Off street parking was easy, and if you couldn’t get a space outside there were plenty on roads nearby. Loved the cottage and Haworth, and we can’t wait to go back.

We loved our stay at Penny Cottage.

It has been sympathetically restored and modernised with beautiful furnishings making it so homely and inviting. We found the Haworth Old Hall pub to be friendly with tasty and reasonably priced food which was a 2-5 minute walk down the street. The old part of the village looked very pretty lit up with the Christmas decorations at night and the cottage was also similarly decorated as we stated in between Christmas and new year. We’d love to come back, maybe when the weather is a bit warmer!

Penny Cottage is a brilliant place to stay in Haworth, it’s in an excellent location for shops, bars and restaurants.

We stayed on Christmas Eve for 4 nights, the cottage is spotlessly clean, very well equipped with everything you need and so cozy and homely. Alison and Colin were very helpful if you needed anything, and they made it so Christmassy and the festive treats were a lovely surprise. We definitely recommend and we will be back .
